Play Ball!

With the Varsity Baseball season cut short due to COVID, summer games were not in the original plan. But God still had something in store for the team. Varsity Baseball took the field at Dr. Pepper Ballpark on June 16 for a final two games.

“It was an Amazing Day! Being able to play two games at Rough Rider stadium was truly a blessing. The two games helped ease the pain of a canceled season for the seniors and enabled us to end our 2020 season on the field.”

–Coach Embry

“The Summer Series games made for an incredible day. God blessed us with a beautiful day in which to play and host the games. It gave us a chance to send out fouryear player and senior Lauren Bingham. We were also able to bring up some of the incoming freshmen early to welcome them to the team. A huge thank-you goes out to Coach Johnson for putting this together and the whole Athletic Department staff for their support.”

–Coach Zdrojewski

Varsity Softball hosted four teams from our district on June 18 for a Summer Series. Each team was able to play two more games after their COVID-shortened seasons. The teams came together that evening and hosted a Senior Night unlike any other to honor the contributions of outgoing seniors from all of the teams.
