CLARENDON CONNECTION LEO CLUB OF CLARENDON MONTHLY UPDATE
Connecting you with the world of service! Issue 5 – March 2015
Serving at Special Olympics Jamaica On Saturday, February 7, 2015, the Clarendon Leos along with Leos across Jamaica journeyed to the University of Technology to volunteer at the Special Olympics Jamaica H e a l t h Screening, Basketball and Swim Meet. It was a rewarding and "eye opening" experience as we became more aware of the enthusiasm, talent and even health issues of persons with Intellectual Disability.
We were also given an opportunity to share our passion with the world as we were filmed by a crew from Lions Clubs International for a new documentary to be shown at the 98th Annual Lions Clubs International Convention in Honolulu, Hawaii.
We offered support conducting visual acuity tests, colour vision tests and cheering on the swimmers as they competed.
