We will not touch Not even from a million miles away Only here At three a.m. On this unknown bed And when you’re gone You will linger on In every inch that aches Between my legs And under my tongue “i love you”, you said While I was giving you head And god I believed you

Many years from now I will wonder again What it would have been like To do the dishes To walk the dog To turn off the lights To clip my nails quietly While you slept in our bed I was wondering this Too many years ago Long before they were born Those other you That came after you Those other me Tonight I am me again And you are you But this is not our bed And it never will be So as you start closing your eyes I start walking towards the door Good night, see you again In a few ages

I’ve been waiting years To say I love you I’ve been building the words For centuries Millennials, maybe But I can’t remember that far I’ve been waiting whole nights Until I realized I had to say it the way I’d say Today I ate a whole plate of pasta I loved you today It’s normal No big deal
