A Graduation that will never be forgotten

In a year filled with uncertainty, honoring the outgoing senior class was a high priority for Lexington Catholic administration. Faculty, staff, and student volunteers delivered yard signs to each senior’s home in the spring. Families sent pictures for social media posts that were put together and individually posted noting the college choices. Administration and faculty rallied together to line the parking lot with festivities as the students decorated their cars for a drive by to “Light up the Knight” on May 21 st .

The Class of 2020 finished with a spectacular day on May 30 th with a celebration in the parkinglot at Kroger Field. The beautiful ceremony was led by Bishop Stowe and LCHS Administration with over 400 showing out in decorated cars. The service was

broadcast live on Prepspin and through the radio. The University of Kentucky assisted with production, and students and faculty delivered speeches. As the families were safely apart from each other, one-by-one, seniors stood up in their vehicles as the school called theirname. Together, they moved their tassels in recognition of their commencement. Families exited by driving up to the stage, and the graduate then got out of their car and walked across the stage and had their picture taken.

It was a graduation that will always be theirs and one that will not soon be forgotten. Congratulations for all the accomplishments of the Class of 2020. We have confidence in your ability to positively impact the world in which we live.
