Chess 24
Beginner: Chess is a fun and strategic game that can improve decision-making, strategic thinking, analytical skills, and more. Learn the names of pieces, how they move, basic tactics, openings, checkmates, and endgames. Classes include 3040 minutes of instruction with 20-30 minutes of supervised play.
Age Session
6-12
Intermediate/Advanced: Those who already know how to move pieces can participate in this session. You will learn intermediate to advanced tactics, strategies, learn about openings, middle games, and endgames. We will focus on how to play in tournaments.
Week-Long Course: For Beginner and Intermediates. Focus is on the introduction of pieces and movements, basic tactics, and strategies. We also have fun playing peer-to-peer games. Taught by Prathiba Yuvarajan an International Master (USCF 2266) and the Director of Massachusetts Chess.

Where
Community Our program will focus on exploring art through 6-10 Mon-Fri 7/18-7/22 9am-3pm Center Room 237 different mediums. Watercolor, collage, vision boards, and tissue art are just some of the different ways we will express our creativity. This week’s themes are foil painting and splatter painting, and each student will be asked to make at least one artwork using each theme! Fun art lessons and history will be taught during class.
