We need to be clothed with humility like Christ, it is the key to revival for our nation. As believers who hunger for His presence and power, humility must be a priority. This month of April we celebrate our Saviour and His meekness and majesty.
Many people believe we are entitled and that we inherently deserve privileges or special treatments, or that we have the right to something. The way up in the Kingdom of God is the way down.
“We see Jesus, who was made lower than the angels for a little while, now crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered”
- Hebrews 2:9-10 -

Peter calls all of us to be clothed with humility in 1 Peter 5:5. Jesus humbled himself under the mighty hand of God and God highly exalted Him above every name.
When Jesus washed his disciples’ feet, He set an example for us. It also took some humility for Peter to allow himself to be served by Jesus. Peter teaches us as Christians to put on the royal robe of humility, because God resists the arrogant and gives grace to the humble. Humility comes before honour.
It often happens that the grace of God is received but squandered, by being proud and entitled. Without faith and humility, we present a powerless and a self-centred gospel. In humility we put God’s interests first. The message of the cross is received with hope and joy when it is presented by humble and devoted people.

We are servants of the most high God and long to be used for His purposes.
Let us humble ourselves under His mighty hand. We will then see miracles and His grace at work.
