A time of love and fruitfulness
In Isaiah 5:1 it says, “I will sing for the one I love, a song about His vineyard; my loved one had a vineyard on a fertile hillside, he dug it up and cleared it of stones and planted it with the choicest vines.”
God presents Himself to Israel as the owner of a vineyard. This vineyard is very precious to Him. He plants it on a fertile hill, and He tends it with great care. He makes sure that He clears the ground of all rubble before He plants the vines. The vineyard is not just any vineyard, it belongs to Him.
