The five skills taught in this class are fundamental to putting a healthy and taste-bud tingling dinner on the table any night of the week with minimal effort.
Each class in the series is a standalone unit. Participants can earn a “Certified Home Cook” certificate with participation in all six of the classes in the series.

Health Begins With What You Eat
Research has proven that health begins with what you eat.
My mission is to equip workers with the skills and knowledge they need to answer well the most important question of every day, “What’s for dinner?”.
I empower people to be FEARLESS in the kitchen by teaching the basic cooking skills everyone needs to put a tasty delicious meal on the table, especially on a weeknight.
My cooking classes are fun and interactive. Participants are encouraged to ask questions and make comments. And they learn a ton.
Class content is focused on four key areas:
• cooking skill
• health benefits of cooking fresh food at home
• money-saving benefits of eating a home-cooked meal
• importance of spending time at the table to build strong relationships.

Virtual and in-person with Chef Sandra Lewis. Before she went to culinary school, Chef Sandra invested 20+ years in a corporate career as a single, working mom. When her girls were in college she sold her house, put everything in storage and went to culinary school. Today her passion is to teach people to share the joys of sharing the table by making short work of preparing delicious and healthy food.

All of our recipes feature from scratch cooking featuring fresh fruits and vegetables and are designed for minimum fuss and maximum flavor on a weeknight.
Don’t let any of the “fancy” titles fool you. ALL of these recipes are easy to do on a weeknight.
Our recipe selection is vast and we always offer suggestions for substitutions to accommodate food allergies, personal preferences, etc.
If you don’t see what you’re looking for, ring us. We add new recipes weekly. Each session is 45 minutes to an hour.
All of these yummy dishes are easily prepared on a weeknight.
And each recipe can be adjusted to suit your group’s preferences, e.g., substitute chicken for salmon, etc.

AboutCHEF SANDRA. FOUNDER AND OWNER.
Chef Sandra Lewis is an entertaining and deliciously inspiring chef and speaker, classically-trained in French cuisine.
Before enrolling in culinary school, she raised two daughters as a single working mom with a corporate job for 20+ years. Life at the table was the rhythm of life as she and her daughters gathered nightly at the home table and shared a home-cooked meal.
When her daughters entered college, Chef Sandra sold her house put everything in storage and enrolled in culinary school.
She founded Life At The Table in 2007 to inspire, educate, and skill people to spend more time at the home table and less time in the kitchen.
Today Life At The Table delivers fun culinary team building events, cooking classes, and health and wellness programs.
Chef Sandra is host of a weekly podcast, A Savory Moment, on Spotify and iTunes, is an Adjunct Culinary Instructor for Dallas College.
Chef Sandra earned her BS in Mass Communications, Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Utah, and earned an AAS with Honors in Culinary Arts from Le Cordon Bleu Dallas.
