Graham & Brown
Graham & Brown are always looking to lead the trends, and have launched their trends for 2021 with a stunning story around the colour Epoch- a rich, velvety, amethyst colour – in that cross over range of colour between purple and red. An uplifting, yet calming colour, full of pigment, perfect for living rooms, home offices and even your bedroom.
Here in the office, we watched their on-line launch with interest and were delighted to hear Paula Taylor, their Colour & Trend Specialist give her tips for 2021.
For them 2021 will be a celebration of their 75 years in wallpaper design and they are starting the celebration with this new wallpaper design too: Timepiece in three colourway, Amethyst, Midnight and Moonstone.
Timepiece in amethyst is their wallpaper pattern of the year for 2021 and is a clever combination of geometric and floral patterns, drawing on archive elements from the past 75 years to create an intricate all over effect. You can use this wallpaper either as the starting point of your room’s décor or a way of tying things together for a more edited look. Paula recommended that you use the Amethyst colourway of Timepiece with their Epoch and Spiced Mulberry paints, for a coordinated look or you took the individual colours in the piece and contrasted your colours perhaps using their teal, Whale Tail and the soft pink, taupe shade Fondue.

“Design innovation has always been the driving force and the heartbeat of Graham & Brown throughout the years. The studio team love to delve into the pattern and print archives and discover hidden treasure that we can then reimagine with modern production techniques and new colour compositions, presenting a twist on the latest interior trends. A great deal of craftsmanship goes into the making of each archive artwork and we believe that is something to be cherished and celebrated, to be able to breathe new life into this material and let it have a new place within our history is something we love to do.” Maryanne Cartwright, Design Studio Manager at Graham & Brown
We also really liked their new fantastical Magpie design, a one off colourway with jungle like leaves, nasturtium flowers and cheeky magpies, again in rich, deep colours. So along with new jungle designs and a fun, houndstooth check pattern and other patterns – a rich new collection of ideas for you, to brighten your walls in 2021!
All these Graham & Brown wallpapers and more are featured on wallpaperdirect and the paints are available from Designerpaint.com.
