The Art of Tranquillity
presents Kasuri, a wallpaper collection that embraces the tranquillity of Japanese interiors.
This collection is infused with a deep sense of renewal. Warm tones, rustic textures, and age-old techniques inspire Kasuri as it unfolds in layers of transitional style and the art of Japanese living, ingrained with the essence of Harlequin.
Art meets nature in every brush mark and stitch. Wood grain wallpapers pair with intriguing, printed designs. Mixing digital printing with traditional techniques creates beautiful effects. All-over embosses reference papyrus papers for textural finishes, while metallic sheens add lustre and elevation to schemes.
Miscanthus is a beautiful panel mural wallpaper design hand-painted with the finest attention to detail. An ombre ground sets the scene for the gentle Miscanthus, as wispy foliage sways in a breeze. Colourways include Buttermilk & Sky, Parchment & Frost, and Sky & Celestial.
In a new design inspired by a Japanese warp print kimono in the Harlequin archive, Kimono has been translated onto wallpaper. With the feeling of fabric on the wall, Kimono’s scale is perfectly suited to its widewidth format.

Introducing The Purnon Papers: five wallpapers uncovered at Château de Purnon and brought to life by Farrow & Ball.
Five captivating new patterns ranging from dainty florals to ornate damasks. The designs are a Farrow & Ball interpretation of original patterns discovered when new owners decided to renovate the historic Château de Purnon and give it the attention it deserves. In homage to this inspiration, the patterns are named after those who lived, and revelled, at the French château in its heyday.
Walls: Achard Woodwork: Stiffkey Blue, Dead Flat®
The artistic eye behind the collection is Farrow & Ball
Creative Director, Charlotte Cosby: ‘When I first saw the original patterns, I was just blown away. They’re so beautiful and intricate that it’s astonishing to think they’d be tucked away and forgotten for all those years. It was like discovering a treasure trove that I couldn’t wait to share with the world.
‘We revised elements of the patterns like colour and scale, to make them feel as relevant to contemporary spaces today, as they were to the château a hundred years ago. From hotels to house boats, cafés to cottages, The Purnon Papers will always feel perfectly at home.’
The traditional methods used by Farrow & Ball create the same texture, depth and feel of the original papers. Depending on the pattern, the new wallpapers are made using roller block or flatbed printing and real Farrow & Ball paint. Both these age-old methods take months to master and create a truly unrivalled look that adds a special touch to every space.
Walls: Baracé, Card Room Green, Dead Flat® Woodwork: School House White, Dead Flat®
Perhaps the most striking pattern in the collection is Purnon, named after the château itself. Featuring an elaborate design with classical elements that symbolize peace, abundance and prosperity, this paper is sure to make a statement. In contrast, the unique Adelaïde is a floral pattern with a far more abstract feel. Bigger and bolder than the original inspiration, it still has a delicate charm. It also happens to be Charlotte’s favourite:
‘I absolutely love Adelaïde because when we first found the pattern, it was very traditional. We’ve since reimagined it into a bigger, bolder scale and it’s become beautifully contemporary. The transformation has been almost magical.’

Wallpaper which honours the Arts & Crafts movement with exquisite designs like Birds and Cherries. Originally created by a student of the School of Practical Art and acquired by GP & J Baker in 1897, this pattern depicts espalier cherry trees intertwined with lively great tits. It beautifully captures the romantic spirit of the Arts & Crafts era, adding timeless charm to any interior.
And, for a softer touch, Ruskin offers a woodland escape, blending flora and fauna into a tonal print that brings the serenity of the countryside indoors – shown here in the Emerald green colourway.

William W. Turner, from 1910 often hailed as one of “The Turner Birds.” This wonderful pattern, inspired by flowing trails of fauna, flora, and regal birds and was initially printed on linen using a staggering 81 handcarved blocks and has been stunningly translated into a contemporary wallpaper.

introduce ‘Storybook Papers’ their fifth collection of wallpapers created in partnership with the National Trust.
The collection has been inspired by a broad range of historic artefacts and original artworks, found in cherished houses from Somerset to Cumbria conserved and cared for by the National Trust. It also directly references a fabric print and several original artworks, including some by Beatrix Potter, the beloved children’s author who left 4000 acres of land and 15 farms to the National Trust when she died in 1943.
A light-hearted adventure into childhoods past

The dogs in this design are Beatrix Potter’s doodled portraits of her beloved working collies, Nip and Lassie. Beatrix was known for her dedication to farming, and in particular her award-winning stock of Herdwick sheep which also feature in the design. The breed is synonymous with the Lake District and Potter’s beloved rural cottage, Hill Top, where she famously settled and fervently pursued her creative and business endeavours.
At Wallpaperdirect, we were thrilled to learn about the latest addition to Little Greene’s successful collaboration with the National Trust archive. However, when we saw these stunning designs, we were truly captivated—they’re perfect not only for children but for everyone to enjoy.

Ruth Mottershead, Creative Director at Little Greene, says:
“Collaborating with the National Trust is always an honour. Exploring historic houses, uncovering inspiring patterns, and reinterpreting them in fresh colourways allows us to extend their legacy into contemporary homes. The ‘Storybook Papers’ collection transforms charming historical artefacts—such as toys, children’s illustrations, and fabrics—into playful, whimsical wallpapers. While
deeply rooted in childhood, these designs are versatile, bringing colour and joy not only to children’s rooms and nurseries but also to breakfast rooms, hallways, boot rooms, bathrooms, and dining spaces.”
We feel these designs, Rodney Street and Road Trip work well on their own or perhaps together with the Broad Stripe, to make a stunning feature in a small room or hallway – emphasising an area or highlighting a stunning view.

Celebrating 25 Years of Thoughtful Design: Arthouse’s Journey
While global catwalks and design capitals spark trends, Arthouse’s design studio brings them to life. Their talented in-house team translates contemporary influences into home décor that resonates with real spaces, blending creativity with craftsmanship.
“We start by observing the broader homeware world,” explains the design team. “But it’s not about blindly following trends – it’s about adapting them for real

This milestone year sees the brand expanding into home décor, debuting complementary collections of wallpapers, rugs, and accessories. Despite changing trends, Arthouse’s adaptability and quality have fostered a loyal, multi-generational customer base.

Creating the Bloom Collection became a labour of love. They carefully selected each artwork, considering how it would translate to different spaces and interior styles. Some illustrations called for dramatic scaling to create bold, statement walls while others worked perfectly as delicate, repeated patterns. Buy all of these
When Esselle Home saw the opportunity to collaborate with the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and bring their historical collection of hand-drawn botanical drawings to life, they jumped at the chance.
The RHS Lindley Collections house over 25,000 botanical artworks, some dating back to the 1600s, and they knew these treasures could transform modern homes in many ways.
The design team spent months exploring the archives, discovering intricate illustrations by artists and plant hunters who had travelled the world documenting species. Within these pages, they found extraordinary details - from the delicate veining of leaves to the subtle shading of petals. These weren’t just drawings – they were pieces of history waiting to be reimagined.
Each design carries its own story, from 17th-century plant discoveries to Victorian botanical studies. When you
choose one of these wallpapers, you’re not just decorating your walls – you’re becoming part of a centuries-old narrative of botanical art and scientific discovery.
The Bloom Collection represents everything Esselle Home believe in – beautiful design, rich heritage, and the power of home décor to transform our living spaces. Through the collaboration with the RHS, they are proud to bring these botanical masterpieces into your home, creating interiors that are both historically significant and beautifully modern.

Brand McKenzie’s Wild Life collection sets the tone for bold, narrative-driven wallpaper design.
Embracing rich creativity and imaginative storytelling like never before, the Wild Life collection by Brand McKenzie offers a captivating blend of artistry, whimsy and sophistication.
Narrative design in wallpaper
Wallpapers that tell fascinating stories are taking centre stage in 2025, inviting viewers into immersive worlds where a narrative unfolds in each design. Celebrate the art of storytelling through vibrant illustrations and rich details, turning walls into windows to imaginative realms.
Brand McKenzie’s Octopus wallpaper exemplifies this narrative approach, taking you beneath the waves into an underwater world brimming with life. Yet, this is no ordinary marine scene – at the heart of this design, the octopus reigns supreme, sporting a quirky sailor hat and puffing on a pipe, injecting delightful character into this underwater tableau.
Catwalk offers an entirely different kind of storytelling. Drawing inspiration from the world of fashion illustration, it is a vibrant tableau that captures a stylish parade of fashionable animals elegantly strutting through the enchanting streets of Paris. Each creature is dressed to impress in fabulous footwear and accessorised with chic touches like neck scarves, hats, and sunglasses.

Coordonné’s new Pompei collection draws inspiration from the enduring allure of Pompeii, frozen in time by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
The collection evokes the timeless elegance of this ancient civilization through designs that reimagine its cultural and artistic heritage for today’s interiors.
Highlights include the Maiorum masks with exotic snake-like hairstyles, intricate Mosaicum tiles symbolizing noble status, and scenic landscapes of cypresses, orchards, and classical columns (Thermae, Frutteto, and Columnarum). These designs celebrate Pompeii’s legacy of refined living, inviting us to rediscover its artistry and enduring harmony.

Paying homage to Spanish charm
Coordonné, through their Tres Tintas brand, has introduced collections with a bold and edgy style, designed for clients who embrace the avant-garde. Their collections use striking colours, unique scales, and unconventional patterns to create a fresh and daring aesthetic that challenges traditional wallpaper norms.
The three latest collections—L’Enfant Terrible, Playful Layers, and New Primitivism—celebrate Spanish culture with vibrant and innovative designs.
Adding beauty to the everyday
Oscar Wilde and fellow art enthusiasts like William Morris were staunch advocates for beauty and good taste in the 19th century, championing the Arts and Crafts Movement.
Wilde’s radical approach in ‘Art and the Handicraftsman’ asserts that life offers only two choices: beauty or ugliness.
Inspired by this philosophy, Coordonné has spent 46 years as a family business dedicated to enhancing everyday life through the guiding principle of creating beauty. Just as nature, which inspired Barcelona’s great artists like Gaudí, offers accidental beauty, they believe human creativity must strive for harmony through thoughtful design. Technology has allowed them to expand their colour palettes and refine their creations, yet hand-drawn sketches remain essential to capture each artist’s unique vision.
They say ‘Our mural wallpapers bring beauty in large format, making art accessible to all. At Coordonné, passion for craftsmanship drives us to care for every element of our work, embodying the idea that love for the craft is essential to creating something truly beautiful.’

1838 Wallcoverings announces the launch of its third collection with the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum, London).
Once again working closely with the museum’s licensing team to select items from the V&A’s archives, the collection features a range of influences that date as far back as the 1700s, each with its own intriguing narrative to tell. Inspired by rich, decorative carpets, silk, cotton and chintz fabrics, hand painted original wallpapers from China, and a silk kimono, each of these original references has been carefully and sympathetically adapted by 1838 Wallcoverings to create new wallpaper designs in enduring contemporary colourways, which are relevant for the interiors of today.
1838 Wallcoverings’ MD James Watson says of the collection ‘The vast V&A archive continues to be a brilliant source of rich inspiration for patterns, details and colours, which we feel very privileged to use, and we are delighted to bring this third instalment of designs together as a cohesive collection. As a family brand with over four generations of wallpaper printing in our history, we feel a natural affinity with these archive designs as many 1838 wallpapers are printed today using century-old surface print machines. A technique which allows us to create a beautiful hand-painted effect that allows for a very natural interpretation of these designs.’
So, hand in hand with 1838 Wallcoverings we are delighted to venture again into the V&A’s archive for this third collection of wallpapers.
Stratus – a wonderfully contemporary interpretation of a captivating silk pattern by JD Cornuaud from the 1860s. It shows gently view of moving clouds drifting across a sky, or perhaps simple random rows of corals.
Palmette – originally created as a carpet design by George W Kingman in about 1870 – the design features vibrant tropical and lush greenery creating a wonderfully dynamic wallpaper pattern for lovers of the maximalism style.

“we are delighted to bring this third instalment of designs together as a cohesive collection”
Peony Garden – gives us a wonderful 1920s and 30s style interpretation of a ‘country house’ fabric design for the walls. The two-colour print effect keeps the intricate pattern fresh and useable in modern interiors.
Charlotte – a late 19th century floral wallpaper design by Charlotte Horne Spiers has been redrawn and layered to be create a charming, delicate watercolour look in this digital print.
The opposite pages shows the elegant Wisteria Bloom mural, which is inspired by an embroidered silk kimono made in Japan around the end of the 19th century – owned and worn by the eclectic and wealthy New York socialite Emilie Grigsby.

Gone are the days of cliché beach decor. The New Nautical style leaves behind the predictable, instead embracing a palette and design style that evokes the essence of coastal living, without sacrificing refinement. This is an aesthetic that is both relaxed and polished, a testament to the versatility and enduring appeal of maritime inspiration.
You have to look closely at this design from Sandberg to see that this simple spot pattern actually has delicate scallop shells, which demonstrates perfectly how the classic coastal aesthetic has been reimagined with a contemporary twist, blending the timeless charm of the sea with modern sophistication.
The New Nautical trend is all about nuance and elegance. Think clean lines, muted palettes, and natural textures that evoke the feeling of a tranquil beach without being overtly marine. This pretty palm tree motif from the Clarke & Clarke x Breegan Jane collection has an aesthetic that whispers rather than shouts – perfect whether you’re nestled in the heart of the city or living the beachside dream.
When coastal colours are reimagined, it offers a fresh interpretation for the New Nautical. We love the way the curves of these blue and green birds in this mesmerising York design captures the trend subtly and is enhanced by the simple ticking stripe blind fabric.
