Jesus Party Shiloh & Shedien Ministries was created by Craig “Shiloh” Glasgow and Shanda “Shedien” Glasgow, a husband-and-wife duo with a mission to evangelize the nation and the world. They also created THE GOD MOVEMENT which is not only about music, it’s about building up the community, increasing love in the community, and God’s universal love for all mankind. The pair’s vision is to spread the word of God to every corner of the world through their music, and to encourage believers by sharing how serving Jesus is the best decision they ever made. On Friday, they will be hosting their 1st Annual Jesus Boat Ride, which, besides being a wonderful excursion of praise and fellowship, will also bring the BVI to the attention of the wider Caribbean. The event will be covered by TMB Media Inc. and TEMPO Networks.
Lime ... “to hang around idly” or “to go out on the town.” Source: The Dictionary of Virgin Islands English Creole by the late educator and historian Lito Valls. The Limin’ Times brings you all the news about when and where to “lime” in the British Virgin Islands.
Tempo is one of the major sponsors of the event and they will be there to capture the sights and sounds, meet with the artists, speak to culture and tourism representatives, and showcase the BVI as a unique Caribbean destination. Performers for the boat ride are Shiloh & Shedien, Kendra, High Frequency Band, Dylan J, Axia Nation, Chiomzy and DJ J.D. Also making an appearance are Rev. Goddy Goddy and Verne Profitt. Tickets are all inclusive (entrance and buffet) and are $150 couple, $80 single and $20 children under 12. Boarding is at Chawell’s Boatyard at 6:30pm and departure is 7pm. Virgin Gorda’s Easter Festival is totally underrated. Why do I meet so many people on Tortola who have never been to this excellent sister island celebration? I’m not sure I’d have gone either if I wasn’t reporting on the festivities, but that was because I didn’t know what I was missing. In case you’re among the uninitiated, allow me to fill you in. First of all, there is the food. Whether you visit one of VG’s seaside dining establishments or you opt to support a roadside vendor, you’ll be treated to local flavors and almost certainly have your pick of fresh seafood. Sadly, due to a sick child and husband, I had to miss out on the food fair last weekend, but hopefully I will be able to make up for it over the course of the long Easter weekend. Easter weekend is also the annual VG Easter fishing tournament. Even if you’re not one to gather up a crew and cast your lines, watching the vessels return and get their catch weighed is an absorbing way to spend the afternoon. Plus, there is always tons of food and usually at least a DJ (if not a live band) to keep the energy up. On Easter Sunday, a small but creative crew will show off their Limin’Times Entertainment Guide

skills during the hat parade. Even if you haven’t seen this one in person, you must have seen the photos because Virgin Gordians go all out for this one. This year, the committee plans to hand out prizes for fanciest hat, biggest hat and funniest, among others, so you can bet the competition will be fierce. Then on Monday it’s the Easter Monday Parade. With so much of the island having made massive strides in post-storm recovery, the parade is sure to be a crowd pleaser. I hear you saying that you’re allergic to the sun and you want to know what’s on after sunset. VG Easter Festival has night-owls covered too: The festival village officially opens Saturday night with local favorites like Sista Joyce, Monea and OMG Band, plus dancehall artist Dexta Daps. On Sunday there’s even more action with the likes of VIBE, It’s A Secret Band and Farmer Nappy; plus Mr Killa, the artist behind one of this season’s mostloved tracks, “Run Wid It.” All this space, and I didn’t even cover everything. Check out the VG Easter Festival Facebook page for more details, and don’t miss out on the fun!

She Devil
An attractive female who is capable of manipulating men into getting their way – Urban Dictionary
Chapter 14: Close to the Finish It’s Friday night and as usual the club is packed for the weekend. The beauty of this place is not seeing the same faces every night. Sure, we have our regulars, but this is a big place with a high-end reputation. I heard them announced my name and I head out to position for my feature set. I’m feeling a bit relaxed and in a good mood so I was going to dance my heart out to Kiss It Better. I’m ready to put on a show that people will want to see again. When my song came on and the curtains raised for my entrance, I could see the house was fuller than when I was by the bar. I zoned in on one dude and I danced for him as if we were the only persons in the room. I made Papi feel really important. When the dance was over I left the stage with the cheers behind me and the floor guys picking up my cash. On my way back into the dressing room, someone pressed up on me and whispered “dDmn shorty, I didn’t know you had it like that.” That voice that gave me goose bumps could only be one man, and sure enough, when I looked up, I was staring straight into David’s eyes. I know it’s unprofessional, but I lost it and kissed my man right there. When we parted, some of the ladies hooted, and one even told me not hurt to him, causing everyone around us to laugh. In between more kisses I asked him why he didn’t tell me he was coming into town. He told me Limin’Times Entertainment Guide
he wanted to surprise me and that he’s glad he did. After a few minutes, he said he’d meet me on the floor. I put on a dress over my outfit and was heading out to my man when Da Don cornered me off and asked if that was the David I was talking about. I told him yes and offered to introduce them, but Da Don said true gentlemen don’t meet for the first time in a club like ours. I see his point, so I just hugged him goodbye and went about my business. Six months later. It’s now just one month before graduation and I took a week off from work to focus on my final assignments. These last two semesters were hell but I managed to pull through and maintain my A/B grades. These classes were by far the best thing I’ve done with my life. I can’t believe I thought I wasn’t college material! I barely made it through high school and didn’t get much guidance, but now look at me: preparing for my college graduation in December. I had hoped to finish in time for June graduation, but somehow they forgot to mention two classes I needed to take and I ended up doing them in the fall along with 2 other classes. The bright side is that now, instead of having a certificate, I’ll be walking with my associates in general studies and a concentration in business. 12

33.4 miles KPMG Tortola Torture Reflections What runners say about the grueling 33.4 miles KPMG Tortola Torture, run over Tortola’s most rugged terrain, including back to back climbs up Cane Garden Bay and Brewers Bay Hills, then have to climb Little Mountain on Beef Islands about 31 miles into the race? “I dropped out in 2016 and it’s been on my mind,” St. John TJ Hindes, said. “I’ve got this shirt at home, the shirt from 2016 from the race, sitting in the bottom of my drawer, now I can finally wear it.” Hindes, whose strength is hill climbing which he used to his advantage, covered the course in 4 hours 54 minutes and 33 seconds. “I felt good today, managed to catch up with them about mile 12-ish probably in the hills and I managed to hang on for first,” he said. “The course is tough. The last six miles are horrendous. The first 20-plus is fine, but the last six was really, really hard.” The BVI’s Julius Farley, the first local runner was second in a personal best of 4:58.02. “Well this was a tough one. I wasn’t up to it at all,” Farley said. “In the last week coming into this race, I was feeling so much pain, pain coming from all angles of my body—all over was pain. I was actually about to call Richard (Morgan, race organizer) and tell him anyone that wants someone to run a relay leg, I would join them. But, some people told me coming on the race, I might feel better. I felt a little better today.”
After the first 10 miles heading around Steel Point, Farley said he was slowed after his groin started hurting just and he had to walk all the hills he encountered. “This is a great achievement,” he said of breaking the five-hour barrier. “To go out and achieve something you set out to do is a good achievement.” St. Croix’s Allison Janusziewicz was the top woman in 6:08.54, was part of a relay last year, running the first flat 10 miles only. She decided to do the whole thing. “Man, those hills are killers and I definitely felt the name of the race, Torture,” she said. “Once I got through those hills, maybe mile 20, I was kinda fresh and ready to run some more. It was hot, but the breeze was really gorgeous.” Julaine Potgieter, celebrating her 40th birthday, was second in 6:16.43. “Finishing this in general is great,” she said. “I like the course. I might sound crazy but, I don’t run the hills I walk them, so up until Beef Island I was fine, but the last little loop on Little Mountain, that was a killer. That’s when I wanted to stop. Everything started to hurt and I cramped up. Until then, I was as happy as a Lark.” St. Croix’s Nora Zedick climbing out of Brewers Bay. “This is something else,” she said. “This hill never stops.”
