BEST BEHAVIOUR Please remember: • If you are late for a performance or workshop you will be allowed in only if there is a suitable interval - otherwise you will disturb everyone else in the hall. • No food or drink is allowed into performances or workshops it’s very distracting for those around you and can be very messy. • Make sure the performance or workshop you are attending is suitable for your age - if it’s not, you will not really enjoy it and it’s not fair to the others taking part. • Be sure to wear loose comfortable old clothes for your workshops - you’ll probably be getting into a right old mess!

THE END OF EVERYTHING EVER Agata is 6 years old, and she is going to the railway station with her father. Everyone is smiling and happy, but she has the strange feeling that she will never see him again. On the train she absent-mindedly chews on the paper name-tag tied around her neck, and slowly her name and address disappear, along with any chance of finding her family again. Based on true stories and accounts of the Kindertransport - a time when Jewish families sent their children out of Nazi-occupied Europe - award-winning internationallybased company NIE presents an unforgettable story of survival, love and hope. “ Brave… uplifting… full of humour… brilliantly performed.” The Sunday Herald “ Beautiful, touching and very, very funny.” The Jerusalem Post

There are countries where water is so plentiful that it’s a nuisance. There are also countries where there is no water at all… only stones, sand and the desert. ‘Droplets’ is a performance about water as an essential resource, to be valued and loved. This performance of sounds and few words unravels throughout a journey from the Western world to Africa where every single drop of water is a precious little friend to protect, a journey in search of enchantment and magic with a message for us all. 5

A poor woodsman’s empty stomach goes to his head - he gives in to his bony wife and Hansel and Gretel are left in the forest, not just once but twice - and the second time there won’t be any moonstones to follow back home. Instead they follow their noses to the sugary heart of darkness… a journey that takes them from a house with empty cupboards and a mother who doesn’t like children to a house made of sweets and someone who just loves children - on toast! Lyngo serve up a musical theatre treat with their own special recipe of, captivating songs and haunting imagery. “Charming … an unforgettable adventure.” Leinster Express

Billy and Jilly are on the case, ready to pit their wits against any problems the task of story-telling might throw up. But...erm... they might just need a hand. So brush up on your fables and tales, because when Billy and Jilly start telling stories, you never know what to believe! A hilarious retelling of some favourite fairytales, with a lot of help from the audience! “The innovations are many and ludicrous. Red Riding Hood’s Dad is called Neville, her Mum is a celebrity chef, there is an off-stage character called Kevin who keeps interrupting… Very funny throughout.” Gerry Colgan, Irish Times

Once upon a time, there were two children who had the same nanny: Azur, blond and blue-eyed, son of the lord of the castle, and Asmar, dark-skinned and black-eyed, the nanny’s child. Growing up as close as brothers, the two are enraptured by the nurse’s tales of a Djinn fairy awaiting the love of a good and heroic prince to release her from an enchantment. Harshly separated in their teens, the two grow up apart, but some years later Azur sets out to find the nurse and Asmar. Finally reunited, Azur and Asmar become rivals to rescue the Djinn’s fairy in a medieval Maghreb, full of dangers, magic spells and wonders. “A… magical, awe-inspiring tale.” Anton Bitel, Eye for Film 12
