If You Build It... My father had the heart of a consumer. He had the brain of a brilliant businessman. He was a dreamer who never did not work, even when he played. I was always suspicious that he slept with his eyes open, just in case he might have an idea--or someone needed him. A little girl, I had to skip to keep pace with him when we took a walk together “around the oval” where we lived in lower Manhattan. At least once, he would point out a “For Lease” sign in some vacant store window. I would welcome the chance to catch my breath. “ Judel”, he’d sigh, “that sign holds the promise and despair of a dreamer’s life.” What is at the heart of a business that opens--and, remains open? One that becomes a magnet for buyers and their friends and makes them want to open your door and leave and return, again and again? One that weathers storms and stays through seasons of life? Let’s find out, together, what makes a business bud, blossom, and bloom--year after year. “Treat your customer as you would a fragile find.”--ljg With luck, they come...and, you stay. Pay with Barter Dollars No Cash ~ No Problem
Even if your business does not have a cash flow problem, why use cash when you don’t have to? Use that empty table in your restaurant or empty chair in your dentist office as an alternative currency (instead of cash). If your business is not running at full capacity or you have product on the shelf that hasn’t been moving, you have excess inventory. Your downtime can be used to increase your business. Many business owners look for creative ways to market themselves because they do not have enough cash to launch an optimum
marketing campaign. Sure they may have enough to cover the local paper, but what about the direct mailers, magazines or radio advertising? Never mind hiring a social media manager or search engine optimers. Our members have been able to increase their profits, by reducing cash expenditures on advertising, professional services and in some cases even the products that they sell. All by using the trade dollars earned through EBarterNation.
Unpredicted Cash
One of my members developed a skin care line. Because production was done in such large quantity she was product rich, but cash poor. She did not have a budget for marketing or an ecommerce site. EBarterNation was not only able to market her product locally on trade, but in other trade markets across the states. Utah, Florida, Pittsburg to name a few. The only reason these sales happened thousands of miles away was because she accepted trade dollars. That product could have sat in storage for a very long time, but instead she made unpredicted sales. The trade revenue she earned from those sales was used to purchase an ecommerce site, which now processes sales through credit cards. A prime example of how trade can generate cash.

Spend 50 cents on a dollar‌ Cash may be their first preference, but why pass up revenue even if it is non-traditional? All businesses have certain costs to keep their doors open what is your cost in servicing an extra customer? It may be 30% (the cost of food) for the restaurant. If that restaurant spends $100 earned trade dollars for an ad the true cost of that ad would be $30.00. If the cost of servicing that extra customer is 50% or less than you should consider, it would be like paying 50 cents on a dollar.

Services & Products
Business agreeing to sell their products and services in exchange for Trade Dollars, instead of cash to handle their transactions. For example, if a barter exchange member sells $500 worth of products to another member, they receive $500 in Trade Dollars credited to their barter exchange account. These Trade Dollars can then be used to purchase from the other trading clients within the barter network. The barter exchange is a third-party record keeper, providing monthly statements, showing all barter purchases, sales and trade barter balance.
