Love & You By Ruth
We all know the origin of Valentine’s Day, right? Well, we also all know that Valentine’s Day has become a very commercialized day about showing people that you love them. Love is precious and something that should be expressed every day, starting with yourself. For some people, the first step to loving themselves starts by being able to look at themselves in the mirror. You may be physically healthy and unable to look at yourself in the mirror – please reach out for help, you deserve love - or you may be suffering from a genetic disorder (like a cleft lip). This is not a piece about mental health. There’re hormones that cause people’s bodies to do things that aren’t always what you want. Some genes cause you to grow hair everywhere (some people are able to make a living as bearded ladies or wolf people in the dying art of sideshow) – not something that everyone embraces (including the person being affected). The good news is, science has reached a point where you can change the things that make life harder for you because of genetics – everything from hormone treatments and laser hair removal, to breast augmentation, to breast reduction, to mastectomies, to nose jobs, to natural skin tattoos to, well, the list of what’s possible is quite long, to be honest. If you have something you want done, talk to a doctor to see what’s right for you. Everyone’s body is different. What’s right for a friend isn’t necessarily what’s right for you & medical decisions are not something that should be undertaken lightly. When deciding or altering your body, you should do what is best for you - not for society or so and so (man is there always a so and so somewhere).
Let’s say that you decided to see a doctor – a plastic surgeon, for example. What do you do? You call and schedule an appointment (just one? You can see different ones). What you discuss at your appointment is very important. You need to vocalize what you want and be honest about why you want it. Next discuss what it would entail (procedure details, recovery time, possible side effects) and find out if you’re a candidate for the surgery you’re discussing. There are many reasons that you might not be a candidate (genetics, limited mobility, etc.), then again, you might be a perfect candidate. If you’ve had surgery and would like to get something touched up, taken out, or reversed, you’ll first need to choose a doctor (or several) and have a consultation. Be sure to address any discomfort you’ve had, rashes you may have developed, and everything else that is related to what you have had done. Everything you share with a doctor helps them to help you. Altering your body is up to you. Be sure that you are as informed as possible. You are your best advocate. Surgery is not for everyone.

HOSS INTERNATIONAL by Ruth
Hoss has a new vintage warehouse he’s turned into a & retail store workshop. Commercial racks were torn down (6 tons of metal, thereabout) and the floor that is 70+ years old and is vintage wood has been cleaned – a lot of work, I know - but Hoss is nothing if he isn’t a visionary. He recently moved to a new location that he is turning into a masterpiece. Centrally located in DTLA on Maple Ave between Olympic Blvd and 11th st, Hoss is easily accessible to everyone. Hoss is so accessible that he once designed a store for a businesswoman who fell in love with his designs – in the city of Qatar! He Flew out, designed the store, and to this day, she carries only his line. Hoss makes his own designs, always aiming to be different. He has also helped to design the packaging for the fragrances he carries – he works with a French company - and approves all of the scents himself. A new addition to Hoss’s designs is a lock and key set that can be worn as a necklace or used on a chastity belt. The locks all have different locks – so each needs it’s own key (they are quite heavy duty). Hoss stocks everything from wedding dresses to BDSM gear. If you’re into fashion, Hoss has something for you. Every day wear, fetish, goth, panties, lingerie, leather goods – it’s all here - it’s like Disneyland for Adults. Hoss is also a partner (co-owner) of the Altitude show – the largest lingerie show in North America. APRIL 8-10, 2019 Paris Las Vegas Hotel & Casino 3655 S. Las Vegas Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89109 To find out more about Altitude, check out: www.altitudeshow.com 5
On the off chance that Hoss doesn’t have what you are looking for, you can commission whatever you have in mind. Hoss is wonderful that way!
Professional Doms, a beautiful play area with a show that goes until 5am, & music that makes your clothing vibrate – intrigued? You should be. I’m describing Soft Leather, an alternative club that’s not limited to one secret location. Yes, I did say secret location. “[Y]ou MUST rsvp on www.softleatherclub.com to receive an invitation with the address to any private warehouse events. If you bought a ticket[,] you STILL have to RSVP via www.softleatherclub.com the address WILL NEVER be posted publicly and anyone who posts it publicly will be banned from future events.” ~ Soft Leather
It’s a lovely time. You can go by yourself, with a friend, or with a group. You can dance the night away in a dark room with light falling upon you whimsically - when it feels like doing so and only briefly when it does – while your body vibrates from the music that pumps like the lifeblood flowing in your veins. Of course, you can also simply stand behind the ropes and watch the red lit show - all night, if you so choose to do so. You can step outside to socialize. You’re not there to socialize, you’re there for the experience – an experience unlike any other. To quote a friend “ I didn’t know something like that existed. It was awesome.”
Love is an Elder God By Doug X
Love is Dagon rising from the ocean depths and flooding the land with the waters of affection and tears til nothing remains of a once proud civilization love is Cthulhu calling in a language that speaks to the most primitive parts of us knowing only possession and need and nothing of moderation only desire and gratification til exhaustion and the inability to move leads to a temporary cessation of touch Love is a place where the normal rules of space need not apply where in her arms you feel a thousand miles away separated by interdimensional membranes of mixed messages and resentment or paradoxically the distance between San Francisco and Seattle so miniscule that your two hearts touch
Love Dark Pop and up for a trip to Germany? If so, great news! BlutEngel, the electro music duo of Chris Pohl Ulrike Goldmann are going on tour this month! Stock Market: Intro By Donnie Rex
Getting into stocks is like quitting your smoking habit cold turkey – you make a decision, you stick to it, and you make it a habit. There’s several ways to invest your money, today we’ll focus on two: long and short term investments. I once invested in irobot, a company I believed in. My investment was short term. I bought stocks when it was about $69 dollars and pulled (sold) when it was 109$ the company later tanked (long after I had sold). I once bought into a company that is now worth twice what I bought it for. Today, this company that will remain unnamed, is a sure investment - back then (9+), well, back then it was a risk. A company is worth investing in when they are sure to make you money when they have a good product and when they do good things Short term investments can be 3-5 months where long term investment takes the minimum of a year. Whichever you decide to do, you’ll need to do a background check on the company you are considering investing in. Doing your research allows you to view the history of a company and allows you to see if any bad news is floating over head - this affects the market ( be it good or bad news). What you want to see, is a good balance sheet. Of course, I’ve gotten ahead of myself, before you can background check a company that you want to invest in, you have to know if the company has public stock available for sale. Not all companies have public stock available for sale. After narrowing down the company you want to invest in, you need to look at the last three to twelve months of the highs and lows. Preferably, you invest when the stock trend dips and is low (a bad day) and sell after you’ve made a profit. You know you’ve made a profit when the value of the stock you purchased has exceeded the value that you purchased the stock for. Profit to loss statements are important to look at because they allow you to have an idea of what the following months are going to look like. Base on the information you collect (and margin for error) you are now ready to choose how to invest in stock!

Money Stuff By Ruth
So, we know that not everyone makes the same amount of money, so how can we all get on the same page? Well, though we all save differently, there’s a way to save money similarly. If you’ve ever put money away for a new pair of shoes or a new bra or juice (that’s not code for anything), then you know that saving can be done. Out of sight, out of mind, but here’s the thing, we need a visual reminder, sometimes. If you’re making a ton of money, you’ll likely not want to keep it at home, right? You could just picture a house guest stumbling over a mattress like Lucile Ball on “The Lucy Show” in the episode “Lucy and the Great Bank Robbery,” jumping to conclusions! You could invest 5% of your paycheck (whatever the amount it is that you make) and make your money work for you. Now, the thing is, this isn’t just a once a year thing, it’s an every paycheck thing. It’s going to take time, on your part, too make sure that your money isn’t evaporating, but you’ll see great results in only a year.

Pre Planning by Ruth Pre planning is something we all do as adults. We plan to go to the store. We plan to pay the utility bills, car insurance, & rent. We plan to hang out with friends, watch an upcoming film, and go to work. It’s natural. Just like you plan how you live, you can plan how your passing is handled. There are 68 questions that need to be answered on the day of your passing. You can leave answers and solutions, ahead of time. Funeral Pre Planning allows for your remains to be picked up, prepared, and placed where you would like them to be placed. Would you like to be turned into a diamond? Would you like a full body sea submersion? Would you like to be shot into space? Would you like to be shipped to another state – to your family? Would you like your body to be transported to your country of origin? Would you like your ashes to be split for 16 people? Would you like to be buried in a family mausoleum? Have you thought about it? Deciding what you would like is the first step in pre planning. Paperwork is the second. If you’re in the continental United States, you can contact me and I’ll get you in touch with someone in your state who can help you, if you are not in California. If you’re in California, I can help you. I can travel to you or we can video call. If you decide to proceed with finalizing arrangements and you’re not near me, I can email or fax the paperwork over for you to sign. The younger and in better health you are, the better shape you’ll be in, but if you’re in poor health or a bit older, I can still help you pre plan. This is not life insurance. There are different payment options, including a lump sum payment & monthly installments over 3, 5, or 10 years – whatever works best for you. As I work with family owned and operated funeral homes, you’ll be able to save money on cost.* Please note that holding the price at today’s standard is only available if you finalize arrangements. Funeral Cost doubles every 7 – 10 years. I go over everything with you and answer all of your questions. Having done at need funeral care (helping distraught families make arrangements immediately after losing a loved one), I have seen the benefits of having everything set up ahead of time first hand. Some benefits of finalizing funeral arrangements include: • Having a funeral home already picked out. • Having all the paperwork pre-signed (so there is no hold up on being able to legally pick you up). • Having your family not to worry about a lump sum payment. • Allowing your family time to grieve without worrying about making decisions.
