TIM KLIPHUIS TRIO GOES GRAPPELLI

PUBLICK TRANSPORT WE ARE BRONTË

This award-winning Dutch jazz violinist is seen by many as the inheritor of jazz violin legend Stéphane Grappelli's crown. Here, his trio, now in their 10th year, bring their compelling interplay to Grappelli's highenergy gypsy swing and jazzed-up classical tunes.

Deadpan comic visual theatre at its most superb, and its most silly. A glorious mash-up of slapstick clowning and surreal improvisation, this is an irreverent and uniquely captivating exploration of the real and imaginary worlds of Yorkshire's famous literary siblings and of the nature of theatre itself. Intelligent, offbeat, supremely entertaining: a gothic delight from start to end.

A glorious patchwork story-quilt forms the colourful backdrop to the play, each fragment of fabric a remembered life, some truly affecting and powerful.
