Here, Kathryn's powerful voice is matched against Sean's driving guitar on a set of impressive modern folk songs and heartfelt traditional numbers, switching from thoughtful ballads to stomping acoustic rock. Impressive and entertaining. ★★★★ The Telegraph

RED EARTH THEATRE MIRROR MIRROR
THE CARRIVICK SISTERS IN CONCERT
A special company with a stellar reputation for touring deaf inclusive work for small children, Red Earth here brings real joie de vivre to a gloriously mischievous new version of the age-old tale of Snow White. Played with enormous energy, great good humour and loads of visual flair, and with the clever use of inventive props, puppets, costumes and choreography, this delightful show sparks the imagination of adults and children alike.
BBC Radio 2 Young Folk Award finalists 2010.
‘Stunning… this unique take on a classic will keep children compelled.’
'Superb' (BBC Radio 2) uptempo pickin' and fiddlin' from the hugely talented Devonian twins Laura and Charlotte Carrivick, one of the UK's top young American bluegrass and old-time music acts. With swapped lead vocals, tight sibling harmonies, multi-instrumental virtuosity (fiddle, banjo, mandolin, guitar and dobro) and finely crafted songs, this is a 'simply breathtaking' (Americana UK) slab of good-time listening.

THE FB POCKET ORCHESTRA IN CONCERT A richly enjoyable night of hot jazz, blues, ragtime and popular dances that hint at jazz age 1920s and swing era 1930s; New Orleans, tea dances, Paris Cafés, and sophisticated, smoky nightclubs. Three superbly talented musicians splice quality crooning, a bewildering variety of instruments, a delightful period charm, and a flirtatious twinkle in the eye (on the more risqué material) into a laid-back acoustic treat.

BGROUP DANCE POINT OF ECHOES
THE GRAHAMS IN CONCERT
One of the most spirited Jewish klezmer dance and eastern European gypsy folkjazz bands around, this remarkable six-piece has quickly consolidated its rising star status with a series of unforgettable festival gigs. Joyous, infectious, distinctive and proof positive that you don't need to travel to hear great global music.
Hovering at the boundary between dance and theatre, Point of Echoes blends the whimsical tones of a Wes Anderson movie with the uncanny dread of The Twilight Zone. This affecting nautical tale explores how the relationship between two keepers at an isolated lighthouse runs aground when a mysterious figure enters their lives. Renowned international choreographer Ben Wright creates the first commission for the Rural Touring Dance Initiative, an intimate new dance-theatre work for community halls.
This dynamic Nashville-based husband and wife Americana duo surely 'rattle the hocks', crafting real emotive, shiver-upthe-spine-inducing songs – drawn from their hard travelling expeditions along the Mississippi's Great River Road and riding the old American railroad. Passionate, joyful, harmonious and captivating.

GREENMATTHEWS THE WIND IN THE WILLOWS: A FOLK OPERA Kenneth Grahame's well-loved and timeless tale is brought to vibrant life exclusively through song, with evocative new lyrics set to traditional English folk melodies. A show of real charm and wistful nostalgia, Chris Green, Sophie Matthews and special guests Vicki Swan and Jonny Dyer, vividly chronicle the adventures of Mole, Ratty, Badger and Toad across the river and in to the dark and dangerous Wild Wood. The perfect antidote to winter – summery, vivacious, sparkling and full of life.
NEW PERSPECTIVES FINDING NANA This magical autobiographical one-woman show – from award winning writer Jane Upton – charts halcyon childhood summers in a seaside hotel, the unconditional love between a granddaughter and her Nana, and the desperate need to capture memories before they are lost. Flitting between the past and present, childhood and old age, this is a brave and inspirational tale of love and loss to make you smile and make you sad. Just brilliant.

BADAPPLE THEATRE AMY JOHNSON With brilliant storytelling – funny, poignant and compelling – this is an enthralling portrait of Hull's 'First Lady of the Air', Amy Johnson, one of the world's most famous aviators who in 1930 became the first woman to fly solo between Britain and Australia. MINIMA: SILENT FILM & LIVE MUSIC NOSFERATU: A SYMPHONY OF HORROR (1922) (PG) A marriage made in heaven (or perhaps hell): one of the leading bands in Europe accompanying silent-era film, Minima's spine-tingling live music captures the eerie, Gothic feel of FW Murnau's horror classic perfectly. The first screen version of Bram Stoker's Dracula – though all names were changed because the adaptation was unauthorised – much legend surrounds it, with Max Schreck's unearthly performance so convincing as to lead to the belief that he was a genuine vampire.
