NEW PERSPECTIVES THEATRE HARVEST A compelling and colourful Yorkshire farming saga, this darkly entertaining comedy tells the story of one family's tireless fight for survival in a changing agricultural landscape, over two world wars, generations of births, deaths and marriages, and a lifetime of farming. From Richard Bean, writer of the international hit One Man, Two Guvnors, this is a great play, vividly told and laced with humour. Ages: 14+ New Perspectives Theatre is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.
A PARLOUR CONCERT WITH MISTER KEITH A splendid evening of gently quirky, expertly crafted songs – think Ray Davies, Squeeze – stories and humour by the self-professed originator of 'Victorian Pop'. With song styles varying from jaunty showground to slow lament, all carried forward by lilting melodies and warm, quintessentially English vocals, the bowler-hatted Mister Keith and his small 'orchestra' of multi-instrumentalists invoke memories of times gone by. An intimate little gem. Ages: 6+ Sat 30 Sep 7.30pm

BADAPPLE THEATRE SALSA VERDE A smart-stepping new comedy with some sublime music and sultry dancing; the story of two love-triangles set decades apart, of a wartime dancehall tryst, and of a battle to win the heart of the village hall salsa dance teacher. One voice, one guitar, and the wondrous magic of spellbinding music, segueing easily from emotive originals into 1930s Cuban jazz, Elizabethan ballads into Irish folk, Americana into unexpected contemporary covers. With a rich warm singing voice, exceptional guitar playing, superb live technical wizardry and cheeky onstage road-stories, Sarah McQuaid's beautifully crafted solo show casts a quietly sublime spell. ★★★★★ Maverick Magazine
‘Brilliant musicianship, a warm and welcoming stage presence and a voice as rich, matured and knowing as the finest thrice-distilled Irish malt whiskey.’ fRoots Magazine Ages: 7+
'OWDYADO THEATRE A VIEW FROM THE EDGE 1950: Charlie Daniels, a private eye hired by the seductive Elise Hillerman to track down her disappeared husband. Now: Charlotte and Dan struggle to write the new film noir-inspired theatre show you are actually watching. Influenced by cult filmmakers Charlie Kaufman and David Lynch, this deftly woven narrative of stories within stories is wittily and elegantly performed. And as fiction turns into reality and back again, as stories spin, fragment and entangle with each other, one question arises: whose reality is real? A little gem of a show. Ages: 14+
FLAMENCO ALMA GITANA This acclaimed Spanish flamenco ensemble of voice, guitar and dancer brim with passion, power and technical command, delivering both slow, grand emotion and driving gunfire rhythms, with Lourdes Fernandez's heels hammering the floor. THEATRE CHIPPING NORTON SHERLOCK HOLMES AND THE CRIMSON COBBLES Murder! Mystery! Mayhem! A witty, laugh-a-minute pastiche of Conan Doyle's great detective, this fast paced, quirky and deeply daft retelling of one of the darkest times in Victorian history sees Holmes stalking Jack the Ripper in the streets of London's East End. But when the evidence points to only one possible conclusion – that the Ripper is actually Sherlock's trusted sidekick Dr Watson – is our super sleuth prepared to believe the unbelievable? A kinetic, boisterous, jokefuelled treat... tirelessly superb.
OH LA LA! OH LA LA! AN EVENING OF FRENCH FANCIES Performing live, this very charming and sophisticated acoustic quartet are a delight, with Parisian Fifi la Mer shepherding her band through a set of gorgeous café music; authentic musette, playful chanson réaliste, 60s pop and classic jazz, with a figurative fug of Gauloise smoke drifting above. Unique entertainers, they blend their rich and evocative sound with Gallic coolness, natural panache and a colossal sense of fun. Magnificent. Ages: 7+
Tender poignancy and comic touches of sheer brilliance abound in this hugely acclaimed comic ode to death and friendship from the highly innovative Tangram Theatre.
Recounting the life-changing jungle adventures of the French artist-diva/explorer Gloria Delaneuf and her hapless and wonderfully longsuffering assistant Josephine as they follow in the tracks of Diane Fossey to communicate with gorillas.
Full of 'magnificently clever' (The Guardian) comedytheatre and threaded through with exquisite live music, this outlandish story of how one man gave his terminally ill best friend the full Viking funeral he'd always dreamed of, is remarkable. Deeply personal, deeply felt and delightfully comic. ★★★★★
Ingenious and hilariously funny this is fantastic comedytheatre, with the awardwinning and absolutely brilliant French/English performers holding the audience spellbound and in stitches with their slapstick physicality and pitch perfect wordplay.
‘A great show by a hysterical female double act. Catch them now before they are selling out at the Albert Hall.’

A brave Robin Hood goes on a quest to find the missing Little Red Riding Hood, helped by a kind bunny rabbit and hindered by a whacky old wolf who looks more than a little like the Sheriff of Nottingham.
