Welcome to our new season of Leap into Live Music! events, offering a fantastic range of performances for our members. As a Leap member you get access to free and discounted performances at Liverpool Philharmonic. We want to be able to offer you as many opportunities to experience live music as possible and so there will be a price of £10 per adult and £5 for under 16s for all members for certain performances - more details in the brochure. This is still a fantastic discounted rate of up to 75% and allows us to contribute towards the cost of tickets so that as many people as possible can attend.
If you’re not sure if a concert or performance will be suitable for you or your family please get in touch, our team will be happy to advise. We hope you like our latest brochure and the events we have on offer – if you think we have missed anything or have any comments please do let us know, we’d love to know what you think. We look forward to seeing you at an event soon! Liz at Leap into Live Music!
All tickets must be booked at least one week before the performance by sending an email to leap@liverpoolphil.com, or by calling Box Office on 0151 709 3789. 2
How the scheme works… Leap into Live Music! is generously funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation to enable Liverpool Philharmonic to provide free and discounted tickets for people to experience live music events. We offer a range of performances across Liverpool Philharmonic’s varied programme from orchestral performances to Rock ‘n’ Pop concerts.
What to do if you can’t make an event… If you can’t make an event, we ask that you let us know as soon as you can. This will enable us to offer the tickets to other Leap members and make sure that the seats don’t go to waste. If you have a family emergency or something crops up don’t worry, but we’d appreciate that you let us know once things have settled down. We have a three strikes rule for members who consistently book, fail to attend and don’t let us know. This enables us to prioritise members who really want tickets.
To cancel Email leap@liverpoolphil.com Call Box Office on 0151 709 3789 Text 07834 790 760 (make sure you give your name) Please note that normal Box Office telephone opening hours are: Monday to Saturday 9.30am – 6pm performance days 9.30am – 5.30pm non-performance days Sunday 12noon – 6pm performance days 12noon – 5pm non-performance days

Elles Bailey Friday 5 October 8pm Music Room Elles Bailey has a talent for crafting and seamlessly weaving rootsy blues, country, and soulful rock, with a contemporary edge. Fate has blessed her with a ‘smoky vocal’ style that perfectly fits her music. Her debut album Wildfire debuted at no.2 in the iTunes Blues Charts. Produced by Brad Nowell Wildfire assembled a host of Nashville’s finest, including Grammy Award winning guitarist Brent Mason and three-time ‘Musician Hall Of Famer’ Bobby Wood. Reviewers have been wowed by Elles and her debut album, with Maverick Magazine describing Elles’ songs as ‘fresh and original’, and Blues In Britain reminding us that ‘it’s a fact that very few make it to the big stage but Elles Bailey has the necessary talent, the drive, and now the product.’

Romeo and Juliet Friday 26 October 1.30pm Liverpool Philharmonic Hall Shchedrin Concerto for Orchestra No.1 (Naughty Limericks) Khachaturian Violin Concerto Prokofiev Excerpts from Romeo and Juliet Vasily Petrenko conductor Nemanja Radulović violin From Russia with love: combine Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet with two of Russia’s most passionate composers, and the results just sweep you off your feet. Prokofiev’s ballet retells the story of Shakespeare’s ‘starcrossed’ lovers in the bold melodies and punchy rhythms of Soviet Russia. Vasily Petrenko simply adores them both, and Nemanja Radulović, returning to Liverpool after his stunning debut in 2016, feels the same way about Khachaturian’s sultry, sweeping Violin Concerto – a spectacular showcase for a violinist with charisma to spare!

You loved it in 2016: so by popular demand, here’s one more chance to check into the Bates Motel – if you dare…
