Thank you to the Keystone Simmental Association for including us in their marketing plans. Particularly, those members who went to the effort to extend personal phone calls inviting and encouraging us to take on the task of this renewed partnership. That makes you feel pretty darn good! Of course, thank you to all the members who received our farm tours with enthusiasm and were open to suggestions and advice.
As breeders who may not be in a position to self sustain their own sale, it’s great to see a level of committed cooperation to join forces to create and maintain a platform of consistency. As well, these breeders are collectively promoting this great breed in it’s entirety and offering top end Fullbloods and Purebreds! Added value to the term promoting, could be said as “circulating” these excellent genetics into the North American cattle population.
Generally, a consignment themed sale, for the most part, is a female offering, but hang on, a BULL SALE is about to bust loose! This presents a fantastic opportunity to acquire quality prospects before that year end hits and spend some of that calf cheque before the taxman cometh! Buy them now, send them back home, let someone else feed them for the winter, get sementested and delivered to your doorstep in the spring = pretty good deal in my mind!
But not to over shadow the “ladies”, they have all been pre-screened by TLC fieldmen for quality control! Bred females and fancy calendar year born heifers make up a dedicated line-up that represent the best of multiple breeding programs, all in one place. This also of course presents opportunity and convenience.
We are available as always to handle any appraisals, you may require if you’re not able to attend in person. Simply call any of our TLC cell numbers listed.
See you in Brandon,

Honey, an outstanding HOMOZYGOUS POLLED, 100% Full Fleckvieh Fullblood female, exemplifies our breeding program’s goals and descends from a notable cow family in our herd. Lovely, a maternal sister, and Hilda, a daughter of her maternal grand dam, are featured in this sale as well. Females from this cow family have called Virginia Ranch and Curtis Simmentals home. This exceptional cow family is distinguished by its consistent production of individuals with remarkable thickness, depth, capacity, strong top lines, exemplary udders, and a correct leg and foot structure. While parting with exceptional females like Honey is difficult, our dedication to presenting exceptional quality remains resolute. With Havoc as her sire, Honey’s potential is limitless, underscoring her value as a prime breeders candidate.

100% Full Fleckvieh, Horned This cow family consistently showcases exceptional quality. A maternal half-sister was sold to James Creek Simmentals in North Dakota as a high-selling open heifer in last year’s sale. Notably, this impressive female’s maternal grandmother features a remarkable homozygous polled bull, Rich Mc DBL Shot Whiskey PP, included in this sale. I am confident that this 100% Fleckvieh Fullblood heifer will excel in her career. She boasts a thick, deep body with a strong, wide top line, combining broodiness with femininity and visual appeal. Her pigment is ideal, particularly for those aiming to produce high-value calves.
Full Fleckvieh, Polled
As an outcross from most current genetic lines, this POLLED 100% Fleckvieh Fullblood presents a valuable opportunity to establish innovative polled genetic lines within the industry. So Smitten is an exceptional, deep, thick, feminine female, and is the result of a strategic Draco x Rich Mc Eisenherz 9M flush that yielded four outstanding females including this ladies dam after 18 years in the nitrogen storage tank. You can find Rich Mc Eisenherz 4L (a flush mate sister of 9M) as a starting point for the polled genetics in FGAF Guerrero 18Y. 9M herself, has produced offspring that have a genetic influence in a number of females in our herd, as well as Rich Mc Gonna Be Legendary who sold at the World Congress Sale to Ultra and Barlee, and Rich Mc Pol Hyatt PPFF 25H, who has sired high sellers for JB Livestock ourselves and most recently for SOT at the Fleckvieh Heritage sale in Oklahoma. We have successfully utilized So Smitten sire, Rich Mc Pol Kingston, a Havoc son, for the past 2 breeding seasons. We are extremely pleased with his first calf crop here and eagerly wait next years. Kingston now walks the pastures at Double Bar D. 3

The Havoc daughters exhibit uniform excellence, combining power, thickness, exceptional capacity, and femininity with optimal leg, foot structure, and udder quality. This POLLED, 100% Fleckvieh Fullblood exemplifies these traits. She’s a Lady hails from a strong cow family, the Eldandi cow family, a vital component of any successful breeding program. This lineage consistently produces exceptional results. A full brother, Rich Mc Pol Kingston, has generated impressive offspring this year for us and is currently part of the renowned Double Bar D herd. Being bred to our heifer walking bull, Sibelle Pol Drakkar 16J will be an exciting combination. Have a look at the Drakkar offspring off of first calf heifers in this sale and you will understand our excitement about this herd sire.

I love this cow family! The maternal lineage of Hilda’s dam, 3E, is outstanding, as noted in Hilda 18L and in 3E’s maternal granddaughters in this sale, Lovely 53L and the homozygous polled granddaughter, Honey I’m Good PP. All three of these heifers epitomize the family’s exceptional maternal qualities. These 100% Fleckvieh Fullblood females exhibit impressive power, capacity, and thickness while retaining femininity, irrespective of horned or polled status. Havoc, Hilda’s sire, has been a valuable asset to our breeding program, producing highly successful offspring globally. His daughters have proven themselves as exceptional mothers with excellent udders and impressive offspring. Notably, this sale features Rich Mc Pol Ragnarok PP 4M, a homozygous polled bull calf mothered by a 1st calf Havoc daughter and sired by Drakkar. Offering a refreshing outcross from contemporary maternal genetics, this POLLED 100% Fleckvieh Fullblood is poised to spearhead polled genetic developments. The accomplished Draco x Rich Mc Eisneherz 9M flush produced her dam and three other remarkable females. Rich Mc Eisenherz 9M, tracing back to the foundational cow Richmond Miss Moses 77G, shows up in the pedigrees of influential offspring, including Rich Mc Gonna Be Legendary who sold at the World Congress Sale to Ultra and Barlee, and Rich Mc Pol Hyatt PPFF 25H, who has sired high sellers for JB Livestock, ourselves and most recently SOT in the Fleckvieh Heritage Sale, Oklahoma. Drakkar, her sire, is demonstrating impressive potential in his first two calf crops. The females of this family are all deep capacity females, with excellent udder structure and mothering characteristics. Her maternal grandsire, Starwest Ember has played an important part in our female line development and we are so thankful we purchased him. Combining the Ember maternal lines with the exceptional Drakkar, is going to be exciting to see this cross move forward. This exceptional female, being bred to the calving ease BEL Steward 2nd, will allow the new owner to benefit from the resulting calf. 100% Full Fleckvieh, Homozygous Polled, Non-Dilutor
This exceptional, well-muscled, deep bodied, and good-footed HOMOZYGOUS POLLED, Non-Dilutor 100% Full Fleckvieh bull shows outstanding potential! As a son of the exciting Skywest Pol Havoc, and anchored by the exceptional 23D cow family, his genetic potential is substantial. Our confidence in the 23D line prompted us to retain two daughters to continue the line on. One of these daughters has a feature open heifer in the sale, Helen of Troy 1M! A maternal brother to Whiskey has consistently impressed at Mack Ranch in North Dakota for a few years now. While paternally, Havoc sons demonstrate exceptional promise with their first offspring on the ground. We are extremely happy with the Havoc son, Kingston that we retained for two breeding seasons and now is walking at Double Bar D. A feature open heifer, So Smitten, is an example of what Havoc sons can do. As well, take a look at his sire’s daughters in the sale, including our lead off open Honey I’m Good and the two lead off bred females, She’s a Lady and Hilda. Showing a lower birth of 88 pounds and a 910 pound weaning weight, along with all of his other attributes, Whiskey is poised to produce exceptional daughters and sons, making him a valuable asset to any breeding program, with the added benefit that all his offspring will be polled.
100% Full Fleckvieh, Polled, Non-Dilutor Mickey, a POLLED, Non-Dilutor, 100% Full Fleckvieh Fullblood, boasts an exceptional appealing appearance. Characterized by a smooth, long, thick, and wide top line, coupled with a well-structured quarter, correct legs and feet, what is there not to like! With JB Gwyneth as his paternal grandmother-known for producing outstanding bulls including Mickey’s sire, Hero, whose offspring have attracted significant attention, including high-selling females acquired by MAVV Farms in Alberta, Robb Farms of Saskatchewan, Logland Farms in Oklahoma, Great Guns Texas, and Red Oak Farms, Alabama. The influence of Starwest Ember as a maternal grand sire is definitely an asset given Ember’s proven track record of producing exceptional offspring that have gone on to work well. Originating from the JB Jola cow family, you again add in a top producing female genetic line. Our feature open, Honey I’m Good originates from this exact same cow family, as does one of the feature breds, Hilda 18L. The guesswork is done here folks!

A calving ease, HOMOZYGOUS POLLED, Non-Dilutor, 100% Full Fleckvieh Fullblood, Ragnarik is a cool genetic package. He mirrors his sire Drakkar as a yearling. Moderate framed, smoothly made, low birth weight of 72lbs, and a weighing weight of 826 lbs off a first calf Havoc daughter- Ragnarik potential is impressive.! His sire, Drakkar, a Manchester son out of a Spartacus daughter has proven himself multiple times over the last 2 calf crops, and we eagerly await his crop of calves next spring. They come out easy and are vigorous. Both bulls and heifers gain well, are eye appealing and structurally correct. His dam, coming from a long standing cow family, is taking after his grand dam 1D, being a deep soggy cow. 1D keeps pumping out the good ones, with high selling cattle working for the noted herds of Starwest, and Jeff Knox of Australia. 1D is one of our most soggiest and deepest cows we have. She is always one of the first females people notice when they are here, and Darren from Transcons favorite cow on our farm. With his maternal sire being Havoc- that just finishes the deal. Oh and all his calves will be polled!

100% Full Fleckvieh, Polled, Non-Dilutor I really like this POLLED, Non-Dilutor, 100% Full Fleckvieh Fullblood. He has calving ease built in, being an Ember son, out of a Anchor D Outlook/Bee Battle Cry daughter, yet has very good performance numbers as well. He has great depth, volume, spring of rib, muscle development and eye appeal all supported by a well-structured foot, making him an outstanding overall package. We unfortunately lost his sire Ember this summer; with limited amount of semen on Ember- he will be one of the Last of His Kind. This guy warrants careful consideration.
100% Full Fleckvieh, Polled, Non-Dilutor I’m particularly drawn to this exceptional POLLED, NonDilutor, 100% Full Fleckvieh Fullblood, which exhibits remarkable depth and capacity. Key performance indicators include 90-pound birth weight and a 944-pound weaning weight, supported by a well-balanced set of EPD’s. The Battle Royale offspring, specifically through an Ember daughter, ensures reliability. Our long-held belief that predictability drives profitability underscores the value of this individual.

Showing performance out of a first calving heifer with an adjusted 205 weaning weight of 945 pounds, and a birth weight of 88 pounds is noteworthy. A deep red bull, with thickness, depth and eye appeal, he will produce those good heavy steer calves and quality replacement females.

A 100% Full Fleckvieh Fullblood Ember son, that is long and smooth out of a good Maxwell female we purchased a few years ago as a high selling bred in their sale. His dam has established a track record of producing heavy weaning weight male calves, if she ever has a heifer, it will be a keeper. Being an Ember son really adds in the consistency that we see in his offspring. This guy will give you those long heavy weight steer calves and desirable replacement quality females. Don’t let him slip by you.

On our never ending quest to find the next herd bull for our polled program, Skywest Pol Havoc, a big soggy polled, 100% Full Fleckvieh, non-dilutor power bull fit the bill and we knew we had to own him in the spring of 2021. Havoc is an easy fleshing stud with exceptional length, depth and lots of natural muscle, walking on a big foot. We admired his dam’s ability to produce multiple high selling breeders’ bulls in the past, and with Havoc selling for a commanding $41,000, she did it again. His sire, Sibelle Pol Synergy walked the pastures of Virginia Ranch and has made his mark in their program with multiple feature sons and daughter selling for premium prices to elite programs. Synergy is a flush mate to Sibelle Sugar Ray, who sired the record setting $355,000 BLL Rumble in the spring of 2022.
Havoc produces top-notch daughters who calve easily, are great mothers, have tidy udders and consistently have exciting sons and daughters at side. Over the last two years, daughters were top sellers in their respective sales- Rich Mc Pol Khaleesi 49K going to Double Bar D for $27000 CDN, Rich Mc Karolina 55K for $17000 USD going to Corley Land and Cattle (now both have exciting bull calves at side), Rich Mc Pol Lady Godivia 7L commanding $19000 CDN going to Australia, and Rich Mc Make It Sweet 4L going to Heritage Farms, Oklahoma for 10500 USD. Havoc’s sons are just as impressive; going on to produce exciting calves of their own within other breeder’s programs and our own. Notably, Rich Mc Pol Kingston 43K who we used for two breeding seasons and are extremely pleased with his calves now walks the pastures of Double Bar D. Take a close look at the Havoc females and sons, as well as a grandson in this sale and you will understand the excitement.
Every time a limited amount of Havoc semen is sold, it has been highly sought after and produced high selling individuals for their owners. The interest in Havoc continues to build. His future is Bright!
The momentum is building on Hyatt, a homozygous polled, non-dilutor bull. We are excited to offer semen packages on this 100% Full Fleckvieh bull. A long, deep, soggy, soft sided bull, out of the now deceased great Starwest Ember. Hyatt, just like his sire Ember, is noted for producing predictable and consistant offspring. Hyatt has sired outstanding and sought after females including a high selling bred JB CDN Anna Wintour 2210 at 2023 Southern Alberta Roundup, Rich Mc Pol Image PPFF 40K, a high selling open at the Keystone Konnection to Robb Farms and most recently the high selling choice of the SOT herd at the Fleckvieh Heritage in Oklahoma. The homozygous polled daughter of Hyatt, SOT Panzues Hyatt L389E was chosen. Hyatt’s dam, Rich Mc Pol 15Y (out of the Sim Roc Zereeva cow family) produced until she was 14 years old and gave us a number of great female lines, including the 13A family who has produced many high selling females, notably the high selling Miss Fancy Pants PPFF 9K and the mother of our high selling female at the World Congress Sale, Rich Mc Gonna Be Legenadary 2L. Hyatt’s sire Starwest Ember has produced so many outstanding sons and daughters in our herd as well as selling multiple high selling offspring to breeders in Canada and the USA.

Wow! What an eye appealing polled, “WLB BlazeOn” heifer. A quiet, stylish female with tons of potential, out of a lead off Northern Light heifer we had purchased. She is a soggy, yet a feminine kind of female off a hard working, easy keeping NAC cow that has all the traits to produce the heavyweights. 15M is wide topped with the perfect depth of rib, consistent through the rear ¼, strong footed with excellent bone structure. “Mason” is above breed EPD averages in 10 out of 13 areas! CE (10.1); BW (2.8); WW (78.3); YW (113.7); Milk (26.8); MCE (5.2); MWWT (66.0) & in 3 other areas. Very impressive traits.
This heifer is a solid, dark red, sweet, “IPU Betts” daughter that is show ready and off one of our favorite cows, 56B. She has been a top notch foundation cow in our herd over the years. A wonderful milking, power producing female , consistently providing strong bulls and females. A full brother sold for $7750.00 & a maternal brother “Grandslam” sold to Stacey Bell, Clive, AB. Here is a performance heifer with top WWT & YWT EPD’s. She should add milk (top 30% milk EPD’s), has real good maternal traits; MCE (top 10%) & MWWT (top 25% breed avgs.) 19M has many generations of polled in her background.

A maternal sib produced our 2024 High Selling bull for $13,000.00 selling to Cordell Frisholze of Minton, Sask. “MacKenzie’s percentile ranking show that she will add performance with a WW 80.9 (top 35% of breed); YWT 118.1 (top 40%); she will add Milk 28.2 (top 35%); She has real good Maternal traits- MCE 7.7 (top 10%); MWWT 68.7 (top 30%); CW (top 30%); Rea & Fat all above breed averages.
Recently nicknamed “Buttercup”, this curvy little number will be a performer. Sierra showed her full sister this past year in 4-H and summer shows and was awarded “Reserve Grand Champion” with her. 21M displays a lot of the same characteristics as her full sister. She is a thick, easy doing, polled, docile “IPU Betts” heifer that should go on and produce top notch offspring in her new owners herd. Ones that will tip the scales down come fall time. The strong power type you’re looking for is in this female. She will be the type that is sure to provide consistency and longevity in both bulls and females that she produces.

A dark red moderate frame, with an exceptionally wide top. She was shown at AgX, and was first in her split. Her grand dam 9761 is a foundation donor, an On Target and the Hass Ranch cow. Her mating with our foundation herd sire Wheatland 786T has built a very strong foundation cow family. She will be a high performing addition to any herd. An outcross pedigree that has years of proven progeny here at Maple Lake.
Maple Lake Scream This performance heifer could be a well loved 4 H project. She is very quiet, great hair coat, extra length and thick hip. We showed her at the Black Gold All breed show in September She made the Final drive. She was easy to work with. She has Captain Scream and Cheyenne in her pedigree. We have been happy with the Scream performance females in our herd
Last year was our first year back after many years away. We’re pleased to be back for year 2 with the “new” Striker Cattle Co. and be a part of such a great group of consignors and strong offering of cattle.
Thanks to Gary Bitz and Ag-Land Farms for their purchases last year and we trust the cattle worked out well for them. We feel we have consigned a couple of good, functional bred heifers this year and would hope most will find Striker MS 19L to be an opportunity to own an exceptional female. After talks with Glenn from Transcon, we have made arrangements to make the Keystone Sale our marketplace for our bull calves. Our herd is small, but we feel very high quality and hope to be able to bring value to the sale this year and for many years to come.
Welcome to everyone here and online and look forward to a great day at the Keystone sale.

A Hart State of War 056C daughter out of a first calf heifer purchased as a bred at the Keystone sale in 2022. This heifer shows plenty of depth and volume and is tidy through the shoulders and neck. Striker Ms 444L is bred to the easy calving, high performing bull WS Proclamation. Look for a calf with plenty of eye appeal and above average performance.
AI Bred March 31 to WS Proclamation E202. No exposure.
We’ve had great success using RF Supercharged 9150G in our program. A super heifer calf, Striker Ms 104L, that sold to Ag-Land Farms in this sale last year, our sale feature, Striker Ms 19L, in this year’s sale and this outstanding individual. Striker Mr 998M has tremendous length and a nice muscle pattern through the hip and loin and lots of performance for a mid-February calf. His High Roller dam was purchased as a bred heifer in the WLB dispersal and has become a key member of our breeding/flush program. There are 2 transplant bull calves in this sale as well from the same cow.
A transplant son of Heidi and he’s patterned much the same as her natural calf, Striker Mr 998M. You have to appreciate the depth and volume of these calves and their ability to move freely on sound feet and legs. We’re looking forward to seeing these bull calves mature and develop into exceptional herd sires. This year we have 4 Mandate calves from this mating (2 bulls and 2 heifers) and are very pleased with all of them.
STRIKER MR 702M
Here’s a calf we have really liked from the start. He has such a natural, appealing muscle pattern. Striker Mr 916M is smooth and deep and just profiles so well. Being a Proclamation son, calving ease and performance should be very evident in his offspring. His maternal sister sold as a bred to Gary Bitz in the sale last year.

Welcome to the 46th Annual Keystone Konnection Sale. As long time consigners to this elite consignment sale we have always saved our best red and black females to showcase here. I know we have said this before but this year I truly believe we will offer our strongest most consistent package of heifers yet to date! With the five breds and the one prospect open there is many similarities in the bloodlines that work for us here with the likes of Cobra, Mountain, Hercules and Cowboy Cut. All of these heifers are out of never miss females here at the ranch.
As the excitement builds in the cattle business you can buy these girls with confidence knowing they are out of proven genetics and will provide an excellent ROI. These purebred heifers are run alongside the commercials with no special treatment therefore are the type of cattle that will strive and produce for years to come.
They have been slowly and easily fleshed up on a 14% developer pellet as well as free choice hay. They are on the Phizer Gold vaccine program & Ivomec , and will have received their first shot of scourguard prior to sale time.
Mated to popular calving ease A.I sires, calving time will be exciting. If you have and questions about our offering don’t hesitate to get in touch or pop by and see them in their home environment at the ranch. Looking forward to seeing you all sale day!

You want a brood cow? Look no further! One dark cherry red female here containing everything we look for in a cow. This heifer is deep and contains as much volume as you will find anywhere. Added bonus is she has a great temperament as well. This combination clicked with Mountain, used on a bigger framed, powerful older genetic outcross cow we had bought from Mar Mac right out of this very sale. I’m quite excited to see the pairing with the new A.I Calibrate bull. Milkability will not be an issue here, she should have one of the heavy weights come weaning time.

A very complete and angular daughter off our Mountain bull who has done such a consistent job for us here. We really like the temperament of this heifer that is very noticeable from this cow family. Out of the KASK 340A cow who has done great things here over the years; she will do no different. The matron cow has a picture perfect udder at 11 years of age and this girl is setting up to be just the same. A tick of black facial pigment is quite heritable in the pedigree stemming back to the likes of the proven sire Wheatland Red Teddy. Mated to the new and exciting outcross homo polled Genex sire; Calibrate K209, excitement awaits at calving time. Word is he will be the next big red calving ease sire around.

A heifer here that we debated very hard on parting with but; as I said in my prior comments, we bring our best to town. Being out of the Cowboy Cut bull who has worked very well for us as an A.I sire; and out of a Cobra female stemming back to the Paris cow family she is genetically stacked! Top notch udder and teat placement run deep in this line of females and this girl looks to be following suite. You have to appreciate this heifer as a complete package of width over the top, quarter, hip and length; she checks all the boxes! Bred to the proven calving ease sire WHL Gold Key 1619D I would be very pumped to see the offspring on this one when she lays down to calve.
A.I. bred Apr.26th to WHL Gold Key 1619D; preg tested safe, exposed to ARC Top Tier 5L April 29-Aug 10 Consigned by – Crest View Ranch
A fancy black brockle faced heifer right here! A nice mix of black baldy genetics with the likes of Cobra on the top side and going back to the big fella, the JDF Honky Tonk bull on the bottom. This one is out of a Prairie Wind cow we got from Wes Mack a few years back in the Shades Sale. She is proving herself to be quite productive in our herd. She is quite well put together with a nice profile and ample substance. As well also setting up a nice udder and teat placement. Bred Kaboom, I’m quite certain a baldy baby is in the making.
A.I bred April 15th to IRCC Double Bar D Kaboom 205K; preg tested safe, exposed to CSV 112L May 6-Aug 10
Here’s something exciting!; our first HHFS Hercules 5H bred to go up for sale. Unfortunately he is not walking the pastures here anymore but you will see more of him as we managed to draw him for use by A.I in our herd. His results have been outstanding, especially in the division of knocking that blaze or white face on the majority of his offspring. On the top side with the likes of Savage who goes back to Lock & Load, and Broker who needs no introduction she has a fairly explosive pedigree. Maternally backed by a young up and coming bigger framed, broody Centerfire daughter. Centerfire needs no explanation if you followed our bloodlines for the last number of years. His genetic makeup made for some of the best females to sell or retain in the herd that we’ve ever had. A.Ied to the new exciting IRCC Double Bar D Kaboom bull I’m quite sure her calf will be amazing. A.I bred April 19 to IRCC Double Bar D Kaboom 205K; preg tested safe,
Here is a very attractive Cobra daughter with a flashy blaze! A heifer that would be staying home to likely drag a halter at 4H and other show rings had the boys not already been decided. Step up junior members and check this one out; she is sure to demand attention wherever she goes. Again debating on bringing this one to town; we figured it would be the perfect opportunity to showcase an open that is so closely related to the 223L bred if you analyze their pedigrees. Compare the two and you will see the proof is there in both being very complete in their own right with these very tight genes. Production is a word that best describes this cow family; producing us many saleable offspring. Cobra on the top side needs no introduction & with that sought after blaze face, take her any direction come breeding time, the results will be awesome! The Keystone Konnection sale has long been a great source for reliable hard working Simmentals. WLB has purchased a number of “money makers” over the years. To be a consigner amongst this group of consignors is indeed a privilege and an honor. In addition to consigning an open heifer we have also listed a Top Tier son that will add to the bull choices you will have on sale day. Contact us about our wintering program that we offer.

Selling this one really hurts! A Brooks daughter out of one of the first John Wayne daughters to calve. She was #1 on our keeping list but the heifer we intended to consign came up with an injury a week before catalogue time forcing us to either consign no female at all or pull up our socks and get serious! This gal has a number of high profile Simmentals in her pedigree but the real reason we wanted this female to stay at WLB(we are all about cow families) was the 484F female, her grand-dam. She’s our kind of female being moderate in size, square uddered and big on production. Her genetics are proving to breed true. It doesn’t show up in her catalogue pedigree but she combines the L205 cow family with WLB 462P Lucy 373T and the SVS BLK Satin 80A. Which represents three highly productive females that produced at WLB. These three cows were long lasting, good footed, dependable cows. All three were foundation quality females. Two were purchased, the other was born at WLB and made her presence known through the nine sale bulls she produced. Buy this girl to create something exciting. Make her your next foundation female. Welcome to the 46th Keystone Konnection Sale. We look forward to having the Transcon team as sale managers. This is our 25th year as a member of the Keystone Simmental Association. Our small herd is now my retirement project, and in addition to keeping me physically and mentally active, keeps me a part of the great group of people in the cattle industry. Our herd is on a comprehensive herd health program and our consignments have received both their initial and booster Scourbos vaccinations. The service sires to our sale heifers are at the top of the breed for calving ease EPDs.
If calving in January is not part of your program, we are willing to make arrangements with you to keep either of our consignments and calve them out for you.

Welcome back to the 46th edition of the Keystone Konnection sale!
Some of you might recognize me as the “junior division” of Creekside Cattle Co, but let me reintroduce myself, my name is Sydney, owner of Reign, Simmental enthusiast, and an absolute crop nerd. With the dispersal of Mom and Dad’s cow calf pairs this spring, I decided to rebrand to a name that I connected with a little more — Creekside was great, it did its job for a num ber of years, but let’s face it, there’s a number of Creeksides already in existence and things were confusing for everyone involved whether we were Creekside Simmentals or Cattle Co. Then Reign was born. A play on words of both my heritage, and where I thrive to be in terms of ambition and where I want to take the cow herd.
On dispersal day a number of the Creekside cows came back home under different ownership, I believe I brought our top end cows back home to produce and build off of for years to come.
Here’s to a new era!

Homo Polled, Open. Sugar, spice and everything nice. Red Hot is a stylish, angular made heifer calf out of the young but proven “Pixie” cow family. The Pixie family is my fastest growing red family and have proven themselves to give a quick ROI, proving themselves off the start with the first calf as the Pixie cow herself did, the family matriarch Rusylvia 58F aka “Fairy” as well as the Kourtney heifer who is off the same cow family, I sold last year with Transcon to Crooked Creek Farms. This family puts in the work for you time and time again. On the sire side she’s out of our Bentley 88G bull with a stacked pedigree, combining the widely loved Bentley 630D, breed legend Wheatland 680S, and going back to the Utopia 60U family. Sit back, relax and let her do the work.
Carol and I moved to Canada from Scotland in 1998 with our two children Douglas and Kay. We bought bred Black Angus commercial cows and from there we built up a herd using Black Angus bulls for around 11 years.
We start calving beginning of January and sell our calves straight from the pasture and felt we needed to get our weaning weights higher with also a bit of hybrid vigor. We started looking at different options and liked the look of the black Simmental bulls from Maple Lake Farms. We purchased our first bull from Jerry in 2013 and never looked back.
Our weaning weights have increased by 50 lbs plus and we are very happy that we changed to black Simmental bulls. We also feel we have a good strong replacement heifers weighing around 1000lbs plus at 13-14 months old, this has been a huge change in the performance of our cattle.
We are proud to bring this group of commercial heifers to the sale and show everyone this side of our business. Breeding our commercial cows to fleck bulls allows us to get excellent replacement females with top quality udders that will have lots of milk to produce steers that push down the scale at selling time. These 3 fleck influenced polled replacement females will definitely go into anyone’s herd and raise calves that will command top dollar at auction mart. These heifers come fully vaccinated. Any questions feel free to give us a call.
