TRANSCON’S NATIONAL TRUST ON ICE SEMEN & EMBRYO SALE WILL BE HELD AS A TIMED ONLINE EVENT
1. Create an account at www.transconlivestock.com through the sale login tab. Or if you already have an existing account, login through the sale login link on the Transcon website.
2. Find the Transcon’s National Trust On Ice Semen & Embryo timed auction sale and enter the site by clicking the sales link.
3. You will be able to view all the lots on the timed auction and place your bid on any of them that you choose to. You will also be able to place your max bid if you are unable to participate when the sale closes out. PLEASE NOTE: THE AMOUNT YOU BID IS A PER UNIT BID NOT A PER LOT BID.
For example: if you bid $25 on 10 straws semen your invoice will be $25x10 for a total of $250 plus taxes. If you want to spend no more than $250 on 10 straws your max bid would be $25.
4. All lots will close at the same time on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 12 pm. UNLESS When time is running out on an item, any new bids placed will cause additional time to be added to the closing time of the lot. This gives you an opportunity to react and place another bid before the lot is sold.

“Milsap” is a name that’s taking the Fleckvieh breed by storm with excitement as he was on display during The World Fleckvieh Congress held in Olds Alberta this past summer, which he created a lot of buzz as well as his first bred heifers are available by auction this fall which are an outstanding uniform group built by Virginia Ranch. Ever since the day “Milsap” was purchased by Virginia Ranch for $110,000 at the Double Bar D 2022 bull sale, the spotlight has been on him as being the next polled and powerful breed changing herd sire that the industry desires. So far he has hit every milestone that we had hoped for here at Skywest. He calves extremely well, incredibly dark pigmentation, added length and depth which was noticed during weaning while putting the polled gene in majority of his offspring. Viper has had a major impact on our herd and several others across the country. In the past couple years Viper along with his daughters have created a major impact on the industry creating high sellers in both bull sales and bred female sales. Most notably for us was his grand daughter who sold for an impressive $41000. Viper was dense made with a massive hip, smooth shoulders and a big belly. He was one of the soundest made, free moving mature bulls you’ll ever come across. His eye appeal made him very completive in the show ring being named reserve Junior and Senior National Champion in his respective years. Here is a chance to acquire a bull that has already left an imprint in the Fleckvieh world. We have been using Viper again the past couple years and remember why we like him so much. His sons still command attention as 4 sons averaged $11,500 in our 2023 Bull Sale. Also, as a bonus, Viper was a polled bull.

Elevation is a bull that has exceeded our expectations which is something to be said as our expectations were very high! Elevation’s genetics both top and bottom are packed with outstanding udders, large feet and structural correctness. On top of that you also add his dark red color, depth through his heart and flank and wonderful disposition. We were a bit surprised to find that Elevation reduced birth weight and did an outstanding job of throwing his dark red color. We were also very impressed at weaning time. In 2019 his top five bull calves averaged 905lbs at the end of August with no creep feed, these same 5 bulls averaged 88lbs at birth. His bull calves are impressive but he also hit a home run in the heifer pen producing top end females. His daughters are continuously bringing in some of the heaviest calves the last three years. As a couple of side notes, Elevation is the highest selling Full Fleckvieh bull in Canada for 2018. Also note that that our feature bred female is again an Elevation daughter and right behind her is an Elevation grand daughter!

A product of our ET program from the prolific donor DFM Trudy 708T we had the opportunity to own in her later years. DFM Trudy 708T finished her career at the age of 15, never had her feet trimmed, adapted to multiple environments, held her flesh and sported a good udder. We were fortunate to partner on this unique breeding piece 5 years ago. His daughters and sons are very well accepted in both purebred programs and commercial operations. Connected adds length, natural thickness and that touch of fleck that helps make his progeny the easy doing type with nice udders. The bulls are big footed, and very docile. Connected semen has never been offered in bulk quantities but on occasion has been offered for sale. No big marketing push just proof in the pastures and the profit books for those whom have used him. We have used him in the heifer pen on occasion with success.
When we went down and seen this bull as a yearling we knew we needed a semen pack on him. Stout, clean fronted, heavy hipped and huge nutted. We don’t have many cows to breed here. We have used him on sale breds, flushed him with great success and have AI bred a few females as well. Again the reports from our customers say that the heifers all calved without issue and the dark colour has definitely carried through nicely for us. Crest View Land & Cattle are using CSC Redliner 58L in their program that is an ET son of Century and our previous donor FBL Tara 188D, with a full sister being bred this spring in our program we thought we would give another breeder the opportunity to enjoy some of the same success in their program.

This is a semen inventory that includes nine of the first Imported Simmental bulls who played a leading role in the development of the Simmental breed in North America. They now present an excellent outcross for today’s Simmentals.
The final bull on the list is SunChangers Sir Haxl 1. He represents a great Fleckvieh genetic bloodline from Germany. His sire is the famous Sir Arnold 809G bull. His dam, Rymar Karina, is a direct daughter of the legendary German performance proven bull Haxl. He sired over 40,000 calves. He is famous for superbly muscled carcasses and excellent udders.
These bulls have been genetically lab tested with the 100k test at Neogen Canada. ALL progeny will need to be PV to be registered in the CSA herd book.
Special note: The Ueli bull won the supreme championship at the Calgary World Simmental Congress in 1978, judged by the legendary Jonathan Fox.

consistency is becoming more and more evident every year. Every year his EPD’s keep going up on growth and calving. His calves have truly impressed us and visitors and buyers that have seen them. He is well muscled with lots of width and depth and as long as they come. The Pillar calves have no trouble putting the pounds on. He comes with a moderate birth weight and a disposition that everyone wants. We have used him on heifers and cows with no problems at all. Whether it is his sons or daughters he has never disappointed us. His pedigree comes with some great bulls, such as SVS Captain Morgan 11Z and Springcreek Liner 56U.

Should any purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Transcon Livestock Corp. reserves full power to resell to the best advantage either publicly or privately, without further notice. Transcon Livestock Corp and/or the Auctioneer shall have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with the owner or Sale Managers.
SALES TAXES – Applicable sales taxes will be charged on semen, embryos, respective to the home province of the buyer, not the seller. EMBRYO & SEMEN – Full settlement must be made before release is done and shipping arrangements should be done within 14 days of the sale unless arrangements made between buyer and seller prior to the sale. Shipping arrangements and costs are the expense of the purchaser once release has been given.
