In defeat for Trump, judge blocks transgender military ban (Reuters) - A federal judge in Washington on Monday blocked President Donald Trump from banning transgender people from serving in the U.S. military, handing a victory to transgender service members who accused the president of violating their constitutional rights. The transgender service members sued in August to try to block the ban, which had not yet gone into effect, and U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly granted them an injunction halting enforcement of it until their case is resolved. The service members asserted that Trump’s policy violated their rights to due process and equal protection under the law under the U.S. Constitution. KollarKotelly said the plaintiffs were likely to succeed in their claim that the ban was unconstitutional because the administration’s reasons for it “do not appear to be supported by any facts.” After his policy announcement on Twitter, Trump signed a memorandum in August that directed the military not to accept transgender people as recruits and halted the use of government funds for sex-reassignment surgeries for active-duty personnel unless the process was already underway. The memo called on Defense Secretary James Mattis to submit a plan to Trump by Feb. 21 on how to implement the changes, and the Pentagon has created a panel of senior officials for that purpose. In the meantime, the current policy of allowing transgender people to serve remains in force. Mattis in June already had delayed allowing transgender recruits to join the U.S. armed forces on July 1 as previously scheduled. The judge tossed out the suit’s challenge to the sex-reassignment surgery directive, saying none of the plaintiffs had shown they would be impacted by that prohibition. The judge’s action marked the latest legal setback suffered by Trump on policies he has pursued as president. Courts also have blocked Trump’s latest version of a travel ban on people from several Muslim-majority countries, and dealt him setbacks on policies on so-called sanctuary cities and environmental rules. The service members who sued Trump, Secretary of Defense James Mattis and military leaders in August had been serving openly as transgender people in the U.S. Army, Air Force and Coast Guard. They said Trump’s ban discriminated against them based on their sex and transgender status. Other suits also have been filed against Trump’s ban.

Actor Kevin Spacey declares he lives life as a gay man (Reuters) - After years of refusing to address rumors about his sexuality, Oscar-winning actor Kevin Spacey said on Sunday he has chosen to live his life as a gay man. Spacey, 58, who won Oscars for “The Usual Suspects” and “American Beauty,” made the declaration in a post on Twitter. He apologized to fellow actor Anthony Rapp in the same post for an incident Rapp said occurred in 1986. Rapp, who went on to star in the Broadway musical “Rent,” was 14 at the time and starting his career. Spacey said he was “horrified” to hear Rapp’s story of the encounter, which he said “I honestly do not remember” because it occurred more than 30 years ago. He also said he owed Rapp a “sincere apology” for what he said would have been “deeply inappropriate drunken behavior.” Rapp’s story “has encouraged me to address other things in my life,” Spacey wrote. “I have loved and had romantic encounters with men throughout my life, and I now choose to live life as a gay man.” “I want to deal with this honestly and openly,” he said, “and that starts with me examining my own behavior.” Rapp described in an interview attending a party hosted by Spacey in which the actor picked him up, brought him to a bed and lay down on top of him after other guests left. Rapp, who said he had the impression Spacey was drunk, said he pushed him away and left. Spacey, a Tony Award winner for “Lost in Yonkers,” stars in the Netflix political drama “House of Cards.” He also served for 10 years as artistic director of London’s Old Vic theater company.

Transgender candidates rack up wins in first U.S. elections of Trump presidency NEW YORK (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Transgender political candidates scored wins in the first U.S. elections since Donald Trump became president, a sign of their growing acceptance in parts of the country, experts said on Wednesday. Five transgender candidates were victorious, among them a woman who won a heated race for state legislature in Virginia, the highest elected office ever for a transgender candidate, experts said. The results came in the first nationwide elections since Trump, a Republican, was elected last year. The election results show the risk of “moving too far to the right,” said Julian Zelizer, a professor of history and public Affairs at Princeton University in New Jersey. “The nation has clearly changed in its attitudes,” he told the Thomson Reuters Foundation. “It’s more evident that on many issues that socially and culturally the nation has become very liberalized.” At least nine transgender candidates ran for office, with five winning, three losing and one race undecided. It brings the number of openly transgender elected officials to 11 from six, experts said. The winner in Virginia was journalist Danica Roem, the first openly transgender person to win a state legislative seat, said the Victory Fund, which supports LGBT candidates and had endorsed eight candidates including Roem. Roem unseated a 25-year conservative incumbent who had fought a failed effort to limit bathroom access for transgender people, called himself Virginia’s “chief homophobe” and used male pronouns to refer to her on the campaign trail. Other transgender winners were women voted onto city councils in Minneapolis, Doraville, Georgia and Palm Springs, California and a man elected to a Pennsylvania school board.

LGBT characters on U.S. TV at record highs LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - The number of lesbian, gay and transgender characters on U.S. television shows have reached record highs, and campaign group GLAAD said on Thursday that their stories were more important than ever given moves in the United States to roll back LGBT acceptance. In its annual report on diversity on the small screen, GLAAD found 329 regular and recurring LGBTQ characters across all broadcast, cable and streaming TV platforms, including the first asexual and non-binary characters. GLAAD president Sarah Kate Ellis said TV was a critical place for the portrayal of LGBTQ characters and their lives. “At a time when the Trump administration is trying to render LGBTQ people invisible, representing LGBTQ people in all of our diversity in scripted TV programs is an essential counterbalance that gives LGBTQ people stories to relate to,” Ellis said in a statement. The GLAAD report found that LGBTQ regulars on the main U.S. broadcast channels in TV shows like “Riverdale,” “Empire” “Designated Survivor” made up 6.5 percent of all characters, making the highest percentage in 22 years of GLAAD tracking. Netflix’s dark comedy “Bojack Horseman” and Freeform’s supernatural “Shadowhunters” brought audiences the first asexual characters on television. Showtime financial drama “Billions,” Netflix and Family Channel teen drama “Degrassi: The Next Class” and Spike TV’s comedy “Heathers” all feature non-binary characters, a term used to describe those who experience their gender identity falling outside the categories of man and woman, the GLAAD report said. The emergence of new stories reflects the real world, GLAAD said, citing its own research which found that 20 percent of 18-34 year olds identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or queer/questioning.

Sex scandals highlight need to have more LGBTQ, women in power: campaigners LISBON (Thomson Reuters Foundation) Sexual harassment scandals sweeping from Hollywood to other industries globally highlight the need to have more women, gay and black people in power at a time when minority rights are being rolled back, LGBTQ campaigners said on Tuesday. U.S. filmmaker Dustin Lance Black, an lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) activist who won an Oscar for the screenplay for the 2008 movie Milk, said sexual abuse had been ignored for too long in Hollywood. “We’ve heard about the casting couch in Hollywood forever but I think this is likely the end of that,” Black, 43, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation on the sidelines of the 2017 Web Summit global technology conference in Lisbon. “We now need to create an environment in Hollywood where women and LGBTQ people feel safe and then we will see more diversity among the people who succeed in television and film,” he said, adding he never personally faced abuse in Hollywood. Sarah Kate Ellis, head of the U.S.’s largest gay and lesbian advocacy group GLAAD, also flagged her concerns on the erosion of LGBTQ rights without U.S. enforcement, citing recent reports of anti-gay actions in Chechnya, Egypt and Tanzania. “The greatest protection for LGBTQ is acceptance but you also need legal protection and this is rolling back,” said Ellis, who took over as head of GLAAD, or the Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, in 2014. She said it was important LGBTQ people, as well as women, took more leadership positions, to stop the abuse of minorities and vulnerable people by those in positions of power. “It is important this is starting to come out and I hope we see a turnaround in Hollywood where more women, people of color and LGBTQ get into more power because the problem is where the power lies,” Ellis told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Egyptian lawmaker to Hong Kong to host 2022 Gay Games as propose anti-gay bill as LGBT acceptance grows in parts of Asia part of crackdown CAIRO (Reuters) - An Egyptian lawmaker is introducing a draft bill that would imprison those engaging in or promoting same-sex relations, a copy of the draft seen by Reuters on Thursday showed. Amnesty International said the bill is “another nail in the coffin for sexual rights in Egypt” and should be scrapped. It would introduce sentences of to up to 10 years in prison for people engaging in or promoting same-sex relations. The law is part of a wider crackdown against homosexuality that started in September when a group of people were seen raising a rainbow flag at a concert, a rare public show of support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender rights in the conservative Muslim country. “If passed, this law would further entrench stigma and abuse against people based on their perceived sexual orientation,” said Najia Bounaim, North Africa Campaigns Director at Amnesty International. At least 70 people have been arrested and some have been subjected to anal examinations that amount to torture since September. Homosexuality is not specifically outlawed in Egypt but discrimination is rife. Gay men are frequently arrested and typically charged with debauchery, immorality or blasphemy. Egyptian authorities do not deny going after gays. Gay men and rights activists say the LGBT community has been facing an aggressive crackdown since 2013, when President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi as military chief ousted President Mohamed Mursi, an Islamist.

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Hong Kong will host the 2022 Gay Games, fighting off bids from cities in the United States and Mexico to become the first Asian city to stage the sports and cultural event. The games are expected to attract more than 15,000 participants and provide a HK$1-billion ($128-million) boost to the economy, the Hong Kong bid team said in a statement. Bid supporters called the decision a victory for the status of the city’s lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. “This is a big step forward for Hong Kong itself to be able to win this world game ... and it is also a big step for diversity inclusion,” said Alfred Chan, chairman of Hong Kong’s Equal Opportunities Commission, which supported the bid. The Federation of Gay Games (FGG) chose Hong Kong over Guadalajara in Mexico and Washington D.C., in a vote in Paris on Monday. A record 17 cities had expressed interest in hosting the 2022 Gay Games, 13 in the United States. “The impact that the Gay Games has in host cities is incredible in terms of culture, sport, economic impact, history and most importantly, elevating all matters of LGBT+ equality,” the Federation of Gay Games said in a statement. The games are touted as the largest lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender global sports and cultural gathering. Participants do not have to be gay, organizers said. Homosexuality is not illegal in mainland China, but was regarded as a mental disorder until as recently as 2001. Many large cities have thriving gay scenes, but many gay individuals still face family and social pressure to marry and have children. The 2018 Gay Games will take place in Paris from August 4 to 12, featuring 36 sports, 14 cultural events, an academic conference, with up to 15,000 participants from 70 countries. The Gay Games was conceived by Tom Waddell, an Olympic decathlete, and was first held in San Francisco in 1982.

Uruguay's first transgender senator vows to bolster LGBT rights BOGOTA (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - Michelle Suarez, Uruguay’s first transgender senator, is already considered elderly. She has made it to 34 - a rarity in a country where transgender people tend to die young. A veteran trailblazer for LGBT rights, she helped draft a bill that legalized same-sex marriage in 2013 and became the first transgender person to go to university in Uruguay. Suarez has broken many barriers, yet it is perhaps her age that is the most salient part of her fight. Most transgender women in Uruguay, a small South American nation of 3.5 million people, don’t get to live that long. “In Uruguay, a citizen has a life expectancy of more than 70 years but trans women have a life expectancy of 35,” said Suarez, who took her seat in the senate this month. Put down by society and shunned by their families, many transgender people are forced to drop out of school and find it difficult to get a job and access health services. To survive, many end up on the streets as sex workers where they face violence, Suarez said. “Trans women sex workers are exposed to many situations of violence .. they face an enormous amount of aggression,” Suarez told the Thomson Reuters Foundation in a telephone interview. “All this means to be a woman, to be transgender - together with being poor and a sex worker - affects health and, in general, cuts life expectancy for trans women practically by half.”

Elite London gentleman's club bends its rules to accept a transgender woman LONDON (Thomson Reuters Foundation) - An exclusive London gentlemen’s club has defied its 150-year-old tradition as a male-only bastion by allowing a woman to join - but only because she was born a man. The Savile Club in swanky Mayfair in central London has never accepted women since it opened in 1868, but bent its rules after one of its existing members transitioned into a female. The club, which has seen the likes of novelists Robert Louis Stevenson and Rudyard Kipling walk through its doors, declined to comment on their decision. The move comes as a women-only college in Britain’s prestigious Cambridge University changed its admissions policy to accept transgender female students. The British government in July announced a reform of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) laws. It proposed changes to the Gender Recognition Act to allow gender reassignment surgery without a medical diagnosis of gender dysphoria, a mental health condition where someone’s gender identity does not match their physical body. The Lancet medical journal estimated in 2016 that there are about 25 million transgender people globally.

(Bad) Moms Know Best MILA KUNIS AND KRISTEN BELL TALK GAY BARS, ‘FROZEN’ DRAG AND WAITING TO MARRY UNTIL THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY COULD TOO BY CHRIS AZZOPARDI “Are there gays in Michigan? They made it all the way there?” deadpans Mila Kunis to native Michigander Kristen Bell, as if to jokingly say all the world’s queers migrated from her hometown of West Hollywood. Seated next to Kunis, 34, at a hotel conference room in The Peninsula Chicago, Bell, 37, replies plainly: “Well, yes.” “I grew up with them in my theater community,” adds Bell, who was raised in suburban Detroit. “When I was there it wasn’t talked about, which, when I left, I felt very conflicted about. I hope that it’s a thriving community now.” “You clearly did not grow up in West Hollywood!” Kunis retorts, after teasing Michigan gays that, “They should get out.” Though Bell and Kunis come from varying places on the gay geographical grid, their queer-aligned acting catalogues – Bell’s roles in Veronica Mars and Burlesque, alongside Cher, as well as Frozen, as the voice of Anna; Kunis’ red-hot sex scene with Natalie Portman in Black Swan and her role in 2007’s indie film After Sex, featuring Kunis getting fingered by actress Zoe Saldana – have certainly reached LGBTQ audiences from Michigan to West Hollywood, and beyond. The night before our hilariously revealing sit-down, Bell and Kunis were reaching a less-gay demographic: 700-ish drunk moms. The occasion? An advance screening for A Bad Moms Christmas, the sequel to 2016’s Bad Moms, which also stars Transparent fave Kathryn Hahn. To make the yuletide even gayer, Cheryl Hines, Christine Baranski and Susan Sarandon join the moms-gonewild gaggle, respectively playing the original trifecta’s mommies dearest. To talk about their raunchy new romp – more specifically, that hot taint-waxing scene featuring This Is Us actor Justin Hartley in, to many gay men, a very familiar position – LGBTQ allies Kunis and Bell met with me on a recent afternoon, looking more like glam moms than bad moms. But when the conversation turned to a diverse range of other topics – how Kunis wouldn’t be married to husband Ashton Kutcher if it weren’t for the legalization of samesex marriage, and, for Bell, the satisfaction of knowing that queer Disney diehards dress up as Anna at gay parades – the bad-mom duo demonstrated what it means to be a good mom too. Mila, as someone who grew up in West Hollywood, you’ve been immersed in the gay community for a long time. Mila Kunis: I do love me some gays. 38 • LIVING OUT

When’s the last time you went “bad mom” at a gay bar? Kunis: Oh, it’s been a while. Micky’s (in West Hollywood) hadn’t burned down yet, and I used to go because I lived down the street, on Kings Road. I mean, Fubar, Micky’s, but before Micky’s burned down. But then it became hip. It was weird. I used to go out to gay bars because I lived in West Hollywood and it was always really easy, like the Abbey. But then when the gays became popular and “in” and fashionable, so did the bars, and it became very hip to go to gay bars. That made me crazy, because I was like, “This is not my intent. I just wanna go and dance to some fucking Madonna. I don’t care that it’s gay.” But it became very hip in LA to be the girl at the gay bar. Kristen Bell: You invented the girl at the gay bar! Kristen, have you been the girl at the gay bar too? Kunis: Every girl in LA has. Bell: Yes, but not in a very long time – regretfully a very long. I went to college in New York and went to a ton of gay bars in college. The last time I remember (going to a gay bar) was when my best friend and I, before I had kids - probably six years ago – were sitting on the couch one night. history, being gay was always considered a challenge because, “You chose that, right?” That’s what the world said. And so, I think when they watch women on film who embrace imperfections and embrace challenges and overcome them, and empower themselves and do the opposite of what society tells them to do, they gravitate toward that. To this day, my friends who are gay will always gravitate toward a woman who empowers her strengths and weaknesses. You both have made major statements about the gay community throughout your career, and Kristen, you even went as far as to not marry Dax until same-sex marriage was legalized. Bell: Bet your ass. Kunis: (Looks to Bell, surprised) Bell: Yeah, we didn’t get married until same-sex marriage was legal. Kunis: Neither did I! Bell: You didn’t? Kunis: No, my dad talked about it on my wedding day. His whole speech was about when I was 14, I told my parents I’m never getting married and they were like, “OK, let’s talk about this.” I was like, “I’m not getting married because the gays can’t get married, and so I’m never getting married.” Never thinking that the gays were ever gonna get married! So, I was just like, “It is what it is.” Bell: It just felt gross. What are we gonna do? Have a party and be like, “Look at us celebrating this thing you can’t do?” That’s fucking putrid. Like, 90 percent of our friends are gay! 40

Kunis: I didn’t have that much awareness at 14. I don’t know what it was. Bell: But you knew instinctually. You knew it felt gross, and it did feel gross. Kunis: It just didn’t feel equal, so why would I? It just didn’t feel like it made sense to me. The concept of marriage didn’t make sense to me because my friends couldn’t do it, and I found nothing wrong with what they wanted. So, I was like, “Well, then it’s not sacred, then it’s not what it’s supposed to be, so I don’t want it.” Then when marriage became legal, the second that it happened I was doing a stunt in London. I was 35 feet in the air and I got a text from my roommate who was married to his husband now of 19 years in London. So they lived a life where they couldn’t be together for six years because marriage wasn’t technically legal, federally speaking, so they were a cross-continental couple. It was the saddest fucking story ever. So, I got a text that said it was legal, and I’m in the middle of a stunt and there’s fire blowing everywhere, and I just start bawling – literally bawling. Because something that I thought was never gonna happen – ever! – happened. The next text was my husband and he was like, “Now what?” And I went, “OK.” “OK,” as in we can get married now? Kunis: Yes. I didn’t know that about you, Mila. Kunis: I never said it, but then hearing that (about Kristen), I was

like, “Fuck it. If you’re saying it, then I’ll fucking say it.” Bell: I remember (Dax and I) watched the DOMA reading. It was 7:30 in the morning and he was on the East Coast and I was on the West Coast, and at 7:31 I proposed to him on Twitter to make a fucking point of it. To be like, “Now it’s OK, but before, it was not cool.” I love that your men were on the same page about waiting to marry till everyone could marry too. Kunis: My husband’s assistant is a gay guy. Bell: My husband is the most masculine pro-gay man that you would ever meet. Kunis: I married a gay man! (Laughs) Bell: In high school (Dax) would snuggle and spoon with his best friend and his mom would walk into the living room and be like, “Well, OK, anytime you want to talk...,” thinking, like, is this opening the door to something? And he was like, “No, I like snuggling! He’s my best friend!” And they would just be spooning. Kunis: Awwww! (Laughs) Bell: He’s so open. Wait, is cuddling gay? Bell: (Laughs) No, but you have to be very, very open and aware and sensitive to snuggle another man, straight or gay, as a guy.

Even More Solos and Sides With the release of her debut solo disc Change (Kill Rock Stars), Cindy Wilson is now the third member of the legendary B-52s to record a solo album. Fred Schneider led the pack way back in 1984 with an album that didn’t drift too far from the B-52’s path. Schneider changed all that with the punk assault of 1996’s Just Fred. Kate Pierson followed suit almost 20 years later with 2015’s Guitars and Microphones, displaying another side to singer/songwriter. All of this is to say that you shouldn’t expect to hear the Cindy Wilson you remember from B-52s’ songs such as “Give Me Back My Man”, “Girl From Ipanema Goes to Greenland”, “Legal Tender” or “Love Shack”, on Change. Closer in mood to the subtle soul drama of “Ain’t It a Shame” (from 1986’s underrated B-52s platter Bouncing Off the Satellites), the songs on Change introduce us to a more soft-spoken Wilson who sings these 10 songs (two of which are covers) in a breathy belt. The disc opens with “People Are Asking”, a potential activist anthem if there ever was one. Wilson, who has an appreciation for a good beat, invites us to “dance this mess around” again on “No One Can Tell You”, “Stand Back Time”, “Mystic”, “Memory” and the title track. Wilson takes an unexpected experimental rock turn on “Brother”, her interpretation of a song by Athens, Georgia band Oh-OK. Even if you don’t consider yourself to be a Led Zeppelin fan, there’s no denying that the band’s former lead vocalist Robert Plant has had a fascinating solo career. His first two albums were well-received and are still highly regarded to this day. A late-career collaboration album with Alison Krauss, 2007’s Grammy Award-winning Raising Sand, marked a new creative period for Plant, including 2014’s excellent lullaby and…The Ceaseless Roar. Plant’s new album Carry Fire (Nonesuch) finds him once again working with his band the Sensational Space Shifters, and features guest appearances by Chrissie Hynde (vocals on “Bluebirds Over the Mountain”) and Seth Lakeman (the title cut and others). Songs such as “Carving Up The World Again…a wall and not a fence”, “New World…”, “Bones of Saints” find Plant making political statements, while most of the remaining tunes (including “Dance With You Tonight”) can best be described as heartfelt love songs. Collaboration is key on several new releases. Lotta Sea Lice (Matador) is an album by out singer/ songwriter Courtney Barnett (2015’s acclaimed Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit.) and ex-War On Drugs guitarist Kurt Vile. Compared to previous efforts by each artist, the disappointing album feels so low energy as to almost be sleep-inducing. Part of the problem is the similar quality of their voices (although Barnett’s is more expressive). Songs such as “Over Everything”, “Blue Cheese”, “Continental Breakfast” and “Peepin’ Tom” prevent the album from being a total loss.

Filthy Friends is the kind of band they used to call a supergroup. Corin Tucker (Sleater-Kinney), Peter Buck (R.E.M.), Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5), Bill Rieflin (King Crimson) and Kurt Bloch (The Fastbacks) teamed up to form and record an album, Invitation (Kill Rock Stars) as Filthy Friends. As it was when she sang lead on Sleater-Kinney songs, it’s Tucker’s distinctive voice that steals the focus here on songs including “Faded Afternoon”, the R.E.M.-esque “Any Kind of Crowd”, “No Forgotten Son” and “Makers”. Karen and Ryan Hover, formerly of Candy Claws, are joined by Jacob Graham (ex-The Drums), along with Ben Phelan and Derrick Bozich, to form the new band Sound of Ceres. The Twin (Joyful Noise), the second album from Sound of Ceres, is a dream pop reverie, combing influences ranging from Cocteau Twins to Air. The aptly titled “The Trance”, as well as “Mercury’s Moods” and “Solar Mirror 9”, could keep listeners busy on the dance floor in the threeminute range. Mostly, however, languorous songs such as “Humaniora”, “Gemini Scenic” and “Eden V” sound like their meant to be listened to going into or coming out of an altered state of being. Virtual/animated group Gorillaz, led by Blur’s Damon Albarn, returns after seven years with Humanz (WB/Parlophone), one of its most dance-oriented albums. Potential club-bangers including “Strobelite” (featuring Peven Everett), “Momentz” (featuring De La Soul), “Andromeda” (featuring D.R.A.M.), “Sex Murder Party” (featuring Jamie Principle and Zebra Katz) and the Prince-ly “We Got The Power” (featuring Jehnny Beth and Noel Gallagher), definitely have the potential to expand Gorillaz’ audience. Collaborations with Grace Jones (“Charger”) and Mavis Staples (“Let Me Out”) don’t hurt either. More than 20 years ago, electronic music legend Moby detoured into full-fledged rock music on Animal Rights. The trip was short-lived, although Moby continued to incorporate rock elements into his music (see “South Side”). It’s likely that the politically-minded Moby thought he could get his message across in a harder rocking format, and that given the state of things, there aren’t many reasons to dance. The 2016 debut album by Moby & The Void Pacific Choir was titled These Systems Are Failing, and the second album More Songs About the Apocalypse (Mute) maintains the mood on songs such as “All The Hurts We Made”, “Trust”, “If Only A Correction of All We’ve Been”, “Happy Song”, and even the more dance-oriented “In This Cold Place”. Also keep in mind Clara Obscura (Lollipop) by The Relationship (led by Brian Bell of Weezer), the band’s second album and first in seven years, and Gargoyle (PIAS/ Heavenly) the fourth album by Mark Lanegan Band led by Mark Lanegan of Screaming Trees fame.
