What I Think About My Major To the best of my belief, urban design is a practical and complicated subject that integrates scientific and artistic methods to create a beautiful outdoor living surrounding for people. Thus, during my undergraduate study at Beijing Forestry University,I put great emphasis on systematic training to develop my skills from all aspects and on-site involvement to apply what taught in class to practical work. While these practical works bestowed me experiences and expertise I had never got before, I further realized that with the advancement of science and technology, UD could play a more significant role in our lives by combining more new technologies and materials. DESIGN BRIEF:
Butterfly Adult
Every year, monarch butterfly flies up to 2,500 miles from its breeding grounds in the US and Canada, all the way down to its hibernation grounds in central Mexico and the coast of central and southern California . However, in the past 20 years, due to climate change and urban expansion, the number of monarch butterflies is becoming less and less.I try to reconstruct the landscape and urban life by combining the relationship bet ween the monarch butterflies and people. It will be better if people can be educated by experienceing the joy of living in harmony between humans and animals in the process.
5.5 mph 6-8 mph
There are two distinct populations of monarch butterflies in the U.S.——those living east of the Rockies and those living to the west. While those living to the east typically migrate to Mexico for the winter, those living to the west migrate to the coast of central and southern California.
Development Timeline The phenomenon of butterfly migration was first definitively reported in 1857.

NUMBER
The industrial revolution promoted the urbanization process of the U.S. As it is occupied most of the land for production activities, the habitats of the monarch butterfly have destroyed which caused its death in large numbers.

Contradiction between Men and Butterflies Reduction of Dense forest
Poor integration of natural education and environment
Children have no place for nature education.
The destruction of the forest made the butterfly lack a place to live in the winter.
Disturbance of Human and Overlap of Activity Spaces
It is difficult to attract butterflies and other insects in the planting method of the city. And it is hard for people to feel the nature.
People's unplanned viewing activities disrupted the hibernation of butterflies.
Insecticide Abusement
Insecticides can directly kill butterflies.
Few types of viewing activities People lacks interests in watching butterflies, which makes it a little difficult for the tourism industry to form a distinctive feature.
Poor City Vitality
Less Use of Urban Native Plants
Urban exotic plants have poor adapt -ability and high mortality; Milkweed and other native plants have a strong landscape and high survival rate after being cultivated.
Poor Landscape of Traffic
Bicycle lanes and landscape trails are poor in landscape and also lack opportunities for people to interact with nature and living creature.
Absence of milkweeds Discontinuous of Green Space
Butterflies can't get food wand shelters continuously.
Mowed Lawn
Because of the occupation of farmland, the natural milkweed is reduced; As It's onecrop farming, there is little nectar except the blooming period.
The construction of mowed lawn destroyed the habitat of monarch butterflies.
Poor Urban Connectivity
People seldom go to agricultural areas, and the functions of agricultural areas are single, which made farmers squeezed out and forgotten by cities.
High Mortality Rate of The Traffic
If the moanrch butterfly cannot find a shaded shelter on the highway , it may easily be killed by a vehicle or bicycle.

DESIGN BRIEF: According
to the regional environment,we take ecology, functionality, and safety conditions into account, combined with current vegetarian, water conservancy conditions and riverside reconstruction, in order to form a natural and distinctive waterfront landscape. A Research For Basic Urban Conditions

The site was selected in the coastal area in the severe earthquake zone in Padong, hoping to help Padong reduce the impact of natural disasters to a certain extent through the intervention of ec ology, transportation, facility, etc.I used resilient landscape design to let the communities recover more quickly from extreme disasters. When disasters have overwhelmed traditional and built systems, adaptive multi-level systems which can sustain critical functions are the most cost-effective and viable solution.

Create rain gardens in cities for daily rainwater storage and drainage after a tsunami.
Preserve the original marshes and wetlands, and plant anti-pollution plants to purify the wetlands.
Reconstruct the terrain, and select trees with deeper roots to plant shelter -belts to protect against tsunamis.
Make ecological revetment and plant aquatic plants.
Place cell balls on the shore for functions, and set bridges and plank roads for people to pass and visit.
Plant Street trees in residential areas, and create parks with good greening.
Use computer to simulate the possible direction of the tsunami.
Create sea walkroads to see and walk through mangroves to get up close to wildlife.
Create accessible roads for people to travel quickly.
Lay plank roads, establish fast access roads, and build shelterbelts on the coast.
Build scattered islands and restore mangrove plantations.
Scatter the cell balls as the infrastructure before the disaster and as material storage after the disaster.
Connect various ecological islands and design different scenic spots for people to visit.
Restore mangroves in shallow sea areas to form green barriers with good landscape.
Place cell balls as infrastructure for temporary use by tourists and as a realtime control system.

Temporary Community After The Tsunami
When a tsunami occurs, the device is automatically turned on to save people which leaves the ruins and heads to the sea or other open spaces.
Next the device is close to the fixed device containing the material for emergency rescue and material acquisition.

Workshop-Flower Border Design 2021.06
Artistic Conception Extraction When night comes, I stand on the steps and listen Stars warm in the yard And I stand in the dark. Listen, a star fell with a clang! Don't go out in the grass with bare feet; My yard is full of shards. ----<The stars> Edith Irene Södergran From the poem, we extracted the two intentions of "night color" and "star" as the entry point for the creation of the flower border. The main color of the flower border was set as the contrasting color of bluepurple and yellow-orange, with blue and purple as the main color, dotted with stars and dots. The elegant yellow-orange color symbolizes the garden under the night curtain and the fragments of stars scattered in the garden. It is lively in the quiet.
