Studio Brief Title: Brief 5: Amass Bath and Beauty Synopsis: A collaboration between myself and Emma Johnson, Amass Bath and Beauty is a travel inspired bath product range that is aimed at a luxury female market, with a similar ethos and audience to that of Anthropologie and Free People. The products feature botanical ingredients sourced from 6 different travel destinations: Morocco, Japan, Thailand, India, Mexico and Italy. List of deliverables

I will blog this under the module codes ‘OUGD603’, ‘OUGD603: Design Practice’, ‘Brief 5: Amass’ and ‘Brief 5: Context’. I will produce packaging for a range of bath products, as well as a logo and identity for the brand.
Evaluation: The strength of this brief has been the concept and the execution of the concept throughout our travel inspired products: each product and format has been driven by travel, such as the postcards as business cards, the luggage tags as labels and the passport stamps as botanical ingredient stamps. I also enjoyed working on the logo and feel this is both visually and conceptually strong, as it was inspired by travel compass imagery and the shapes and shading they contain. The main weakness for this brief has been the time management, which has meant that certain ideas that could have been pushed further and extended have not been, which has left me feeling disappointed as we originally had so many ideas and intentions for this brief that have not come to fruition. I also feel that the design elements work separately but maybe do not come together as successfully as they could have done, which is due to a lack of time discussing and moving forward with ideas. If I could complete this brief again, I would want more time dedicated to extending and pushing the brief further and perhaps a more cohesive range of products.
