As a leading nonprofit 501(c)(3) for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility, the Y works side-by-side with our neighbors every day to make sure that everyone–regardless of age, income, or background, has the opportunity to take part in holistic wellness. When you support the Y, you help bring about lasting personal and social change.
YMCA ANNUAL FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
The Y’s core mission has always been about serving children and empowering them to grow stronger. Whether it’s being involved in one of our safe child care programs, experiencing the magic of Camp Kitaki, or signing up for their first swim lesson, everything we do helps strengthen our neighborhoods and the youth who live there. With a gift to the Y’s Annual Fundraising Campaign, you will ensure that financial limitations are not a barrier for any child wanting to experience the YMCA. Give today at ymcalincoln.org/give.

MEMBERSHIP KEYCARD
Each Adult Y Member (and youth over age 9) will receive a membership keycard to scan at the Front Desk each time they visit any YMCA of Lincoln facility. For memberships purchased online, please bring a valid photo ID with you to your initial visit and a keycard will be issued. You may use your smartphone as your keycard if you wish. To do this, take a photo of your barcode and scan the photo when you enter or download a key tag app.
MEMBERSHIP USAGE REPORTS
With the Y’s online software, it’s easy to view and print your member check-in reports.
Here’s how:
• Go to ymcalincoln.org and click on the “My Account” button on the top right of the screen.
• Sign in using your email address on your account and your password.
• Click on “View Details” of your membership package.
• Your usage will show the current month and the previous three months.
You may also visit any Front Desk next time you’re at the facility to have a check-in report generated for you.
NATIONWIDE MEMBERSHIP
Nationwide Membership enables you to visit any participating Y in the United States through membership at your “Home” YMCA (your home location is the facility that enrolled you as a member and that collects your membership dues). Not all services may be offered to Nationwide members (for example, outdoor pools and child watch). To be eligible for Nationwide Membership, you must have an active membership and present a valid photo ID or membership card. On average, at least 50% of your monthly visits must be to your Home YMCA. Additionally, if you are a college student you will need to join the YMCA where your usage is 50% or greater. Nationwide Membership is based on individual usage, not the family unit. For additional guidelines, visit ymcalincoln.org. As a Lincoln YMCA Member, we encourage you to contact the facility you wish to visit for further details and any restrictions.
VOTING MEMBERS
Voting members of the Association shall be comprised of members and sustaining members, eighteen years of age or over, whose membership and program fees are paid.
MEMBERSHIP CHANGE & CANCELLATION REQUESTS
To add or remove individuals from your membership or to change membership type, please stop by the Front Desk to complete a Change Request Form. Upgrades will take effect immediately and downgrades will take effect on the 1st of the month following notification. To cancel your membership, please complete a Membership Cancellation Form at the Front Desk at least five business days prior to the end of the month. Please note any Joiner Fee may apply upon reactivation of membership. Members with a monthly membership can place their membership on hold for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three consecutive months in a one-year period.
OPEN DOORS FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Anyone is welcome to apply for the Open Doors Financial Assistance program which is supported in part by our YMCA Annual Fundraising Campaign. The amount of assistance granted is based on the application process and review of the required documentation provided by the applicant. While our Open Doors program reduces fees, it does not eliminate them entirely. The Y believes a strong sense of ownership and pride is developed when our recipients contribute to the cost of their YMCA involvement.
Apply online at ymcalincoln.org/opendoors.
MEMBERSHIP & PROGRAM INFO
PROGRAM CHANGE REQUESTS
Please refer to the registration receipt for details on changes, cancellations and/or refunds for the particular program.
UPDATING PAYMENT METHOD
You may update your credit/debit card or checking/savings account information for membership renewals through your online ActiveNet account or at any Lincoln YMCA Front Desk at any time prior to the 1st of the month. LOCKER FEES
The Northeast and Cooper Ys offer lockers for rent for a monthly fee. Please ask the Front Desk for more details.
CAREGIVER PASS
The YMCA offers Caregiver Passes for families who rely on the support of outside-the-family Caregivers. Households and Caregivers must first complete and sign our Caregiver Pass Policy. Once the Caregiver Pass has been issued, the pass holder may visit the Y at any time in the company of the dependent(s) in a supervisory capacity. While at the Y, Caregivers must be with the dependents they are supervising at all times. Please note that the Caregiver Pass does not constitute a membership and holders are not entitled to the benefits of YMCA membership.
NANNY PASS
The Nanny Agreement provides that the designated individual, 16 years of age or older, may be considered a Nanny on a membership for an additional $20 monthly fee (the fee must be drafted one time before the Nanny Pass can be canceled) or a $60 quarterly fee (the fee must be paid in full before the Nanny Pass is effective). The Nanny Agreement is linked to the Family/Household membership. Account holders have the option to pay a monthly fee of $20.00 when adding the Nanny to the account and the monthly fee will be charged until you give written notice that you would like to end the agreement prior to the first day of the desired month change; or the option to make a one-time payment of $60.00 to add the Nanny to the account for 90 days from date of purchase. The Nanny must be able to abide by the Youth Policy of the YMCA location they are using, remain in the presence of one or more children at all times, and provide a valid photo ID as verification when the children check in. Please note that the Nanny Pass does not constitute a membership and holders are not entitled to the benefits of YMCA membership.
DAY PASS
Day Pass fees have been established for individuals who wish to participate in YMCA activities or use the facilities for one day. Day Pass fees allow access to all Lincoln YMCAs for the duration of day purchased. Day Passes are only available to those who do not have a current or past due balance on their Y account. Valid photo ID is required.

As an adult (age 19 or older) member of the YMCA of Lincoln, you are welcome to bring a guest (1 guest: 1 Lincoln Y member ratio). SERVICE ANIMAL POLICY
Persons with disabilities are permitted to have service animals on the premises of the YMCA if such animals are required in order for the person with the disability to participate in the YMCA’s programs, facilities or activities.

∘ What specific work or tasks is this animal trained to perform?
• All service animals must be on a leash at all times, unless impracticable or infeasible due to the owner/keeper’s disability.

• The owner/keeper of a service animal must clean-up the animal’s waste and dispose of it properly.
• An individual with a service animal will be asked to remove his service animal from the premises if: (1) the animal is out of control and the owner/keeper does not take effective action to control it; or (2) the animal poses a directs threat to the health or safety of others.
REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION POLICY
The YMCA of Lincoln, Nebraska, is committed to ensuring that its policies and procedures lawfully enable individuals with disabilities the opportunity to participate in and benefit from its programs and facilities, and the YMCA will not otherwise discriminate against individuals with disabilities in connection with its operations. Therefore, if an individual with a disability requests a reasonable accommodation, the YMCA will provide one unless doing so would result in an undue burden on the YMCA or would require a fundamental alteration in the nature of the program or service being offered.
A “person with a disability” means an individual who has a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits one or more major life activities. A “reasonable accommodation” is a change, modification, or adaptation in a policy, procedure, practice, program, or facility that provides a qualified individual with a disability the opportunity to participate in or benefit from a program or activity, and providing such does not result in an undue burden on the YMCA or a fundamental alteration in the nature of the program or service being offered.
Members, program participants, or their parents/guardians may submit reasonable accommodation requests in writing, orally, or by any other effective means of communication. All requests for reasonable accommodation will be forwarded to the Executive of the YMCA facility where the request is made. If additional information or documentation is required, the YMCA Executive or another employee on the Executive’s behalf will notify the person seeking the accommodation of the need for such additional information or documentation.
Upon receipt of the request and any supporting documentation, the YMCA will provide written notification of its decision to approve or disapprove the request. If the accommodation is denied, the person submitting the request will be notified of the reasons for denial.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Following with our values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility as a guide, the Y’s Code of Conduct ensures that all who enter our facilities and participate in our programs enjoy a safe, welcoming, and comfortable environment. We ask individuals to act in a manner that upholds these values at all times when they are in our facilities or participating in Y programs. The safety and protection of Y members, program participants, and guests is a paramount concern of the YMCA of Lincoln, therefore, we reserve the right to deny access or membership to any person.
The following list is illustrative and not intended to include every type of conduct that is prohibited. At their discretion, YMCA staff may define what is considered inappropriate behavior in determination of an individual’s access or member’s suspension or termination.
• Making physical contact with another person in any angry or threatening way
• Engaging in sexual activity or inappropriate contact with another person
• Harassing or intimidating by words, gestures, body language, or any other menacing behavior

• Registered sex offenders or any other crime against a child

• Making threats against another individual
Members, program participants, and guests are encouraged to be responsible for their personal comfort and safety. If any person exhibits behavior which threatens another person’s comfort or safety, the behavior should be reported to a YMCA staff person. Please do not hesitate to notify a staff person if assistance is needed. In order to be able to carry out these policies, we ask that members, program participants, and guests identify themselves to staff when asked. The Y investigates all reported incidents.
