Q: “I moved into my new acreage property and have been told there is an easement on my property, when the searches were done I was not made aware of the easement. What can I do?” Ron Wearmouth, Pacific Pines. A: The vendor is liable to disclose all title encumbrances on the contract. If there is an easement you may have had a right to terminate the contract but you would have had to exercise that right prior to settlement. You may still be entitled to damages.
