The company was founded in October 2022 and is at the early stages with the debut collection being released in January 2023. To celebrate the opening, we have released an interactive POD collection, the first of its kind. Where did the idea come from? We live in a fast-paced world where quantity is often more valued than quality. We shop for mass produced clothes and originality is almost hard to catch. The Morell brand is here to challenge that way of thinking and making clothes. We still believe in original thinkers. Currently, how many people work for the business? The brand is still a one person show but excited to grow in the upcoming year.
What are your company values? The Morell brand stands for diversity, strangeness, and resistance to modern standards and norms. Which is why there is ohm in the logo, as it is the SI derived unit of electrical resistance. We challenge fashion and always look for ways to innovate and bring positive change. Our goal is to create more originality in the fashion industry by bringing back the values of unique and handmade pieces, custom designs, and made-tomeasure clothing available to all. What advice would you give to someone who wants to start a business? Don't overthink it. Just start— you'll figure it out along the way. Where do you hope the company will be in 5 years time? Wow! I would love to see it impacting the fashion industry in a positive way, merging art and fashion and expanding to a global market.
