LORAS COLLEGE MEN’S BASKETBALL SATURDAY, JANUARY 10 • CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA • 4:00 PM
ABOUT COE ...
The Kohawks have hopes of moving their win streak to three, when they welcome the Duhawks to town on Saturday. Coe is coming off of a convincing Iowa Conference win over Simpson (66-44) on Wednesday. Despite the loss of All-Conference guard Andrew Wirth from a season ago, Coe has relied on senior JT Vonderhaar and junior Jacob Timm. Vonderhaar takes care of business in the trenches, leading the team in points per game (13.9) and is tied for second with 4.8 rebounds per game. Timm’s charged with the task of facilitating the offense, a role he has excelled in throughout the season. He leads the team with 70 assists while committing just 15 turnovers. Defensive adjustments will be vital for the Duhawks to have success on Saturday.

LAST SEASON’S MATCHUPS ... LORAS VS. COE
WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2014 • DUBUQUE, IOWA A season-high 10 players scored in the first half for the Duhawks, giving them a 50-29 DUHAWKS lead going into halftime.
94 KOHAWKS
65
In the second half, Loras kept the pressure on the Kohawks forcing four turnovers and outscoring them 44-36 behind the hot shooting of Bobby Harmening. The 94-65 victory proved as a nice bounce back for the men as they had lost in the previous week to Buena Vista. Loras’ 67.3 percent shooting from the floor was the highest in an Iowa Conference game since 2009.

LORAS VS. COE SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2014 • CEDAR RAPIDS, IOWA On the height of a three-game winning streak in the Iowa Conference, the Duhawks jumped to a large lead in the first half, 38-26. Alex Cline hit four three-point shots to lead all scorers with 12 points at the break. Unfortunately for the Kohawks, a strong second half by Lincoln Vorba and their 49-44 second half performance was not enough to overcome the Duhawks hot offense.
