ABOUT UW-PLATTEVILLE

The Pioneers come into the season after finishing fifth in the WIAC. A trio of seniors return, looking to pace UW-Platteville in this season. At forward, the Pioneers return Stacy Clark and Alyssa Krajco. Clark led UW-Platteville in field goal percentage (.538), three-point percentage (.500), offensive rebounds (2.6), and blocks (16). In Krajco, the Pioneers return their top scorer (17 points per game) and rebounder (7.4 per game) from a season ago. Rounding out the trio of seniors is guard Rachel Cropp, the Pioneers top threat from behind the arc. Cropp boast a .463 shooting percentage from deep.

In last year’s meeting, Loras won 65-51. Krajco led the Pioneers in the game with 15 points while Clark added 13.

ABOUT EDGEWOOD

The Eagles return their leading scorer, senior Mariah Hill (13.0 ppg), primed to make a run at a conference title. Joining Hill in double figures is junior Rachel Pope who averaged 10.8 points last season. The dynamic duo at the guard position will be looked to as the main facilitators as well as the team’s top scoring threats. Senior Courtney Spangler anchors the paint as the team’s top option in the post. Spangler averaged 9.0 points for the Eagles while averaging a team-best 6.1 rebounds. Loras earned the win in last year’s meeting, 80-67. Cabrera and Obendorf has 13 points each for the Duhawks while Pope led all scorers with 29 points.
