at the Rock Bowl by a score of 22-20. Senior defensive back Mike Canevello totaled nine tackles with three and a half tackles for a loss on the afternoon. Along with Tucker Brady and Dave Pirkle, the trio of senior defensive backs were constantly wreaking havoc in the Luther backfield. Coming into the game, Luther ranked third nationally in rush yards per game with nearly 350, but only managed 238 against the Duhawks.

108 total stops on the year, compared to 86 tackles in 2013. Through nine games this season Harridge ranks ninth nationally with 12 tackles per game. The Loras record for tackles in a season was set in 1981 by Mike McDermott with 158, and Kevin Rouse tops the list with 450 career stops. Harridge has accumulated 194 tackles in his first 19 collegiate games.

Senior wide receiver Nate Even now sits at three receptions and seven yards away from Kendall Griffin’s 1992 single season records. Last weekend Even snagged five receptions for 34 yards, making his season total 70 receptions for 1,131 yards. In all nine games this season, he has caught at least four passes in each game, with his lowest yardage total being last weekend against the Norse. The Duhawk offense will be tested this weekend against a Wartburg defense that ranks 13th nationally in total defense and seventh in scoring defense.

Through nine games this season, the Wartburg College Knights have proved to not only be the most dynamic team in the Iowa Conference, but also a Stagg Bowl contender. Coming into this weekend’s matchup, the Knights have a perfect 9-0 record and are ranked fifth in country according to d3football.com. Offensively, the Knights are led by junior quarterback Logan Schrader, who is completing 63.6 percent of his passes on the season and has thrown 24 touchdowns, as opposed to only five interceptions. His favorite target is senior Taylor Jacobsmeier, who has caught 48 passes for 857 yards and seven touchdowns. The ground game is paced by junior Brandon Domeyer, who has racked up 766 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Knight defense ranks across the board as one of the best in the country, and is led by junior linebacker Gunner Tranel, who has made 94 total tackles on the season, as well as two sacks. Not far behind him fellow linebacker Will Janssen, who has made 68 tackles and picked off two passes, along with three sacks. Overall, the Wartburg defense has only given up 95 points in nine games.
