DUHAWKS CRUISE WITH 3-0 WIN OVER ST. OLAF…
Early goals by Loras put the game out of reach from the start as they cruised to a 3-nil victory over St. Olaf on Saturday, September 13. Freshman Maura Walsh TBA netted her third game-winner of the year in the 21’ to spring the Duhawks to the TBA TBA road victory. Coming off a disappointing 3-1 defeat in midweek play to Carthage, Loras hoped
TBA that a change of scenery would help them get back on winning terms. Walsh TBA made sure of that, finishing the setup from junior Claire Murphy for the first goal TBA of the match in the 21’.
WILSON PERFORMING UNDER PRESSURE...
Although the Duhawks’ record has not shown it, Senior goalkeeper Hannah WIlson has performed well under the tough pressure she has received from opponents early in the season. Wilson has netted 700 minutes in Loras’ first eight games. In those games, she has been tested with 117 shots and made 53 saves resulting in a 0.828 save percentage.

WOMEN’S SOCCER SWAMPED BY LADY REDS...
The seesaw start to the season continued for the Duhawks on Wednesday night as they fell on the road to Carthage, 3-1. Scoring for Loras in the loss was junior Katie Truesdale in the 22’. A cool and damp evening set the scene for the Duhawks on Wednesday for their non-conference matchup with Carthage College. In the early goings of the 2014 season, Loras has failed to win more than one game in a row. After Sunday’s 2-1 victory over Augustana, the women hoped to turn the tides, but it simply was not in the cards.
LORAS FALLS OUT OF TOP 25 …
After the Duhawks lost two of three games last week, they fell out of the top 25 rankings for both NSCAA and D3Soccer.com. Loras has struggled early in the season to find a consistent offensive pressure which has resulted in an unsatisfying record of 4-4 for the Duhawks. The relatively young team will be tested as the season progresses to try and find their way back into the top 25. In recent history, the Duhawks have not started their season with as many losses as they have in 2014. In 2013, the team lost 4 games throughout the entirety of their season.
