UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE QUAD - DUBUQUE, IOWA
back from 14-10 down in the final set. Three errors from the Dutch and a big kill
This comeback was largely due in part to the timeout called by Head Coach Jenna Ness after the team went down 13-10. This timeout provided the team time to L, 3-2 W, 3-0 regroup and buckle down in order to complete the comeback. W, 3-0 L, 3-1
The Duhawks had no easy road to the conference tournament this season, needing to win at home in either 3 or 4 sets against University of Dubuque in order to keep their season alive. Jenna Ness and her squad came out strong in this L, 3-0 one as the Duhawks quickly took the first two sets (25-20, and 25-13). UD took L, 3-0 the third set (25-19) which left just one set left for the Duhawks to earn a spot in the conference tournament. Despite an early lead for UD in the decisive fourth L, 3-1 set, Loras battled back to win (25-18) behind a kill from junior Taylor Serrano and an ace from sophomore Jenna Erickson and earn the fifth seed in the Iowa Conference Tournament. At the Loras Invite, junior Kara Kentner tied the Loras record for hitting percentage
L, 3-0 in a game. Last season, Danni Kennedy hit an identifcal 14 kills in 16 attacks for W, 3-2 L, 3-2 the .875 percentage. That mark edges out Brittney Westermeyer who hit .733 W, 3-2 against Ripon in the 2010 season.
