As representatives of the Italian managers, we believe that the collaboration with the companies that produce attractions is indispensable. Production and management of attractions are bound, because the new products and upgrading of existing attractions are essential elements for the development of this business. The fair is also a moment of meeting between entrepreneurs, very useful and pleasant, and an opportunity for new meetings and networking between professionals. IAAPA Expo Europe will offer a chance to visit the booths and to know the best novelties of the sector, during the largest European event compared to previous editions.

NEWS FROM NOTIZIE DA ANTONIO ZAMPERLA ANTONIO ZAMPERLA he big news for the company in 2019 will be
T
FICO, the largest agri-food park in the world which is based in Bologna, Italy. This project represents the return of the company to park management in Italy, after the great success of Luna Park in Coney Island and Victorian Gardens in New York City. The project, to be entirely made by Zamperla, will be built within FICO and will be an indoor theme Family Entertainment Centre (FEC). Specifically targeted for children and families, guests will enter the FEC from the back of a farmhouse and find themselves in a typical Italian farm. Instead of farming equipment though, families will find 12 rides. Zamperla itself will operate and manage the park once it opens to the public by late Autumn 2019. In 2019 Zamperla Group will deliver more than 200 rides all round the world, almost the same as last year. Among these there will be 4 brand-new rides, two of them are installed in Luna Park at Coney Island: Nebulaz and Super Air Race. The last two rides we mentioned are Z-max in Finland, and Factory Coaster in China. The goals for the company in 2019 are to continue to grow in the roller coaster field and to be at the

a grande novità per l’azienda nel 2019 sarà FICO, il più grande parco agroalimentare del mondo con sede a Bologna, in Italia. Questo progetto rappresenta il ritorno dell’azienda nella gestione dei parchi in Italia, dopo il grande successo di Luna Park a Coney Island e Victorian Gardens a New York City. Il progetto, interamente realizzato da Zamperla, sarà realizzato all’interno di FICO e sarà un Family Entertainment Center (FEC) a tema. Specificamente indirizzato a bambini e famiglie, gli ospiti entreranno nel FEC dal retro di una fattoria e si troveranno in una tipica fattoria italiana. Invece delle attrezzature agricole, le famiglie troveranno 12 giostre. Zamperla stessa opererà e gestirà il parco una volta che sarà aperto al pubblico entro l’autunno 2019. Nel 2019 il Gruppo Zamperla fornirà più di 200 giostre in tutto il mondo, quasi le stesse dell’anno scorso. Tra queste ci saranno 4 nuovissime attrazioni, due delle quali installate a Luna Park di Coney Island: Nebulaz e Super Air Race. Le ultime due giostre menzionate sono Z-max in Finlandia e Factory Coaster in Cina. Gli obiettivi per l’azienda nel 2019 sono di continuare a crescere nel campo delle montagne russe e di es-

The most important new project that Zamperla developed, which opened last July is the thrill coaster Thunderbolt at Masan Robotland in Korea. The best examples of family coasters are the company’s Factory Coaster, Super Twister Coaster and Junior Coaster and at the time of writing it was working on the delivery of the majestic Factory Coaster to Wanda Wuxi (China), a unique roller coaster due to its huge dimensions and special features. The two other coaster models, the Super Twister Coaster and Junior Coaster, which is one of the most popular Zamperla coasters, are both perfect for the whole family. Zamperla works hard to constantly improve every process involved in the creation of its rides and attractions and to come up with new products, always thinking about what new things it can do and how it can do existing things differently. ■

LA BALAUSTRA PER HOCKEY PISTA E PATTINAGGIO
Sport in safety he sporting practice belongs to those who express themselves with physical and intellectual characteristics in a special discipline, or even just for fun and entertainment, and they are normally far from knowing ad identifying whether or not the plant in which they find themselves is a safe one. Safety is placed in the hands of designers and maintenance technicians who often do not know in details the real operating conditions and the normative to be applied. The same Federation and CONI talk about “general conditions” and there is no specific rule to refer to. This has in fact generated a countless number of plants which do not have an adequate safety standard. The main element for hockey rink is certainly the rink itself. A perimeter edge that must contain the game actions, or limit the risk of accidents to the players, the employees or the public present in the sport activity as well as the action containing the game disk or ball. In the last few years track hockey has evolved and it is going to become more and more similar to ice hockey, where actions are often carried out in rink contrasts and consequently the bank is demanded with a new mechanical and ergonomic task.

Lo Sport in Sicurezza a pratica sportiva è di chi si esprime con le proprie caratteristiche fisiche e intellettive in una disciplina specialistica o anche solo per svago e divertimento ed è normalmente lontano dal conoscere e identificare se l’impianto in cui si trova è o meno sicuro. La sicurezza è posta nelle mani dei progettisti e dei manutentori che spesso non conoscono, in modo approfondito, le vere condizioni di esercizio ed i riferimenti normativi da applicare. La stessa Federazione ed il CONI indicano condizioni generiche e non compare una norma specifica a cui riferirsi. Questo ha di fatto generato una innumerevole quantità di impianti che non hanno un livello di sicurezza adeguato. L’elemento principale della pista per la pratica dell’HOCKEY è certamente la BALAUSTRA. Una sponda perimetrale che deve contenere le azioni di gioco, ovvero limitare i rischi di incidenti ai giocatori, agli addetti o al pubblico presente nell’ambito dell’attività sportiva, oltre all’azione di contenimento del dischetto o pallina da gioco. Negli ultimi anni l’HOCKEY PISTA si è evoluto e si avvia ad essere sempre più simile a quello su ghiaccio, dove le azioni spesso sono svolte in contrasti a balaustra e di conseguenza alla sponda si chiede un NUOVO compito meccanico ed ergonomico.

Black Orange S.r.L. wanted to design its own rinks for Hockey and skating with the utmost attention to security and quality of materials in order to guarantee durability and functionality. Supporting structure in iron tubular metal treated with sandblasting and oven painting with a choice of colors for correct furnishing insertion, or with final electro-galvanic treatment or hot-dip galvanizing. Vertical inside in transparent polycarbonate or translucent color with thickness from 5/6/8/10 millimeters. The inside is dimensioned to support a thrust equal to 120N/mt already with thickness of 5 millimeters. The polycarbonate used is a compact one with UV treatment on both sides. PEHD skirting board in a choice of colors amongst white, yellow, green or black with thickness of 15/20 millimeters.

2
2019 marks 25 years of activity of C. and S. srl which presents itself at the Parisian exhibition with a rather interesting range of products. At the top of the range of adult bumper cars we find the Twitty model, equipped with the shock-absorbing chassis that remains the hallmark of C. and S. srl production. New model presented here at IAAPA Europe is Viper, an entry-level car for adults, on a rigid chassis, which combines a modern and aggressive line with the latest technologies for a luminous decoration of considerable impact. Viper can be seen at the C. and S. stand, nr. 2336. If the production of tracks and bumper cars maintains its central role in the C. and S. production, the company is exploring different fields and setting up new products. From the experience made with battery-powered cars built for an important European park, cutting-edge attractions such as Italian Dream and Biking Around have been developed, available either with battery or sliding contacts. The new electronic virtual reality and interactive video-projection technologies have not been neglected. The first indoor track with interactive game that uses video projection or videomapping technologies will soon be installed while a second one is on the drawing board. The Bumparcade project stems from the collaboration with Z +, an emanation of Zamperla SpA for the application and exploitation of latest technologies. The traditional people moving systems for ghost trains are revised both from the mechanical and electronic point of view, combining them with virtual or augmented reality systems. The first project will start in a few months for delivery at the end of 2020. Among the projects of C. and S. there is also a return to the production of small roller coasters, started in the ninetys and then suspended to favor indoor tracks for bumper cars. ■

l 2019 segna i 25 anni di attività di C. and S. srl che si presenta alla esposizione parigina con un portafoglio prodotti piuttosto interessante. Al vertice della gamma di vetture autoscontro per adulti troviamo il modello Twitty, equipaggiato di telaio ammortizzato che resta il segno distintivo della produzione C. and S. srl. Nuovo modello presentato qui a IAAPA Europe è Viper, una vettura per adulti entry-level, su telaio rigido, che ad una linea moderna ed aggressiva unisce le ultime tecnologie per una decorazione luminosa di notevole impatto. Viper è visibile presso lo stand C. and S., nr. 2336. Se la produzione di piste e vetture autoscontro mantiene il suo ruolo centrale nella produzione C. and S., l’azienda sta esplorando campi diversi e mettendo in cantiere nuovi prodotti. Dall’esperienza fatta con le prime vetture a batteria realizzate per un importante parco europeo, sono state sviluppate attrazioni d’avanguardia come Italian Dream and Biking Around, disponibili sia con alimentazione a batteria che attraverso contatti striscianti. Le nuove tecnologie elettroniche di realtà virtuale e videoproiezione interattiva non sono state trascurate. Sarà presto installata la prima “Bumparcade”, pista autoscontro indoor con gioco interattivo che utilizza tecnologie di video proiezione o videomapping. Il progetto Bumparcade nasce dalla collaborazione con Z+, emanazione di Zamperla SpA per l’applicazione e lo sfruttamento delle tecnologie innovative. I tradizionali sistemi di movimentazione passeggeri per treni fantasma sono stati rivisitati sia dal punto di vista meccanico che elettronico abbinandoli a realtà virtuale od aumentata. Il primo progetto partirà tra pochi mesi per consegna alla fine del 2020. Tra i progetti di C. and S. c’è anche il ritorno alla produzione di piccoli ottovolanti, iniziata negli anni ’90 e poi sospesa per privilegiare le piste autoscontro indoor. ■

The game is really nice, taken from a famous application that can be downloaded on any smartphone and that refers to a classic exhibition of the equestrian circuses of the so-called “cannon man”. The aim of the game is simple: take aim and, pushing the lever downward, shoot the bizarre Willy from a cannon, trying to land it on the terrace of one of the surrounding buildings ... and winning as many tickets as possible. If you don’t succeed, Willy will fall to the ground ... but don’t worry: at the end, despite a leg or an arm in a cast, he is comforted laughing ... and ready to try again! If you are able to shoot Willy at the right time to land him in a particular building, you win the Bonus! Being a game of pure skill, the player will try to use all his knowledges to find the exact inclination of the cannon and the force with which to push the lever, so as not to make Willy slam against the walls of buildings or drop it into the void. Il gioco è davvero divertente, ripreso da una famosa applicazione che può essere scaricata su qualsiasi smartphone e che si riferisce alla classica esibizione dei circhi equestri del cosiddetto “uomo cannone”. Lo scopo del gioco è semplice: prendere la mira e, spingendo la leva verso il basso, sparare al bizzarro Willy da un cannone, cercando di farlo atterrare sulla terrazza di uno degli edifici circostanti ... e vincere il maggior numero possibile di tickets. The driving school version of the car includes accelerator, brake, reverse, lights, stop, turn signals, horn and safety belts. Another news concerning SELA driving school is the Driving Licence booth, allowing kids to print their own driving licence and park owners to customize the licenses with their venue logo. After practicing on the driving school track, kids can print from the booth their own driving licence including their names, birth date and photo. Un’altra nuova attrazione che verrà svelata è il Flying Dutchman, un nuovo progetto per le aperture del 2020, anch’esso interattivo in cui i passegegri possono navigare ondeggiando con la brezza, giocando con l’ala anteriore, prendendo velocità durante la rotazione dell’intera giostra e sollevandosi in aria a loro piacimento.
