WHAT IS CULTURAL HAVEN


WHAT IS CULTURAL HAVEN Culture:

Traditional Malay Architecture

( showcased through the cultural buildings)

and the park culture

( the diverse activity of the various people at the park )




RESIDENTIAL ZONES Residential zones accumulated together North of the lake.



INSTITUTIONAL AREA Institutional area located South of the lake with the significant cultural buildings in the centre forming a cultural hub within the zone

COARSE GRAIN With the coarse grain and large scale of buildings in the institutional district, the zone’s prominence is naturally improving its ( cultural buildings ) influence to the surrounding proximity

The opening of the ground plane to the public realm spaces within the building’s

circulation pushed to the exterior, allowing people to observe one another’s action, turning the building into an urban theatre.

Stairs platform brings crowd from ground level to the highest floor of the mall, acting as an extended public plaza where horizontal bonding exists.
