on the communicant's tongue, is called intinction. Communicants cannot do the dipping for two reasons: 1) the most recent version of the General Instruction on the Roman Missal doesn't give an option for communicants to dip the consecrated host; and 2) the Eucharist is supposed to be received from another person. Recovering alcoholics and people who prefer to receive Communion in their hands don't like intinction, and some say intinction doesn't follow Jesus' instruction to drink the Precious Blood (Matthew 26:27 -28). But even if communicants were allowed to do the dipping, it wouldn't be more sanitary. Having many hands dipping into a chalice creates at least the same risk as having everyone

drink from the cup and wipe the chalice rim with

purificator. No matter how you receive the Body and Blood of Christ, the Church has long taught that to receive even a crumb of the consecrated bread or a drop of the consecrated wine is to receive Jesus Christ fully. FR.

According to the St. John Paul llthese truths need to be rediscovered" or "rekindled". The tragedy is you can receive communion daily and never have a change in your life. *First Secret "Jesus is alive!" *Second Secret "Christ is not alone" We celebrate with allthe saints.

*Third Secret "There

is

only one Mass" Every Mass is heaven on earth.

* Fourth Secret "lt's not just one miracle" *Fifth Secret "We don't just receive" We are to enter into Communion. BECOME ONEI *Sixth Secret Every reception of Communion is different than the last or the next. lt totally depends on the attitude of the recipient. * Seventh Secret Spiritual communion is vital and is not a bonus prize. It is not enough to receive communion. We must receive and worship Christ outside of the celebration of Mass.
