Laziness is a judgement not a diagnosis. In this LP U session, we will discuss different reasons students are called “lazy―and ways to combat this behavior. We have realized that a student's fear of failure, not understanding a subject, trauma in & out of the classroom, not feeling like they have enough support, etc. has been labeled as laziness. Building relationships with students and finding the root of the problem, not laziness, has been effective for many students. Learn or reconnect with some ideas that will help you motivate and connect with your students…give them a fresh start instead of a label.
