Dr. Kwame Agyemang has recently been promoted to Associate professor here at LSU. He has been with the program since 2012. Dr. Agyemang graduated with his undergraduate degree in political science and obtained his M.Ed. in higher education from the University of Oklahoma. After this, he went on to obtain his Ph.D. in Sport Management from Texas A&M University and has also recently completed a certificate in change leadership from Cornell University. Dr. Agyemang says he has used each of these areas of study to help develop his research agenda in studying how people and organizations lead and manage social change both inside and outside of organizational boundaries. In describing the feeling of becoming tenured he says, “I felt proud that all the hard work that I had put in over the last few years had paid off.” He also explained how he has more freedom to explore things like being able to do longitudinal studies that take a longer period of time. Dr. Agyemang is looking forward to accomplishing more and working toward his next goal of achieving promotion to full professor. Congradulations, Dr. Agyemang!
