Memberships
A
nyone can apply to join the Royal Air Force Yacht Club; you do not need to have served in the Royal Air Force.
We pride ourselves on our reputation for being a very friendly club welcoming both individuals and families. We offer many benefits to boat owners or those who love boating, these are described elsewhere in this brochure. To join you can either apply to become a Temporary or Full member. To apply for Full membership, you must know at least two members for 6 months or more who are eligible to propose and second you. Applications can be either for a single or family membership depending on your choice and circumstance. To apply, just complete and return an application form to the Club Office, which can be found on the website https://rafyc.org.uk/how-to-join/.
Upon application your name and type of membership gets displayed on the club notice board for 14 days, after which you will be invited to the club to meet with a member of the club’s management team. This gives us the opportunity to meet you and explain various aspects of the club and for you to ask any questions and have a tour of the facilities. Subsequently, the board of directors review all applications, and you will be informed accordingly. Current membership fees are published on the club’s website. Other than single or family membership alternative categories are available if you live overseas or are under 35 years of age, please contact the Club Office for further details.
