Luis Moy-Manning Fashion, Promotion and Imaging Year Two

Here is some work from a University brief were we were giving the chance to design album covers for an up and coming artist I chose Natalia Kills for her love of fashion and strong graphic lines. The album covers I created for her I think represent her well and look visually interesting.

Here are some examples of the images when using them in print screening I think the images are really graphically strong and have a pop art feel to them.

This idea was for Natalia’s song “Kill My Boyfriend” I didn’t want to show her literally killing him so I thought about making the message of sprayed blood tell the story of how he died. I think the image works really well and I like the red against the pure white it makes the blood really stand out.

PRY Magazine is a magazine that I created whilst on my Graphic design degree for two years I really enjoyed designing and styling the entire magazine. I also enjoyed laying out the magazine but since then I feel that my layout skills have become more stronger. But feel free to view it here Prymagazine.tumbr.com

Here is some fashion photography I styled and shot myself. We got given a phrase to work with and my phrase was “What is sacred so I thought about shooting a guy represented a Jesus I like the image I think the blood gives it a sinister yet beautiful feel and the lighting behind really gives the feel of sacred.

What is greed? Here is a gun I created with over three thousand Swarvoski crystals encrusting the gun.

Here Is a drawing I created on Illustrator I like architecture a lot and also enjoy drawing it I feel that it adds to my work and my passion for history.

In university we got asked to create an image in adverting that people don’t normally see. I thought that male and female sexualisation is seen constantly but Homosexuality is hardly sexualise on big campaigns so I decided to create an image to promote that.

Here is an Illustration of Napoleon I like creating images from history. Using an old painting and making them new.

Playing around with layout a line drawing of the Romanov’s crest The imperial Russian royal family.

Here is the Romanov crest completed and shaded in. This shows my skills well in Photoshop and Illustrator. Each feather was painstakingly drawn line by line. I think with this level of detail it makes the drawing richer to look at and adds depth.

Here is the Winter Palace in St Petersburg. I created this image to coincide with the Romanov crest. I spent a long time trying to capture the grandeur and wealth of architectural beauty in this building. My passion for history and architecture shows through in most of my work.

Here i drew a Skull to refine my illustrator skills and shading skills in photoshop.

With the skulls that I had drawn I decided to repeat them and I really liked the overall look of the repetition. I think that it easily could be adapted for fabric use or wallpaper.

At university we got asked to put something onto a T-shirt that was inappropriate. I decided to put this image that I took and put this onto my T-shirt . the idea went down really well as they liked how I had used image to portray something inappropriate rather then text and how strong it was to look at graphically.

I created this in my back garden for fun in the summer as most of my friends were jetting off to LA I thought it would be fun to bring LA to my back garden. The Hollywood sign is such an iconic image and when people now look to the back of our garden laugh and think that its a great idea. In the future I would even think about selling these so everyone can have a bit of glamour to there back garden and bring Hollywood home.

Here are a few examples of my photography. I really enjoy photography and am a great lover of capturing everyday objects and also things that I think look visually interesting. I am also a great over of instagram and a lot of my images can be seen on my blog here: Princeluis.com

Here is an image I made for a university project we were asked to depict out idea of what heaven would look like and mine is pretty conventional but still I think a beautiful image of heaven.

Black Notley

Here is some work i created about the famous landmarks of where i come from and were i live. Its a mixture of the Epsom town clock Brighton Pavilion and the Essex sign. i like it as a vsual reference to where i come from and live rather then it just being written.

Welcome to

ESSEX

These next images are from a film that I styled and created myself. Fashion film is something that I enjoy. I like it in the sense that I look at it like photography but rather then it being just a single image it is more of a continuous photograph and each still needs to be as beautiful and attention to detail as each individual fashion photo.

This image that i created is a logo that i designed for myself. i feel that it represents me and my style perfectly and shows the intrest in history rather then it being modern and slick like most logos are today. My insperation for the logo was from Versace as the brand uses old style but with a modern twist.
