Foreword

Good afternoon everyone! Welcome to another musical outing from PROUDLY PRESENTED. Our brand is dedicated to supporting the art of good Singing and bringing good Singing to you, our friend and attendee. This Saturday afternoon, 10th August, 2019 we raise our voices in Praise and Worship and we have planned our programme so that you too will join in with our Singing. This is a Service rather than a Concert and we encourage you to be an active participant throughout the afternoon. We have provided the lyrics for most of the songs so as you may sing along with us. Please do join in to the Glory of God. We have adopted a running order which includes some sacred classical repertoire, the more traditional hymns, as well as some contemporary and popular/familiar Praise and Worship tunes. I have a special place in my heart for hymns and I am convicted that a good hymn is the best balm for an aching heart or a battered soul. God is ever Good and Faithful. It is my testimony. I have wanted to raise my voice to say Thank you to Him for His Grace, His Mercy, His Goodness. I am thankful that today is here. I do not know exactly what you have in your heart to thank God for, but I know that you do have something to be thankful for. In the words of that famous Refrain; Count your blessings, name them one by one, Count your blessings see what God Has done. Count your blessings, name them one by one, And it will surprise you what the Lord Has done. Welcome!

MY TRIBUTE - AndraĂŠ Crouch - WAMBUI NJOROGE - REGERU

Andrae Crouch - My Tribute 1984 How can I say thanks for the things You have done for me? Things so undeserved, yet You gave to prove Your love for me; the voices of a million angels could not express my gratitude. All that I am and ever hope to be, I owe it all to Thee.

To God be the glory, To God be the glory, To God be the glory For the things He has done.

With His blood He has saved me, with His power He has raised me; To God be the glory for the things He has done. Just let me live my life, let it pleasing, Lord to Thee, and if I gain any praise, let it go to Calvary Deuteronomy: 10.21 He [is] your praise, and He [is] your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things which your eyes have seen.

All: Great is Thy Faithfulness “Great is Thy faithfulness,” O God my Father, There is no shadow of turning with Thee; Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.

“Great is Thy faithfulness!” “Great is Thy faithfulness!” Morning by morning new mercies I see; All I have needed Thy hand hath provided— “Great is Thy faithfulness,” Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest, Sun, moon and stars in their courses above, Join with all nature in manifold witness To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love. Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth, Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide; Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow, Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

The Lord’s My Shepherd (Brother James’s Air) – Psalm 23 The Lord’s my Shepherd, I’ll not want. He makes me down to lie In pastures green; He leadeth me The quiet waters by. He leadeth me, He leadeth me, the quiet waters by. My soul He doth restore again; And me to walk doth make Within the paths of blessedness, Ee’n for His own Name’s sake. Within the paths of blessedness, Ee’n for His own Name’s sake. Yea, though I pass through shadowed vale, Yet will I fear no ill; For thou art with me; and thy rod And staff me comfort still. Thy rod and staff they comfort still My table thou hast furnished In presence of my foes; My head with oil thou dost anoint, And my cup overflows. My head thou dost with oil anoint, And my cup overflows. Goodness and mercy all my days Will surely follow me; And in my father’s heart alway My dwelling place shall be. And in my heart forevermore, Thy dwelling place shall be. 12

Julie Gaulke: SULTRY VOICES Tiya Singh, Ruhi Dodhia, Amie Wangui, Maya Nyachae, Maya Oluoch - Olunya, Waruguru Kibuga Kariithi ALL: Surprise Item (Wambui Njoroge - Regeru) MERCY SAID NO: Cece Winans - AMIE WANGUI

Mercy Said No - Cece Winans I was just a child, when I felt the Savior leading I was drawn to what I could not understand And for the cause of Christ, I have spent my days believing That what He’d have me be, who I am As I’ve come to see the weaker side of me I realize His grace is what I’ll need When sin demanded justice for my soul Mercy said no I’m not going to let you go I’m not going to let you slip away You don’t have to be afraid Mercy said no Sin will never take control Life and death stood face to face Darkness tried to steal my heart away Thank You Jesus, Mercy said no For God so loved the world, that He sent His son to save us From the cross He built a bridge to set us free 14

Oh, but deep within our hearts, there is still a war that rages And makes a sacrifice so hard to see As midnight fell upon the crucifixion day The light of hope seemed oh so far away As evil tried to stop redemption’s flow Mercy said no I’m not going to let you go I’m not going to let you slip away You don’t have to be afraid Mercy said no Sin will never take control Life and death stood face to face Darkness tried to steal my heart away Thank You Jesus, Mercy said no And now when heaven looks at me It’s through the blood of Jesus Reminding me of one day long ago Mercy said no I’m not going to let you go I’m not going to let you slip away You don’t have to be afraid Mercy said no Sin will never take control Life and death stood face to face Darkness tried to steal my heart away Thank You Jesus, Mercy said no

I LOOK TO YOU - Whitney Houston WAMBUI NJOROGE - REGERU, AMIE WANGUI/ MAYA NYACHAE

I Look To You - Whitney Houston As I lay me down Heaven hear me now I’m lost without a cause After giving it my all Winter storms have come And darkened my sun After all that I’ve been through Who on earth can I turn to I look to you I look to you After all my strength is gone In you I can be strong I look to you I look to you Yeah And when melodies are gone In you I hear a song I look to you After losing my breath There’s no more fighting left Sinking to rise no more Searching for that open door

20

And every road that I’ve taken Led to my regret And I don’t know if I’m gonna make it Nothing to do but lift my head I look to you I look to you Yeah And when all my strength is gone In you I can be strong I look to you I look to you Oh yeah And when melodies are gone In you I hear a song I look to you Coming down on me All the rain is falling Set me free Take me far away from the battle I need you Shine on me I look to you I look to you After all my strength has gone In you I can be strong I look to you I look to you 21

And when melodies are gone In you I hear a song I look to you Yeah I look to you I look to you ALL; ON EAGLE’S WINGS - JOSH GROBAN

Michael Crawford - On Eagles Wings Maya Nyache, Tiya Singh, Maya Oluoch-Olunya You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord Who abide in His shadow for life Say to the Lord, “My Refuge My Rock in Whom I trust.”

All: Refrain And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings Bear you on the breath of dawn Make you to shine like the sun And hold you in the palm of His Hand Revelation: 11.17 Saying: “We give You thanks, O Lord God Almighty, The One who is and who was and who is to come, Because You have taken Your great power and reigned.

You need not fear the terror of the night Nor the arrow that flies by day Under his wings your refuge His faithfulness your shield For to His angels He’s given a command 22

To guard you in all of your ways Upon their hands they will bear you up Lest you dash your foot against a stone Refrain And He will raise you up on eagle’s wings Bear you on the breath of dawn Make you to shine like the sun And hold you in the palm of His Hand

ST. MARK’S PRAISE AND WORSHIP TEAM/ Wambui Njoroge - Regeru; REDEEMER - Nicole C. Mullen

Nicole C. Mullen - My Redeemer Lives Who taught the sun where to stand in the morning? Who told the ocean you can only come this far? Who showed the moon where to hide ‘til evening? Whose words alone can catch a falling star?

Well I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives All of creation testify This life within me cries

I know my Redeemer lives The very same God that spins things in orbit He runs to the weary, the worn and the weak And the same gentle hands that hold me when I’m broken They conquered death to bring me victory Now I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives 23

Let all creation testify Let this life within me cry I know my Redeemer, He lives To take away my shame And He lives forever, I’ll proclaim That the payment for my sin Was the precious life He gave But now He’s alive and There’s an empty grave Now I know my Redeemer lives I know my Redeemer lives Let all creation testify Let this life within me cry I know my Redeemer, He lives ALABASTER BOX: Cece Winans - MAYA NYACHAE

Cece Winans - Alabaster Box The room grew still As she made her way to Jesus She stumbled through the tears That make her blind She felt such pain Some spoke in anger Heard folks whisper There’s no place here for her kind Still on she came Through the shame that flushed her face Until at last she knelt before his feet And though she spoke no words Everything she said was heard As she poured her love for the master From her box of Alabaster 24

And I’ve come to pour My praise on Him like oil From Mary’s Alabaster Box Don’t be angry if I wash His feet with my tears And I dry them with my hair You weren’t there the night He found me You did not feel what I felt When He wrapped His loving arms around me And you don’t know the cost Of the oil in my Alabaster box I can’t forget the way life used to be I was a prisoner to the sin that had me bound And I spent my days Poured my life without measure Into a little treasure box I thought I found Until the day when Jesus came to me And healed my soul with the wonder of His touch So now I’m giving back to Him All the praise He’s worthy of I’ve been forgiven and that’s why I love Him so much And I’ve come to pour My praise on Him like oil From Mary’s Alabaster Box Don’t be angry if I wash His feet with my tears And I dry them with my hair You weren’t there the night He found me You did not feel what I felt When He wrapped His loving arms around me And you don’t know the cost Of the oil in my Alabaster box
