Owner’s Deck The Owner’s Deck showcases Solandge at her best. This is the ultimate entertaining space for hosts that want to spend magical time with their families and friends. The elegant interior salon flows effortlessly out onto the largest outdoor dining and lounge area on board. The perfect spot for elegant, yet relaxed lunches, casual dinners or late afternoon sundowners. Two additional private fixed balconies on this deck provide further outdoor living space. Going forward, the Master Stateroom features 180-degree uninterrupted views off the bow onto a private outdoor lounge and mosaic-clad infinity spa pool. Exquisitely designed ‘His and Hers’ en-suites have been designed using the world’s most striking marble and stone and ‘Hers’ features a second hydrotherapy tub. Main Deck The Main Deck is the heartbeat of Solandge where the five staterooms are situated, including VIP suite. Contemporary and warmly decorated, each stateroom features a different colour scheme and the VIP suite includes an attached sitting room that can be separated into a separate sleeping room for families with small children. All staterooms have exceedingly large windows to ensure guests can soak up the views in the early morning hours. A fifth cabin can be utilised as an office, media centre or sleeping quarters for nanny or security personnel. The main Salon, bar and dining areas are presented as a multi-functional formal entertaining space complete with Bechstein piano. The adjacent lounge is an intimate option for after-dinner gatherings, with fireplace, television and a games console and Karaoke for the kids. Moving aft outdoors, the main deck bar is a picture-perfect spot for relaxing under the stars on a warm evening.
Lower Deck Descending down the grand teak staircase to the Lower Deck guests will find a nautical playground of toys, tenders and an additional sauna and shower. The staircase extends directly into the sea, ensuring a graceful and comfortable entry and exit. Solandge has a fully certified PADI dive shop including a Brownie’s

Tank Deck The Tank Deck takes full advantage of space and stillness and this is where the state-of-the-art cinema is situated. The cinema can be presented in traditional movie-theatre seating or converted into a casual dining layout for the kids to enjoy the ultimate movie and pizza night. Also located on this deck is the Solandge wine cellar, which holds 500 bottles, curated especially for each guest prior to their charter. The Solandge experience is vast and versatile. Every inch of her design has been developed with entertaining and enjoyment at its core. She is a vessel built specifically for friends and family to spend quality time together. After they were forged in Crewe from solid steel blocks, the 21-inch wheels received their finishing touches by hand. They are also dark-tinted. Optional lacquered or polished finishes are also available. The rim design follows the direction of travel and is specially adapted to both sides of the vehicle. There are four new paint finishes for the Mulsanne Speed to choose from: a blackgolden hue, bright red, a powerful blue with green highlights, reminiscent of deep sea colours, and a camel-coloured gold tint. Overall, the basic selection includes 25 colours, over 100 additional colours and custom finishes according to customers’ wishes. Even the interior is the work of the best designers, from the leather seats, which are stitched in a sophisticated diamond pattern, to the piano veneers with carbon hand-set inlays and the sporty perforated pedals made of light metal. The knurled gear shift handle also highlights the sporty feel of the Mulsanne Speed. It also comes with the indispensable features of Wi-Fi and a 60 GB hard drive. Other options include tables that extend automatically from the backs of the front seats, with connections for iPads. A fridge compartment is located behind the frosted glass of the centre armrest, and even BENTLEY-styled champagne glasses await passengers. The absolute highlight of the numerous refinements are the 14 audio speakers discreetly integrated into the frame, which provide an unrivalled sound experience. After having put the fantastic style elements of the Mulsanne Speed thoroughly “under the microscope”, Derek hands me the ignition key. “Well, let’s go!” he says casually, taking the passenger seat while I make myself comfortable in the cockpit. My first impression is that everything is in its place. It is comfortable, the instruments are clearly arranged, the pedals are easy to access and there is a sophisticated gear shift which now finally wants to be “inaugurated”. The abandoned track, which formerly served as an aircraft runway, lies before us. Three options are available for operating the 6.75-litre V8 engine, as Derek expertly explains to me: “Bentley”, “Comfort” - and “Sport”. While the “Bentley” and “Comfort” modes of operation can be selected for a more normal, “cultured” driving mode, the “Sport” setting brings the true powers of the engine into play. I opt for the latter mode, because I want to know how the turbo properties of the completely revised Mulsanne operate in practice. After all, the entire combustion process of the proven V8 engine has been completely modified. From the combustion chamber to the intake duct, fuel injectors, spark plugs and compression, the engine is now even more powerful, faster and more accurate. 50

Gleiches gilt für dunkel getönte Elemente der Scheinwerfer. Dazu ein Lichtdesign, das den Formen einer fliessenden Ellipse folgt und bei Dunkelheit unvergleichliche Akzente setzt. Die neue Motorkraft des Mulsanne Speed drückt sich in einer markanten Riffelung der Endrohre aus. Die 21-Zoll-Räder erhielten in Handarbeit ihren letzten Schliff, nachdem sie in Crewe aus massiven Stahlblöcken geschmiedet wurden. Sie sind ebenfalls dunkel getönt, optional stehen auch Ausführungen in Lack oder Politur zur Verfügung. Das Design der Felgen folgt der Laufrichtung und ist für beide Fahrzeugseiten speziell angepasst. Gleich vier neue Lackierungen stehen für den Mulsanne Speed zur Auswahl: eine schwarz-goldene Tönung, ein leuchtendes Rot, ein kraftvolles Blau mit grünen Nuancen, das an Tiefseefarben erinnert, sowie eine karamellfarbene Goldtönung. Insgesamt umfasst die Grundauswahl 25 Farben, über 100 Zusatzfarben und individuelle Lackierungen nach Kundenwunsch. Auch das Interieur ist das Werk der besten Designer: Angefangen von Ledersitzen, die in edlem Diamantmuster gesteppt sind, über Klavierfurniere mit von Hand gesetzten Intarsien aus Carbon – bis hin zu sportlich gelochten Pedalen aus Leichtmetall. There can be no doubt – Daimler invented the art of motoring. But with the new Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, the number one car manufacturing company is launching much more than just a new luxury saloon for chauffeurdriven passengers. And let’s get it straight right from the very start: only flying is more enjoyable than travelling in this “heaven on wheels”.
“Wonderfully quiet.” The voice of our chauffeur is soft, yet clear and lucid. Imperceptibly, his words are picked up by two sensitive microphones which are virtually invisibly integrated into the rear view mirror. They are then fed into the electronic 3D acoustics system and are finally emitted from the high-end loudspeakers in the rear of the vehicle, acoustically enhanced. “Wonderfully quiet.” … here, in the new Mercedes-Maybach S 600, these words somehow have a different quality to how they would sound in just “any” saloon. More agreeable. More rounded. More pleasing. This is only a small, seemingly unimportant detail. After all, we would have understood the driver well enough without the innovative voice amplification system which was developed especially for the Maybach S in a series of elaborate tests. But still, the sophisticated feature shows just how successfully the designers of this unique class of vehicle have managed to empathise with its drivers and passengers. Daimler takes a holistic view of the subject of design – and now, with the launch of the new Maybach S-Class, the premium automotive manufacturer from Stuttgart is putting its design skills to full effect. Due to the tranquillity that dominates the vehicle interior, the voice amplification system, which makes even quietly spoken words a pleasant experience, imparts a feeling of luxury that only ancient amphitheatres can compete with at best. The MercedesMaybach S is, after all, considered to be the world’s quietest production saloon for rear-seat passengers. The business activities were started by Luigi Pandolfini back in 1924 when he began selling furniture, furnishings and various kinds of objet d’art. It was only in the second half of the 1940s that Pandolfini started to organize auctions of antique furniture and paintings. At this point, and in the years to come, Pandolfini decided to concentrate on specific fields within the auction business, and over the years we have come to organize specialized auctions, selling objects such as modern art, antique paintings, fine porcelain, silverware, antique books, luxury wristwatches, rare coins and various kinds of jewelry,” explains Francesco Tanzi, who is Pandolfini’s wine expert.
