Before and after the Queen

“In remembering the appalling suf fering of war on both sides, we recognize how precious is the peace we have built in Europe since 1945." –Queen Elizabeth II.

You were right, Your Majesty. Alas, not even the Great British Queen can keep this world from harm.

Our new issue is dedicated to gemstones: the masterpieces of nature and their sub lime rendering in extraordinary jewellery, inspiring and dazzling the eye. However, the truest jewels in this world manifest themselves as strength of character and willpower, the nobility of human spirit capable of leading a country, one who in spires, reconciles, and with such love of life befitting a great nation; a personality ca pable of showing both stamina and cour age, whilst never faltering in her role as a mother, a wife and a woman.

An epoch has ended. A queen that has been with us for such a long time – now gone irrevocably. Everyone, it seems, found themselves orphaned a little, like a child who accidentally let go of his moth er’s hand and found himself lost in the big city. But in spite of this loss, nothing can prevent us from remembering the wise and encouraging words left behind by Her Majesty the Queen. Nothing can stop us from keeping faith, upholding peace, and showing resolve and wisdom. Whilst the world is consumed by cruel and pointless wars, conflicts and grudges, it remains within our power to be royally wise, kind

and generous; distinguishing between good and evil, right and wrong, light and darkness. In her Christmas speech of 1957, Queen Elizabeth II said, ‘It has always been easy to hate and destroy. To build and to cherish is much more dif ficult’.

Diamonds may be beautiful, but the world shall not be saved by beauty, but by kindness. Let us remember this and pay tribute to the memory of an extraordinary woman and a great queen.

As always, I wish you a pleasurable read and only the happi est of memories to be made, dear reader!

Tiffany & Co. UNLOCK YOUR STYLE

No rules. All welcome. It’s the “spirit” behind Tiffany & Co.’s new Lock collection. With it, Tiffany & Co. has presented a new standard of beauty. The Tiffany Lock bangle fea tures an innovative clasp that echoes the functionality of a padlock, an important motif from The Tiffany Archives. Thereafter, the padlock

became a core motif within Tiffany’s design language, epitomized through everything from pendants to broo ches. This style is expertly crafted in 18k yellow, rose and white gold with hand-set diamonds for a striking contrast. Tiffany Lock is a bold and visual statement about the personal bonds that make us who we are.

Moet & Chandon

Vintage champagne Dom Périg non, first made from the 1921 vintage, is still considered to be the pinnacle of Moet & Chandon wine makers' creativity. The 2004 vintage left its mark on the history of Dom Pérignon, remembered for its sim plicity and generosity. Plénitude 2 is the second life of Dom Pérignon, pa tiently brought to a new elevation and

set on a path to eternity. Citrusy notes of pink grapefruit and blood oranges gently cede to figs. The additional time on the lees elevates the minerality of the vintage with the sublime maturity that is Dom Pérignon’s signature. Co coa, mocha, roasted nuts, brioche and honey. This champagne is markedly different from the previous bright vintages with a calmer taste.

Volkswagen Group China

V.MO OR “FLYING TIGER”

PREMIUM PRODUCT FOR HIGH-NET-WORTH INDIVIDUALS

eVTOL air vehicles will be able to transport passengers more quickly and efficiently than current conventional means of terrestrial transport and with greater flexibility.

Volkswagen Group China, the famous German car brand's Volkswagen Chinese branch, colla borated with British design consul tancy Tangerine and Chinese avia tion manufacturer Sunward on the first fully working prototype. An electric vehicle is beautifully des cribed as a "state-of-the-art passen ger drone prototype" by the officials of the company. The name chosen for the electric aircraft is V.MO, al though internally it has received

the nickname “Flying Tiger” due, in particular, to its exterior decoration in black, white and gold tones. This has not been a mere coincidence, since it commemorates its presenta tion in the Chinese year of the tiger (this 2022). The electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) prototype looks similar to a helicopter, with eight rotors fixed upwards to allow the aircraft to take off and land ver tically. Two rear propellers enable the electric aircraft to fly horizontally

on its journey. Its cross-shaped wing configuration measures 11.2 metres in length and spans 10.6 metres in width. When complete, the brand is aiming for the four-seated vehicle to be able to travel up to 200 kilometres per hour with a maximum flight duration of 60 minutes on a single charge. Volkswagen Group China stated that the “Flying Tiger” will be suitable for "urban elite" Chinese cus tomers. Initially, the vehicle could be used for services such as VIP air taxis.

The Macallan & Bentley

THE MOST EXOTIC BOTTLE

The Macallan Horizon’s packag ing is described by the companies as with unique design and concept that defies the traditional vertical aesthetics of a whisky bottle.

The Macallan Horizon is an exquisitely unique vision of design that has been made possible by an ambitious partnership between Bentley Motors and The Macallan. The concept incorporates six repurposed, ethically sourced materials that are found to be integral to The Macallan and Bentley Motors. Among them are recycled copper from the disused small spirit stills that were located within The Macallan’s former distillery; aluminum recovered from the Bentley Motors manufacturing process,

recycled wood, recyclable glass and carbon neutral leather used in the recently unveiled Bentley Mulli ner grand tourer. The bottle, which sees a 180-degree twist with no standing base, houses a very special sin gle malt whisky developed by Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell. The profile was inspired by the natural ingredients found in the country and from a visit to Bentley Motors in Crewe. Look to the ho rizon. There you’ll find the future, and that future is The Macallan Horizon.

Bowmore Onyx

ENCAPSULATION OF TIME

This exceptionally unique 51-year-old single malt whisky is the encapsulation of time, with over half a century of craftsmanship, quality and character embedded in its story. Pre sented in a striking glass vessel, this is a once-ina-lifetime release in an American Oak refill barrel, which was filled in February 17, 1970. Bowmore® Onyx is a hand blown black glass vessel, containing 1.4 litres of ultra-rare whisky. It is inspired by the breathtaking Bowmore's island, specifically the distinctive black rock, or "bought more", which it is believed the name Bowmore is derived from. Bow more’s signature peat smoke, polished cedarwood and burnt caramel create a sweet yet spicy taste, which is balanced by tobacco, walnuts and pecan nuts on the finish. This whisky has been sold at the inaugural Distillers One of One auction for a record price of $532,340 in Edinburgh. Proceeds from auc tion went to The Youth Action Fund.

Patrón en Lalique

SERIE 3 CELEBRATION

In further proof that the calling for high-end tequila seemingly has no limit, ahead of National Tequi la Day (24 July) Patron unveiled its new Patrón en Lalique: Serie 3. It celebrates the Blue Weber agave used to make the Tequila, with the crystal decanter’s design inspired by the plant. Master Distiller David Rodri guez and his team have curated a blend of extra añejo tequilas said to be so rare that it can never be replicated. A total of 14 different tequilas aged for up to 8 years in French and American oak casks were chosen and fused together to create the expression. The resulting liquid offers notes of spices, dried fruits, Sherry wine and intense wood. The crystal decanter was created by Marc Larminaux, Lalique’s artistic and creative director. Each decanter is handmade and individually numbered. “Much like the masters at Patrón, at Lalique we pride ourselves on achieving excellence in everything we do,” said Silvio Denz, chairman and CEO at Lalique. The exclusive limited-edition 750ml of Patrón en Lalique: Serie 3 includes only 299 bottles, sold at a suggested price of $7,500. The increadible novelty will highly be appreciated by tequila lovers.

Louis Moinet Astronef

NEW TECHNOLOGY RESULTS IN A UNIQUE DESIGN

“The idea is to push back known limits, just as Louis Moinet did in his time – notably by inventing the chronograph in 1816”.

Jean-Marie Schaller, Louis Moinet CEO.

At the Geneva Watches And Wonders exhibition in 2022, the watchmaking studio Louis Moinet presented its new Astronef watch.

The double tourbillon by Louis Moinet recalls the heyday of su per-watches of the early 2000s that were supposed to be the centers of attention. More than three years of study went into developing the As

tronef mechanism.

The case’s technical design consists of a sapphire container set in a gold 18K frame topped with a sapphire dome that makes the watch look like a curiosity box. In the Astronef, on the dial side, two tourbillons rotate in opposite directions at a fairly

high speed - they intersect 18 times per hour, that is, every 3 minutes 20 seconds, for which they are designed at two different levels. This opulent miracle of mechanics is set in mo tion by the energy of two barrels, the mechanism consists of more than 400 parts, it takes a month to assemble. Ateliers Louis Moinet will release only 8 pieces of the model.

R ichard Mille

An exceptional ultra-flat timepiece, the RM UP-01 Ferrari.

At just 1.75-millimetre thick, the RM UP-01 Ferrari constitutes a triumph of technical prowess and exemplifies a new approach to watch mechanics in which technicity dictates aesthetics more than ever.

In 2021, Ferrari and Richard Mille, driven by their shared quest for perfection, joined forces to create a long-term partnership. Richard Mille celebrates this budding relationship with the creation of an ex ceptional ultra-flat timepiece, the RM UP-01 Ferrari. The novelty is an allusive piece to Ferrari’s values, developing sporting mechanisms that are as elegant as they are immediately recognisable. Integrated into the bezel, the function selector located between 10 and 11 o’clock allows to select the winding (W) or the hand-setting (H) function with a simple rotation

of the crown. Setting the time or winding the barrel is then possible by turning the second crown located between 7 and 8 o’clock. Surrounding the crowns, two black ceramic inserts protect the bezel from friction and ensure water resistance. Engineers from Audemars Piguet Le Locle and Richard Mille deve loped a new type of escapement with a balance wheel in titanium that reduces the calibre thickness whilst providing the same security as a conventional Swiss anchor escapement. There still will be much talk about the "new word" of watchmaking.

PERFORMANCE

The uncompromising slimness of the watch perfectly symbolises the Richard Mille philosophy of letting technique dictate aesthetics. The RM UP-01’s case has the same characte ristics and exhibits the similar sleek lines and attention to minute detail, as the large number of manufacturing operations required for its bezel and its monobloc caseband and caseback attest. The construction from grade 5 titanium optimises rigidity while guaranteeing water resistance to 10 m.

Cartier

BEAUTÉS DU MONDE

Seeing the beauty of the world, preserving and enriching it are values that have continuously influenced Cartier's philosophy.

The rhythm of the Récif Necklace is set by Cartier’s emblematic combination of orange of coral and green of the emerald.

The nature and vivacity of coral are what Cartier wanted to capture through the composition of the Récif necklace. A living material, somewhere between fauna and flora, whose appearance Cartier stylises in the form of ribbed coral beads snaking along a diamond atoll. Cartier reinterprets its signature style, defying its expertise so that the winding of the beads does not in any way impede the comfort of the wearer.

Cartier’s Beautés du Monde latest collection of haute joail lerie takes to a dreamy journey along with all the magnificence of nature that can be found on the way. “This collection was designed

during the pandemic, and the need to travel was very important for us,” says Jacqueline Karachi, Director of Creation at Cartier. “In fact, the reason we created this dreamlike journey was because we couldn’t physically travel.” The Beautés du Monde collection, a vivid vision of Cartier’s design and savoir faire prowess, is indeed a trip - in more ways than one. Combining a lon ging for travel with heady influen ces provided by the natural world,

the geometric and figurative sensi bilities of Cartier’s artisans are front and centre.

Speaking of ancient civilizations - Beautés du Monde mostly pays tribute to things that live and breathe. The bulbous brightness of a coral reef, the peaceful water lily and even the mysterious leafy sea dragon are all represented amongst the collection’s pieces. The jewel lery attracts with its excellence and opulence.

FIRES OF THE AUSTRALIAN OPALS

Take a close look at a butterfly wing, let you be dazzled by the beauty of its shades, and imagine an embellishment that would reflect its iridescent beauty. The Apatura Neck lace was born from the observation

of the infinitely small. Here, it is not a question of reproducing in a figu rative way, but of suggesting through an abstract composition, a display of shimmering colours that evokes the idea of the most delicate insect. The Cartier designers and stone experts have sought stones the colours of which are closest to the fires of the Australian opals placed in the centre: diamonds, orange sapphire and sap phire balls. The threading technique requires very meticulous sorting

work. The sapphire balls are cali brated in order to obtain a radiant effect around the opal. The thread ing adjustment on each section of the choker is made according to its location. In the Cartier tradition of transformable jewellery, this neck lace can be worn with or without its detachable pendant, equipped with a hanging system as tiny as it is dis creet. The impeccability of a butterfly was masterfully embodied in pre cious stones.

NEW DIMENSION OF MYSTERY

The Water Aspis Necklace is one of the most mythical creatures in the Cartier menagerie, where it instills its voluptuous charm. A powerful and hypnotic snake whose beauty and incredible fle xibility Cartier enhances through this new interpretation. It is water

that inspires the jeweller's choice of blue and white, the colours of sea foam and the sea bed where this oceanic reptile resides. Diamonds are everywhere creating the magic play of light and shadow: in tiny geometric patterns, in triangles aligned like a ridge, and on the pendant, consisting of two Ceylon sapphires separated by a sumptuous round rose-cut diamond. Scale motifs in lapis lazuli have been cut one by one to fit perfectly with the diamonds. This work is reserved for the most expert lapidaries, as

this hard stone is a delicate material to cut. For Cartier, the reverse side must reflect the front, the inner side of the necklace features geometric patterns that evoke the cut of the diamonds on the ridge. “Cartier’s vocabulary is based on geometry, abstraction and figuration, and sometimes we mix all of them to gether,” Jacqueline Karachi explains.

“When you bring your own jour ney, your personal journey, it’s the best way to be creative. We design for everybody, so we need to do the right thing for everyone.”

The story behind Van Cleef & Arpels’ new collection of extraordinary jewels, Legend of Diamonds, reads like a fairytale. It started with the discovery of a rough diamond of unusual weight and brilliance: the Lesotho Legend, the fifth largest rough diamond in both size and optical clarity ever mined. The rough stone was cut into a family of 67 diamonds, totaling 441.75 carats. The quality of each is exceptional, ranging from Flawless to Internally Flawless, which is the highest purity standard possible.

Diamonds were transformed into a collection of 25 pieces. “The stones that we use in our high jewellery creations are designed to inspire, like a piece of artwork in a museum,” says VC&A High Jewellery Director Gre gory Weinstock. The Maison has been linked to many fairytales. Spectacular ring boasting the famous Puerta ruby gifted by Richard Burton to Elizabeth Taylor was also purchased at Van Cleef. That diamonds, a girl’s best friends, are a story that never gets old.

THE COLLERETTE MYSTÉRIEUSE

Van Cleef & Arpels paired rubies with diamonds in this necklace - a colour com bination has been known to revisit - but this time added pink sapphires to soften the contrast between red and white. Like the all other pieces of the collection it’s made using the signature Mystery Set, a complex gem set ting technique. Patented by Van Cleef & Arpels in 1933, the Serti Mystérieux involves mounting each stone into extremely thin gold rails, each less than twotenths of a millimeter, making the prongs invisible. The gems seem to float on the surface of the jewel, shaped as if by magic.

Necklace, in a style not often seen in Van Cleef & Arpels de signs, reveals a fresh blue-on-green aesthetic. It is inspired by 1950s fashion and the crossover collars that were popular on evening gowns at that time. The highlights here are, of course, three majestic pear-cut diamonds, the largest of which mea-

sures 31 carats. This jewellery piece can be worn in six different ways, and its pear-cut diamonds may be enjoyed as a pendant with match ing earrings as well as with Liseré Mystérieux ring, where symmetrical rows of emeralds and sapphires en hance the beauty of a 2.50-carat 2A DFL pear-cut diamond.

Another collar-inspired piece, the Collerette Mystérieuse neck lace combines a graphical aesthetic highlighting mystery set rubies and diamonds in neat rows. Square-cut diamonds resembling tiny digital pixels appear to fall off thanks to the knife-edge setting method. Two centre stones glitter at its heart, both

emerald-cut diamonds, one over 51 carats and the other a 10.52-carat dazzler. The larger stone may be removed and worn on a ring, while another pendent individual mys tery set with rubies takes its place. The combination of red rubies and imposing diamonds are all about passion towards timeless beauty.

Ailleurs – elsewhere – is where Studio Boucheron is taking us with this new collection. In this “elsewhere” there is only one rule: to reveal the beauty and poetry of nature. The five different worlds are essentially an ode to nature. The single earring Papillon in natural butterfly wings set with brown diamonds, delicately resting on the top of the ear, while a pear-shaped diamond surrounds the earlobe.

SHOULDER BROOCH STILL LIFE

WOOD AND DIAMONDS

Real flower petals were scanned and from scan a new flower was recreated. Thanks to this way the wood was carved in an ultra-re alistic way. The wood chosen is santos rosewood because the grain of the woodcut in the shape had to be aesthetic. The pistils of the heart of the flower were mounted on titanium filament, thin as hair, so that they vibrate and bring it to life.

DIAMOND LEAF

The feuillage diamant (diamond leaf) cuff bracelet is adorned with a 37.97 carat green tourmaline. The concept behind this cuff was to give the illusion that it was created from a weaving of leaves. Made of anodized aluminum, its intense green colour comes from a cataphoresis treatment, which is highlighted by thin lines of diamonds giving it a look that is as imposing as this piece is light.

COMBINATION OF MISMATCHED

The Diamond Rattan necklace blends formed rattan, white gold and diamonds. A rattan fiber was moistened and then dried on a brass frame cast in the shape of the final creation. Then a gold bar was inserted to give it its final shape. The brilliant piece shines bright with 2371 diamonds and a large emer ald-cut diamond of 2 carat that forms a link age supporting both sides of the frame.

Objets Nomades Collection

Louis Vuitton’s Objets Nomades, a collection of travel-inspired furniture and objects made in collaboration with internationally renowned designers, celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Since 1854, Louis Vuitton has brought unique designs to the world, combining innovation with style, always aiming for the finest quality and preserving biodiversity. Today, the House remains faithful to the spirit of its founder, Louis Vuit ton, who invented a genuine “Art of Travel” through luggage, bags and accessories which were as creative as they were elegant and practical. Since then, audacity has shaped the story of Louis Vuitton.

Starting from 2012, Louis Vuitton has invited outstanding designers to imagine experimental yet func tional furniture pieces and design objects for the Objets Nomades Collection. From a hammock to a foldable stool, an armchair to a room screen, each limited-edition object pushes and surpasses the boundaries of leather to showcase the Maison’s attention to complex craftsmanship and creative inno vation. Not losing a second come to know the latest magnificence.

UNPARALLELED SAVOIR-FAIRE

The new collection simultaneously pays homage to Louis Vuitton's special orders of the past – such as the iconic Bed Trunk produced in 1874 for French explorer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza – while it cele brates the defiantly contemporary visions of diverse international designers including India Mahdavi, Marcel Wanders, Patricia Urquiola, Fernando and Humberto Campa na, Atelier Oï, and many more. The collection, which is now made up of over 60 pieces, had a strong presence at this year’s Salone del Mobile. Five

new Objets Nomades were unveiled in Milan. The first sees Swiss design studio Atelier Oï, which has been working on Objets Nomades since the collection’s foundation, introdu ces variations of its much-loved Belt Chair. Both inspired by the House’s 160-year-old “Art of Travel” and a reinterpretation of that essential spirit, each Objet Nomade is an ex pression of the unique combination of its designer’s creativity and Louis Vuitton’s unparalleled savoir-faire.

Atleri Oï’s Aurel Aebi, Armand Louis and Patrick Reymond, who joined the roster of Louis Vuitton collabo rators for the first Objets Nomades collection, took a cue from their Belt Chair featuring a metal structure covered in leather strips held in place by belt buckles to develop a lounge chair, a bar stool and a side stool,

adding wooden details to the former two. The brass buckles design recalls those used on the Maison’s bags. The cloud-shaped Bomboca sofa by Fer nando and Humberto Campana - its name nodding to Brazil’s tradition of serving confectionery at weddings and children’s parties - is being re mastered in a four-seat version with 11 upholstered cushions filling the leather-covered shell. Israeli de signers Shay Alkalay and Yael Mer of London-based Raw Edges used their penchant for childlike wonders typically embedded in their colourful designs, rich in different patterns, for Cosmic Table, available in indoor and outdoor versions. Boasting a car bon-fiber structure covered in bright ly coloured, enameled or metallic leather depending on the variant, the table is complemented by a glass top.

These watches are from Franck Muller, the eminent Swiss brand which has also created Bitcoin Watches. There was a lot of hype about Bitcoin and its watch, so when we learned about Franck Muller's new collaboration with PLC Ultima, which is anoth er major player in the crypto world, it was hard not to notice.

It all started when Alex Rein hardt, founder of PLC Ultima and venture investor, decided to design a watch for himself. The crypto guru Alex Reinhardt says, “I have probably all the rarest, most exclusive watches in my collection. Eventually, I re alized I wanted my own watch,

one carrying my brand. As a Franck Muller fan, the choice of a partner was obvious. There is an amazing Swiss quality to Franck Muller, a unique style to it, and a commitment to work that is at the forefront of the industry.”

The PLC Ultima project is one of the largest crypto projects in the world that bridges business and crypto. It is a cryptocurren cy ecosystem that has over 1.5 million users from 120 coun tries, making it one of the largest crypto projects in the world.

“I am very grateful that Franck Muller understood my request and we were able to create the first Franck Muller - PLC Ul tima watch. It was only natu ral for me to wear this watch everywhere, and my colleagues and fellow community members wanted one too. Thus, a series of these Franck Muller - PLC Ultima watches had to be re leased”, - adds Alex Reinhardt

It was therefore decided to increase the total num ber of watches in the series to 111 111. Franck Muller watches are handcrafted and their production does not exceed 50 000 a year, so production of this series will con tinue for a few years. There is al ready a hunt for this watch among watch collectors as it is such an important piece of jewellery, as it is also a part of crypto history.

This watch is not only stylish, but also insanely beautiful. By using 21 instead of 12, Franck Muller - PLC Ultima watch is paying tribute to bitcoin as the progenitor of cryptocurrency. A QR code on each watch provides the current PLC Ultima exchange rate, which is constantly updated by Coin marketcap.

TOP 10 CRYPTO GENIUSES TO KNOW IF YOU'RE INTO CRYPTO

Welcome to the crypto world, my friend. It's huge, massive, it's all over the place. Some of us are just getting into it and some have already invested millions. It's a financial revolution waiting to happen and I don't want to be left behind. Is there anything we can do not only to become part of this revolution but help it spread faster as well? There are so many different voices talking about the crypto universe, how do we know whose advice to follow, whose opinions to trust? We did all the work for you, no need to read tons of articles about crypto economics every day.

Here are the top ten crypto minds to keep an eye on.

SATOSHI NAKAMOTO BITCOIN'S CREATOR'S SECRET

Bitcoin's creator, Satoshi Nakamoto, whose real name has never been publicly revealed, has no social media presence. His identity remains a mystery even today despite many attempts by people trying to uncover his real identity using various methods such as analysing his writings or looking at the timestamps on his emails or forum posts. Regardless of his real identity, Satoshi Nakamoto is considered as one of the most influential people in the crypto currency industry today since he developed Bitcoin which is now worth over $370 billion dollars. Satoshi Nakamoto published a

paper in 2008 that introduced cryptocurrency to a much wider audience. The paper, Bitcoin: A Peer-to-Peer Electronic Cash Sys tem, described the use of a peer-to-peer network as a solution to the problem of double-spending. Cryptocurrency was not a new idea at the time; there had been more than a few attempts to create a digital currency. However, Nakamoto proposed a decentralized approach for transactions using ledgers, a network, Merkle roots and trees, timestamps, incentives, cryptography, and a consensus mechanism.

ELON MUSK

THE BIG BOSS OF SPACEX

Elon Musk is the CEO and founder of Tesla and SpaceX. He has also been ranked as the 21st richest man in the world by Forbes. He is one of the greatest minds in the crypto universe because he has changed the way people think about crypto, he is a genius. He had an idea to create a digital currency that would be backed by electri city from renewable energy sources, and this was way back in 2013 when he tweeted: "Bitcoin is actually a fixed supply, it's like gold - very limited supply". Musk is often described as a micromanager and has called himself a "nano-manager". Musk does not make formal business plans; instead, he prefers to approach engineering problems with an iterative design methodology and lenience with failures. Musk has forced em ployees to adopt the company's own jargon and launched ambitious, costly and risky projects against his advisors' recommendations, such as removing front-facing radar from Tesla Autopilot. Musk's insistence in vertical integration causes his companies to move most of the production in-house.

VITALIK BUTERIN

CO-CREATOR OF ETHEREUM

Vitalik Buterin is the inventor of Ethereum and one of the most influential people in the blockchain industry today. He is also the co-founder of Bitcoin Magazine, which is one of the most popular sources of information on cryptocurrencies in general. At present, Vitalik is continually working on Ethereum, focusing on scalability, security and cost-effectiveness improvements. In 2020 Buterin commented on Ethereum project: "I am truly grateful to have the opportunity to work in such an interesting and interdisciplinary area of industry, where I have the chance to interact with cryp tographers, mathematicians and economists prominent in their fields, to help build software and tools that already affect tens of thousands of people around the world, and to work on advanced problems in computer science, economics and philosophy every week." His father suggests that Buterin is trying to avoid the focus on him as the philosopher king of the blockchain world, stating "He is trying to focus his time on research. He's not too excited that the community assigns so much importance to him. He wants the community to be more resilient."

CHANGPENG ZHAO (CZ)

FOUNDER AND CEO OF BINANCE

CZ is one of the most prominent names in the crypto world and he has been called "the Einstein of crypto" by many people. He has helped build Binance into one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world. CZ had been working at Blockchain for over two years before he took over CEO of Binance. Binance is the world’s largest crypto exchange by trading volume, with about $15.9 billion in volume in the past 24 hours and over 90 million customers globally. It launched in June in 2017 and within 180 days became the largest crypto exchange in the world. “When a regulator looks at this industry the first thing they will do is to borrow from what they already know - how they regulate banks, exchanges and move that into here. Later on they’ll realize this is a car, not a horse; this thing fits differently. You can’t put a saddle on it,” Zhao said. He also noted that when cars were first invented, people drove them with two straps - similar to how you would direct a horse - and steering wheels came later. With $96 billion, Zhao is closing in on tech titans including Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

WINKLEVOSS BROTHERS WINKLEVOSS TWINS

The Winklevoss twins, Cameron and Tyler, are perhaps the most famous crypto ge niuses in the world. They're best known for their legal battle with Mark Zuckerberg over Facebook's origins, but they've also been responsible for launching the first exchange-traded fund (ETF) on a major stock exchange and supporting Bitcoin's development. The brothers' history with Bitcoin goes back to 2011 when they in vested $11 million into Bitcoin-related ventures. Since then, they've become some of the most well-known investors in the space and have even invested in companies like BitPay, Coinbase and Gemini. The Winklevoss twins are inborn entrepreneurs. Their hard work paid off when they made the US Olympic rowing team and placed 6th at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China. In their fascinating keynote speeches, the Winklevoss twins share their journey as elite athletes, investors and lifelong entrepreneurs.

BRIAN ARMSTRONG THE WORLD’S LEADING DIGITAL CURRENCY EXCHANGE

Brian Armstrong, the CEO and co-founder of Coinbase, is one of the most influen tial minds in crypto today. His company has been instrumental in bringing crypto to the masses and has helped over 20 million people buy and sell crypto. Armstrong is also a member of the board at OpenOcean, which is an open source protocol for decentralized applications. Though Coinbase was started in San Francisco, it has no official headquarters and none of its employees are required to work in an office.

Armstrong said he thinks the remote-first structure has been positive for the com pany’s recruiting but that it has eroded some of the learning and development, cre ativity and trust. As a result, he said the company is trying to get employees together with some of their teammates in person at least once a quarter. Coinbase’s mission statement says the company strives to be a “refuge from division” and does not “en gage in social or political activism.” Armstrong founded the scientific research site ResearchHub, modeled on the GitHub code repository, as a way of making research papers available to the public.

ALEX REINHARDT

Alex Reinhardt is the founder of PLC Ultima (PLCU), a crypto-ecosystem that nar rows the gap between crypto and real-life financial services. With its diverse range of products, including a debit card, a minter app, and a crowdfunding platform, PLCU has already attracted over 1.5 million members worldwide. So, how has PLC Ultima achieved so huge success in such a short period, and what makes PLCU so different from those other 17,999 other coins available? The philosophy behind PLCU is very different from that of its competitors. This coin was created not as a copycat or to piggyback on the success of other products like Bitcoin; PLCU has its own vision for the future of cryptocurrency. This vision is what sets it apart and appeals to a different type of purchaser. The vision of PLCU is to become a mass-market cryptocurrency with the world's largest user base.

Like every coachbuilt car Mul liner creates, the Batur offers a level of luxury that only Mulli ner can achieve, thanks to a ve ritable showcase of cutting-edge techniques and materials. The incredible performance of the Ba tur is driven by much more than its rapier-like silhouette. Beneath its gleaming bonnet lies the most powerful expression ever of the 6.0 litre, twin-turbocharged Ben tley W12 engine. As the latest and greatest incarnation of Bentley’s trademark W12, it has been ex clusively up-rated, to deliver a po wer output in the region of 740PS. Equipped with digital chassis technology that has been honed to perfection on the Continental GT Speed, the first Batur to be built will be an engineering prototype, named Car Zero, according to Mulliner’s standard coachbuilding conventions. It means that the apertures for the front and rear LED lights are narrower and more sharply defined. The grille is characterised by a more angular, technical design, with contrast-painted three-dimen sional elements adding visual depth. It’s not just about the fine details, however. Leather-like textiles made from by-products of the coffee roasting process are also used in the car. Innovative combinations of precision additive manufacturing (often referred to as 3D printing) and premium or precious metals offer new opportunities to create something unique, from the bespoke titanium exhaust fini shers to the optional 18-carat gold interior detailing.

BUGATTI W16 MISTRAL

A LIMITED RUN ROADSTER

The W16 Mistral opens the next chapter in the Bugatti roadster story, inspired by over a century of open top legends, states Mate Rimac.

The era-defining masterpiece

New Legend |Wheels 74LUXURY MOTOR 125 | EDITION

Speaking about the new W16 Mis tral (the car gets its name from a wind that blows from the Rhône River valley and along the Côte d’Azur in southern France), Mate Rimac, Bugatti Rimac CEO, said, "For the final roadgoing appearance of Bugatti's legendary W16 engine, we knew we had to create a roadster. Well over 40% of all Bugatti vehicles ever created have been open-top in design, establishing a long lineage of performance icons that - to this day - are revered the world over. In the Chiron era there were, to-date, no roadster, so the introduction of W16 Mistral continues this legacy, dri ven by enormous demand from our clients for an all-new way to experi ence the mighty performance of our iconic engine." The new Bugatti W16 Mistral features the Chiron Super Sport's heavily turbocharged W16 engine that produces a heady 1,578 bhp and 1,600Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired to a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox that sends po wer to all four wheels of the roadster.

to take the record for the World's Fastest Roadster with the Mistral, a record currently held by Hen nessey Venom GT Spyder (427.44 km/h.). Described as “a watershed moment in the Bugatti story,” the W16 Mistral debuts in colours inspired by the Bugatti Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid of 1935, with its black paint and truffle brown with yellow accents. This colour way is also a nod to the black and yellow chosen by company foun der Ettore Bugatti for some of his personal cars, including a Type 41 Royale. Fundamental changes to the Chiron’s design include how the C graphic on the side has been given a new, three-dimensional character, while the W16’s oil cooler intakes on the sides have been separated from the engine air intakes. The latter now sits on the roof, behind the driver and their lucky passenger. By sitting on the roof, the intakes are remi niscent of those fitted to the Type 57 Roadster Grand Raid, and the open-topped Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport. Achim Anscheidt, Bugatti

Stunning interior

The interior is a variation on the Chiron’s, with a pared back design in terms of toys and instead a focus on sheer quality and personalisation.

Design Director, said: “We totally reinvented its frontal appearance, in line with the vertical layout of our unique or few-off models like Divo and La Voiture Noire.

It’s immediately imbued with a sense of exclusivity; the vertically stacked headlights are completely bespoke and the famous horse shoe grille is reimagined to be much more three-dimensional; both deeper and wider.” The inte rior is much like that of the Chi ron, but with a few new details.

One such is the gear shifter, which is machined from a solid block of aluminum as before, but now features a wood and amber insert, with Rembrandt Bugatti’s famous ‘dancing elephant’ motif sculp tured within. Bugatti Rimac ad ded: "With the roof removed, and a pair of large air intakes directly behind your head feeding around 70,000 liters of air through the engine every minute at full bore, driving the W16 Mistral connects you to the intricate workings of this revolutionary powertrain like no other Bugatti to date."

Keeping up with the times and coming to know the latest news from the motor world is always more amazing if taken a look back and seen the iconic models from the legendary Mercedes-Benz.

The Mercedes-Benz 770 “Grand Mercedes” was launched in 1930. These inhe rently representative cars featured exceptional driving performance and out standing ride comfort. An eight-cylinder in-line engine with a displacement of 7.7 litres ensured that the W 07 model series’ drivetrain met the exacting stan dard. The “Grand Mercedes”, built between 1930 and 1938, remained a highly ex clusive vehicle, and only 117 units were built, in a number of different versions. Two of them can be admired at the Mercedes-Benz Museum in Untertürkheim.

Having sported an extended cabin with an extra pair of side-rear windows, the 1937 Mercedes-Benz 320 Pullman Limousine was a spacious ride with plenty of rear compartment room enhanced by the presence of drink-coolers, storage boxes and other pleasant refine ments. By increasing the cylinder bore up to 82.5 mm, the engine’s displacement was increased up to 3.2 lit res. Its smooth running characteristics were further enhanced by adding 12 counterweights to the crank shaft – a measure that was resoundingly successful.

Mercedes-Benz 220 W 187 is a luxury car produced by Mercedes-Benz from 1951 to 1955. It featured a 4-door saloon (sedan) type body with a front located engine delivering power to the rear wheels. This engine was unusual in Europe at that time in having oversquare cy linder dimensions with a bore of 80.0 mm and a stroke of only 72.8 mm, which facilitated the design of an ef ficient reverse-flow cylinder head. Because of the extra power in what a heavy car was, by modern standards, the W187 was equipped with Duplex drum brakes.

The Mercedes-Benz W180 is an inline 6-cylinder sedan, coupé, and convertible made from 1954 to 1959.The pas senger cabin was lengthened to provide an increase in the legroom available to rear seat passengers. From the side these six cylinder cars can readily be distinguished from their shorter four cylinder siblings by the extra “quarter light” windows incorporated in the rear doors. The W180 was one in a series of Mercedes-Benz models to informal ly receive the “Ponton” nickname. This was in reference to the unibody-type, pontoon-shaped exterior styling.

The luxury-class Mercedes-Benz 220 SE “Tailfin” of the W 111 model series introduced in 1959 was the first passenger vehicle in the world with a safety body, made up of a rigid occupant compartment and ener gy-absorbing crumple zones at the front and rear. A test car slammed head-on into a solid obstacle. This marked the beginning of a new era in safety research. From then on, this made it possible to study the be haviour of vehicles and occupants in car accidents more closely using test cars and crash test dummies.

1959 1954 80LUXURY CLASSIC CAR 125 | EDITION

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 was a full-sized luxury performance car built by Mercedes Benz from 1968 to 1972. It featured the powerful 6.3-litre M100 V8 from the flagship 600 (W100) limousine installed in the normally six-cylinder powered Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL (W109). At the time of its release it was one of the world’s fastest four-door cars. It was able to cruise at over 200 km/h with 5 occupants in complete comfort. Standard features inclu ded air suspension, ventilated 4-wheel power disc brakes, power windows, central locking and power steering.

The Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL is a member of the brand’s S-Class family, belonging to the W126 generation. It was shot in the films A View to a Kill and GoldenEye. The body design, which diplomats and Arab sheikhs identify with the standard of intelligence and "high style", belongs to the Italian Bruno Sacco. This car is considered to be his best work. The engine produces a maximum power of 249 bhp - 185 kW at 5200 rpm and a maximum torque of 390 Nm at 3750 rpm. The power is transmitted to the road by the rear wheel drive with a 4-speed automatic gearbox.

“I’m a man of simple tastes, I’m always satisfied with the best,”- says Oscar Wilde. Keeping in mind and absolutely agreeing with the great writer we carefully choose the novelties that will fulfil our traditional heading “Best of the Best”. It is impossible to com pletely reveal the mystery of creating today’s ultra-luxury things but we can say for sure that a special part of this splendour belongs to the brand’s traditions, craftsmanship never-ending search for perfection, always awakening creative mind.

TEST THE TIME

The Cartier Libre collection has traditionally been the line where watches are "crafted with full cre ative freedom." This direction of the house is one of the most important and dynamically developing: it is not surprising that the brand's watches have become the second most popular in the world. This model is a stunning piece, and a moment of real maturity and al most mainstream design for the Libre collection. The line between jewellery and watch blurs in this jewellery

timepiece, which can be worn in 2 ways. Thanks to a flexible-elasticated strap, it’s completely reversible. The watch is on the front, the bracelet on the back. Studded with 418 brilliant-cut diamonds and precious stones, the limited edition Libre is quartz-powered and comes in 3 versions. Inspiration from the watch was drawn from jewellery worn by actress Gloria Swanson, so if you saw this bracelet-watch combo and immediately wanted to descend a grand staircase - your intuition was spot-on.

FLEUR DU DÉSERT: ORIENTAL TALE

Louis Vuitton has been paying homage to the olfac tory culture of the Middle East since 2018. This time the brand announces a novelty from the Les Par fums Louis Vuitton collection inspired by the diversity of this region. The new fragrance is the fifth in the collection. Fleur du Désert, like the rest of the brand’s boutique line, was created by Jacques Cavalier-Beltrud. When compiling the composition, Cavalier was inspired by the exotic beau ty of oases, which the perfumer encountered during a tour

of the Saudi Arabian desert near Jeddah. The fragrance is based on three Middle Eastern plants - jasmine, orange blossom and damask rose. They are contrasted by deep As sam oud and light floral-honey notes. The fragrance is in bottles of 100 and 200 milliliters, the concentration is eau de parfum. The iconic Louis Vuitton flacon is not as simple as it seems in reality. It is made in black, but when rays of sunlight hit it, it turns purple. The perfume truly embodies the oriental tale with its aroma and flacon design.

Inspired team, innovative technology, and international partnerships.

Mr. Gandecha, what are the market trends in the real es tate industry nowadays?

As of June 2022, average home prices in the United King dom increased by 7.8%, down from 12.8% in May. In ad dition, annual house price inflation decreases due to tax break modifications in June 2021. The Office of National Statistics (ONS) indicates a steep decline in house price inflation in the year to June. Property investment in Tur key and Greece has also become increasingly popular. For their fascinating indigenous culture, spectacular natural landscape, desirable lifestyle, and abundant educational resources, Turkey and Greece have piqued investors' inte rest worldwide. Turkey's and Greece's favourable immigra tion policies (Turkey's investment immigration policy and Greece's golden visa) are also essential factors in attracting the international market. In addition, Dubai is becoming one of the most attractive investment locations due to its tax policy and high net investment.

Mr. Erturk, continuing to talk about market trends,

please tell us about that of student accommodation. We are experiencing exceptional demand for Londonist residences, and the numbers have eclipsed preceding years. The return and relevance of campus-based learning have played a significant role in the desire for these PBSA fa cilities, and the trend post covid is on an upward trajecto ry. Flexible short- and long-term stays have also appealed to a broader section of the student community, satisfying the needs of people pursuing short courses and more ex tended degree programmes. Studio room models have also gained popularity with students who book with us. We’ve also noticed a high value placed by students on residen ces with ancillary facilities and services such as commu nal areas, gym facilities, and organised activities. Students also enquire more about Londonist central locations, due to the benefit of a shorter commute and reduced reliance on public transport. Demographically, there has been an incredible demand from Chinese and Indian students, who are more likely to pursue postgraduate opportunities. The reinstatement of the post-study work visa now means International graduates can now remain in the UK for 2 years or 3 years if studying at the Ph.D. level once they have com pleted their degree to work or search for work. It aligns the UK with the US and other destinations for internation al students. The sector is also experi encing a rise in demand from second and third-year students and postgraduates. Parents are now choosing supportive, well-managed Londonist stu dent residences over non-managed shared homes, con sidered the least safe option. It leaves the PBSA and BTR (Buy To Rent) sectors attractive propositions. At Londonist, we constantly explore innovative technolo gy solutions to enhance the experience we provide to stu dents. We developed a virtual reality tour allowing students to discover and experience our premium accommodation facilities remotely. An innovative application built by our team with integrations to event discovery programs. We are one of the few companies to combine a self-serve stu dent application with events and experience discovery. Having tracked trends in the accommodation sector over the past year, we have responded by launching an online Student Portal offering students a one-stop destination for managing reservations for London attractions and servi ces. This sync allows students to discover local events, ex periences, and discounted products. Students can also use the student portal to access check-in and check-out times & view invoices. Students are exposed to experiences from Historic Royal Palaces, Evan Evans, Uber Boat, Liverpool Football Club, British Airways, Up the O2 & many more.

94LUXURY INTERVIEW 125 | EDITION

Mrs. Antony de Nassau, Professors Without Borders is unprecedented and such kinds of initiatives are an acute need of the modern world. Who can participate in this project and how does the educational process take place?

The vision of Professors Without Borders is to build a community of passionate educators dedicated to ensuring holistic higher edu cation experiences worldwide, thereby equipping students to have the skills to be inspiring leaders and have a meaningful impact in their communities. We have a large roster of incredible professors from all corners of the world who are experts in their discipline and eager to share their knowledge with people who might not have access to certain educational experiences. However, we are always accepting inspiring volunteer professors who want to get involved in the noble mission of increasing equal access in edu cation; they can start the process by registering at online.prowi bo.com. Similarly, we have a registry of equally amazing partners who work with us to organize programmes where we can connect our professors to students. Professors Without Borders’ number one priority is to understand our partner’s needs and desires and im plement a programme that meets their expectations and ameliorate the student’s experience.

What key events have you already planned in the framework of Pro fessors Without Borders?

curating our reality. By creating artistic objects, we are sculpting ourselves. This is the operative engine of Human Highness design. You find it at human-highness.com. The Human Highness Wo man. Instead of focusing on her race, age, marital status, natio nality or occupation, we visualize a woman who constantly strives to become the best version of herself, keeping her head held high based on her own life values. She is inspired to give those around her because of her sense of gratitude, love and abundance. She is emerging from deep within herself to her highest potential. Human Highness collaborates with artist and creative icon Tho mas Iser to launch its first Human Highness X Thomas Iser NFT collection. The collection, #universalhumanity, was inspired by the sustainable development goals (SDGs) and aims at raising awareness on some global topics like diversity, peace, and climate change. The artistic imageries that are part of this collection are meant to give hope, mark resilience, and empower people. This very special collaboration brings exclusivity, street art, and digital creation to the next level available on Makersplace.

My children and my husband are pure bliss. I feel very lucky and privileged to have them in my life. What makes me truly happy is to connect with people. I like to meet new friends and find their matching piece in my network. It gives me a great deal of satisfaction to then see two of my friends come together and explore common interests.

Since our inception we have im plemented a wide variety of pro grammes in dozens of different countries. As we are slowly emerging from the pandemic and travel restrictions have been cancelled, we hit the ground running with our in-person prog rammes again. This year, we have already had successful projects in Kenya, Nigeria, Thailand, Malaysia, Guinea, Uganda, and Se negal. In September, we will be heading to Kathmandu with a new partner: the Institute of Integrated Development Studies with pro fessors from Mauritius, the United Kingdom, and Brazil. We also have the ThinkTanks, multiple publications, and will be hosting the first Professors Without Borders Gala later this year to help fund more of our work in the future.

Please tell us more about Fashion Label Human Highness. What is its vision and mission?

Human Highness is a luxury sustainable womenswear brand that celebrates balance, creativity and timeless beauty in simplicity. We believe in elegance with a touch of a super heroic upliftment. For us it’s important to work closely with the artisans who are making our products and we choose materials based upon sustainability and creativity. Each piece is handcrafted and painstakingly tai lored in Estonia. We are in no way perfect and will never claim to be, but aim to be transparent and hold ourselves accountable to you - if we together empower each other to be centered by love then only good can grow out of it. By designing our vision, we are designing our consciousness. By curating our dreams, we are

What are the most crucial issues that contemporary society should pay attention to? How do you see their solutions?

Our society lacks attention. We are constantly being disturbed by pings of new tweets, messages, postings etc. Our society has lost the abi lity to focus being it on a one-toone dialogue, being it on forming personal relationships or solving current problems. We urgently need to go offline and look around us and realise what we have and where this society stands. Social media is a cancer not only poisoning our society and trying to divide us but also the biggest waste of time since human life existence. As a mother of 4 this worries me daily. We in the west live in a world full of abundance and infinite possibilities but are as close as never before to steer the ship into the iceberg. Our political system unfortunately seems to be too rigid to react in the appropriate time to the biggest chal lenges we face: climate change will not only lead to more extreme weather events and therefore higher mortality but also the laziness of our western lifestyles will make us vulnerable to understand these changes before we have lost.

Seeing the fruits of your labour is undoubtedly the source of satisfaction. What else makes you happy?

My children and my husband are pure bliss. I feel very lucky and privileged to have them in my life. What makes me truly happy is to connect with people. I like to meet new friends and find their matching piece in my network. It gives me a great deal of satis faction to then see two of my friends come together and explore common interests. I have friends who created successful endea vours with one another, friends who fell in love even got married, and I love that wherever I go in the world there is always someone I know that I can visit and catch up with.

To do this, she has to deliver non-commoditized solutions and highly personalised therapy or coaching.

Mrs. Polner, what are the hallmarks of your “HIGH LIFE METHOD”? What is your mission as a spe cialist?

My transformational method is designed to transform your life or specific areas of it radically rather than just adding va lue to it. I want you to have a clear vision of your current situation, the reality, true motives and inner thoughts. You can't go to the future without the analysis of your past.

When experience and patterns become conscious, my clients stop playing the same old games; they give up their addic tions, make the best choices and find great limitless sources for in trinsic motivation.

As an anxiety expert, I support my clients in this field too. In modern life, anxiety has become the number 1 motivation for achieving goals. Driven by fear, you might go far but not for long. Extrinsic moti vation such as sex, money, fame etc. will give you energy to achieve but will take your happiness, fun and life from you, burned out/de pressed, tired/fed up with life, addicted and lonely.

The transformation will lead you to healthy, longevity lifestyle full of energy, success, great sex, creativity, fun and joy. Be ready for life with NATURAL HIGHS & NO LIMITS.

I equip my clients with a clear sense of purpose and meaning, confidence and autonomy. The beautiful soul needs a beau tiful body. The transformation will lead you to healthy, lon gevity lifestyle full of energy, success, great sex, creativity, fun and joy.

SUCCESS. In the modern world, the feeling of anxiety is the stick that drives us up the chain of desire. The feeling of success is the carrot that awaits us at the top of the chain. Success is very much like a drug: it makes you feel good, you don't know what you are missing until you experience it. Once you experience it, you want more; and in your at tempts to recapture that first high, you will have to resort to ever bigger "doses." If success is like a drug, some drugs are like success: a cocaine high, very much resembles the rush of success. Once people ex perience success, something strange happens. They recognize that success feels very, very good: it may not be as intense as an orgasm, but it is longer lasting and un like an orgasm, is multidimensional in the way it feels good.

Having recognized this, people form a new goal for them selves: to obtain the feeling of success for its own sake. After a while that strive for success will leave you feeling empty, unmotivated, depressed or burned out. I help my cli ents to find and identify their Massive Transformational Pur pose. After you are equipped with the MTP, you enter into a WHOLE NEW WORLD, where success is inevitable. This is what is called THE HIGH LIFE.

Alina Polner: “Your future depends on many things, but mostly upon you.”

One of your catchphrases is the following: “The higher the anxiety, the greater the po tential.” What do you mean?

The feeling of anxiety physiologically is al most the same as the feeling of excitement. Anxiety can be transformed into your super power, an unlimited source of motivation, energy and success. Know your Anxiety. Your early life beliefs, values, experiences, assumptions, and expectations have all been wired in your brain, most of it is unconscious for you. Imagine how much energy, time and money you burn to numb yourself? The trauma drama often becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy or pattern. You can have it ALL, be successful, happy and healthy, to love and be loved - LIVE WITHOUT ANXIETY. To live a purposeful life with NO FEAR you have to acknowledge Who You Are. I help my clients to figure out their inner conflicts, unleash their Shadow talents and gifts and identify their unique purpose in life.

What are the main “enemies” for a person to become what he/she ought to be or could be?

We live in a fast pace world, HIGH ON DO PAMINE. Dopamine is important in our everyday life, outside the feelings of pleasure. It plays a role in everything from your moti vation to mood & memory. Having a healthy level of dopamine is necessary. If your body doesn’t produce enough, it can lead to prob lems such as depression, insomnia, lack of motivation & a low libido.

When does dopamine become a problem?

Dopamine releases are responsible for peo ple becoming addicted. When dopamine releasing activities: sex, work, Instagram, shopping, alcohol, drugs, traveling, eating, training etc., become the coping mechanism with stress, anxiety, low self-esteem & nega tive emotion. You are spiraling in trouble. It starts with rejection of the reality and a fake feeling of being in control. The brain will al ways find a way to justify your choices and actions, as it wants to have the simplest do pamine release, with the least effort needed. For example: A Detox starting on Monday, a rare Birkin bag, shopping, a fashion show, a new car, a private jet, a new girlfriend/boy friend. All of the above gives you a motiva tion for becoming a better version of yourself and false sense of hope, causing more anxie ty afterwards.

When you receive your delivery from Her mès, build your super yacht, get a model girlfriend, bidding for the Picasso or acquir ing your rare classic car, you feel your life

98LUXURY INTERVIEW 125 | EDITION

is about to change for better but unfortu nately this is not for very long & it will not fulfill you. This will constantly be repeated until you get a new goal, and go after it. The same pattern is happening again and again until the realisation comes. You are in a do pamine hole. Remember one thing there is never enough of dopamine, you can't win this game.

Thinking of getting yourself out of this? Change is possible. This is the first step. I consult my clients on how to start living a purposeful fulfilling life. Entailing you with truly luxury lifestyle choices. Be ready for life with NATURAL HIGHS & NO LIMITS.

Why does one need a consultant?

“Everyone needs a coach” Bill Gates says. World’s most wildly successful people have a consultant/coach. Modern man lives under the illusion that he knows what he wants, while he actually knows what he is supposed to want.

What we see now is an unprecedented amount of people trying to find out WHO THEY ARE. By choosing to believe A GURU, FORTUNETELLER, MENTOR, SHAMAN, ASTROLOGY or HUMAN DESIGN.

All of the above-mentioned issues are very helpful on your path to autonomy, BUT you are THE EXPERT of yourself, this is your JOB to figure it out. With NO SHORT CUTS.

In order to live THE HIGH LIFE you NEED to have a REQUEST FOR IT.

It is an expensive, time-consuming, some times unpleasant, or even painful process which makes a TRULY LUXURY result, which is YOU.

I can't help everyone; my clients choose me intuitively and never regret.

If you are an achiever, love life, ready to as sess your past and ambitious enough for a limitless future. I am your Coach.

THE HIGH LIFE is DANGEROUS, SEXY, FULL OF ENERGY, LOVE & MOTIVA TION, SUCCESS, FUN, OPPORTUNITIES & FLOW.

How do you work with your clients?

Mutual, perpetual NDA comes first. The na ture of consultation and the fact of it remain confidential for the ultimate comfort and confidence. The key to success is the “che mistry” and alignment between the client and the coach; it dramatically increases the success rate and otherwise. This orientation on client success is why I don't work online.

INSTITUT AUF DEM ROSENBERG

The Space Habitat

Pioneering Swiss boarding school Institut auf dem Rosenberg has recently unveiled the Rosenberg Space Habitat (RSH), which will serve as an experimental lab for students to explore and actively shape the future of humanity on our planet and beyond.

The world’s tallest 3D-printed polymer structure

100LUXURY MODERN SOLUTIONS 125 | EDITION

Co-created by Rosenberg students and SAGA Space Archi tects with sustainable materials to intentionally fit inside SpaceX’s Starship rocket, the structure is the world's tallest 3D-printed polymer structure measuring 23-feet high. The RSH will be a site of research for students to learn about the fundamen tal conditions and architectural designs humans need to thrive, whether on Earth or in space. The project is based on the vision of planet-centred and need-lead innovation, teaching students not to fear new technology, but to embrace it and design it to its next generation.

“At Rosenberg, infusing education with real-life context is at the heart of what we do, rather than focusing on pure academics alone,” said Bernhard Gademann, Director General of Rosenberg. “Our aim is to provide future leaders with early exposure to the question of advanced space exploration, allowing our students to approach and solve these complex questions from a collaborative and holistic point of view.”

SAGA Space Architects and Rosenberg students (ages six to 18) closely collaborated over two years to execute the vessel’s design, which started with creative problem solving activities during SAGA Space’s Lunar mission in Greenland. Inspired by this ex perience, students decided to closely collaborate with SAGA to

design a Rosenberg Habitat to house Rosenberg’s resident robot Spot® by partner Boston Dynamics® with initial creative concepts and paper models. The RSH’s outer shell was 3D-printed at a large scale in Milan, while the interior structure was built in Copen hagen in collaboration with high-tech partners Camozzi and In gersol. The use of polymer in 3D printing is revolutionary, as it provides more versatility than concrete that is used in most 3D printed structures. The Rosenberg-specific recipe includes a UV stabilizer that results in a flexible, yet durable material that is recy clable – it can be broken down and reprinted into a different struc ture. The three-storey habitat is built to house a crew of two and is used as a hands-on research centre where students can be engaged in immersive learning modules that activate creative problem solving. The first floor is dedicated to hygiene, lab research, and workshop facilities to use robots from other partners such as ABB for 3D or future delivery multifunctional co-bots; the second is designed for work, recreation, and entertainment; and the third is intended for privacy and rest. With mental wellbeing and sustain ability at the forefront of the design, the space and Vitra furniture are designed to be multi-functional, allowing for multiple activi ties within the limited vessel. Experiments conducted from the RSH will explore human well-being, using facilities to test hard

ware and software tools and applications, and to develop moni toring tools for remote mission control systems. Learners will also explore the importance of sensory stimulation in remote living environments with light, sound, and smell installations.

Valuable experiential learning projects will enhance skills in systems-thinking by working with automated mechatronics and observing independent communication and deeper learning of artificial intelligence.

“The Rosenberg Space Habitat is state-of-the-art in analogue space habitats. It was developed in record time from initial sketches to the final fully functioning habitat in just months,” said Sebastian Frederiksen, Founder of SAGA Space Architects.

“Furthermore, this is a great example of how working with outer space is pushing the boundaries of technology and architecture here on Earth as well, as this is the tallest 3D-printed plastic ‘house’ in the world. This is just the beginning of the habitat, and now the research and education begin. Hopefully, we are going to learn a lot about living on the Moon.”

Additional features of the RSH include a drone port and Spot®, which can go on automated walks, take photos, and collect data in the adjacent Climate Garden, a further collaboration with ETH Zurich. The RSH is housed in Rosenberg’s self-sustain ing Future Park, a state-of-the-art outdoor experimental space powered by wind trees where students can undertake projects guided by Rosenberg Artisans (teachers) and expert partners in the fields of science, technology, and design.

LONDON CONCOURS 2022

CLASSIC CAR SPECTACULAR SHOW

The London Concours, presented by Montres Breguet, closed its doors following three sold out days, with over 8,000 guests and fabulous cars in a glorious setting. Hosted at the Honourable Artillery Company, a five-acre oa sis of green close to Bank, the event played host to over 100 of the finest privately owned vehicles, spanning over 100 years of motoring vehicles.

The final day of this year’s event was the ever popular ‘Su percar Day’, presented by Amari Lifestyle, in association with Drivers Union. On its third day, the show welcomed the exclusive supercar owners club, which brought along 50 of its members’ finest cars, gracing the HAC lawns alongside 100 of the world’s rarest and most collectible cars. Cars on display ranged from the fearsome Lam borghini Diablo SV to its modern successor, the equal ly wild Aventador SV, from the McLaren 675LT to the stripped-out Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale – along with everything in between.

In all, around 100 cars were on display across eight clas ses. The main concours event classes included the ‘Pursuit

of Speed’, ‘Great Marques – Mercedes-Benz’, the ‘Japa nese Jewels’ and ‘The Italian Spiders’. Each of the classes was packed with rarities, from the Ferrari 250 GT Cali fornia SWB to the Mercedes-Benz 300SL ‘Gullwing’ and the Ferrari F50, but as ever there could only be one ‘Best in Show’. After much deliberation the London Concours’ expert committee of 17 judges settled on the wonderful 1967 Toyota 2000GT as the overall winner, rising to the top of an exceptional field. Ultra-rare - one of just 351 cars built - the 2000GT was introduced with the help of Yamaha to act as a halo model for Toyota’s range. With its stunning looks, sweet straight-six and multitude hightech features - the GT certainly delivered on its brief. The judges were all very taken by this bona fide Japanese Jewel, which now rightfully ranks among the most cove ted classics of all.

Elsewhere, the prestigious Chairman’s Award - given each year to the car that the London Concours’ chairman would most like to take home from the event – went to one of the most stunning Ferraris - perhaps one of the

most stylish motor cars of all - the Ferrari 250 GT Ca lifornia SWB. This nigh-on priceless drop top brought a healthy dose of Modenese glamour to event, looking very much at home on the sunkissed lawns of the HAC, leaving all who gazed upon it firmly in its thrall. Other show winners included the mighty, twin turbocharged V8 Koenigsegg Agera S in the ‘Pursuit of Speed’ class, the graceful Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing in the ‘Great Marques: Mercedes’ category, with the Cadillac Sedan De Ville triumphing in the ‘Fins and Chrome’ class, which ce lebrated the most outrageous ‘50s and ‘60s American me tal. Outside the main concours classes, there were plenty of other astonishing cars on display. The ‘Coachbuilts and Concepts’ display assembled a wonderful range of one off vehicles, including the joystick driven Mercedes-Benz F200 Imagination Concept from 1996, while the ‘Ode to Ducati’ delivered some stunning two wheeled machinery, including the ultra-high performance, 205bhp, 155kg, 1199 Superleggera of 2014.

In all, around 100 cars were on display across eight classes at London Concours 2022.

Andrew Evans, London Concours director, said: “As the sun set on the 6th edition of our event, and the revellers dispersed after a packed third day of London Concours 2022, we can reflect on another highly successful show. The Super car Day was once again extremely popular, with 50 of the finest su percars adding to the already fan tastic line up of 100 rare and col lectable, privately owned vehicles. With everything from glamourous Italian Spiders to the selection of Japanese road racers in the Japa nese Jewels category, there was re ally something for everyone at this year’s event – a refrain we heard from countless guests. I’d like to sincerely thank all our partners for making the London Concours such a resounding success. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace in September, and back to the HAC in the June of 2023.” The London Concours dates for 2023 are already confirmed.

The show is going to happen between the 6th and 8th of June 2023. Save these days in your calendar and visit the event to see the most extraordinary and rare cars.
