MIKE TOMA, GESHER (May) Mike sets the bar in terms of producing original programming and capitalizing on opportunities to grow in his work. For example, he served as an archery instructor trainer and single-handedly developed Stop-Motion Animation and Digital Photography classes.

RHIANNON SIMPSON, COFFEE SHOP (June) Rhiannon took the lead as the Coffee Shop began accepting credit cards.

She worked with our vendor to learn the new system, developed written instructions, coached fellow staff members, and offered troubleshooting solutions, ultimately resulting in increased revenue for the JCC.

Kids Eat Free Every Saturday Night*

Guests must check in at the Main Desk and be accompanied by a Member at all times while visiting the JCC. All guests ages 16+ must present a photo ID upon entering the facility and sign a guest agreement each time they visit. Children 10 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. An adult guest (ages 16+) can visit the JCC a maximum of five visits within one calendar year.

Tour de Cure 2013

It was our third year representing the JCC in the Tour de Cure. 44 people joined our team, riding distances between 15 and 62.5 miles. Together, we raised almost $16,000 (with money still coming in) to help the ADA fight diabetes. Registration for the 2014 Tour opens in October. Wellness Programs Parkinson’s Class

Fall sessions begin Oct 14 Dance Studio Join this series of eight-week group exercise classes anytime.

Designed for individuals with varying stages of Parkinson’s disease. Benefits include improved flexibility of lower back and hip flexors, posture, and balance; increased body awareness; strength building and the ability to get up from a chair or the floor; and exercise modifications to meet individual needs. An evaluation must be completed by participants in order to be placed into one of the following classes: Stretching the Limits I (Beginner) Tuesdays & Fridays, 11am-12pm This class is designed for those who have limited ability when it comes to walking or getting up from a chair. No floor work is performed in this class; all exercises may be performed in a chair.
