The birth of an artwork often combines with giving life to an idea: the painter in the white canvas projects and materializes his emotions, the sculptor, starting from an insignificant stone slab, extracts its soul giving it a new life, the photographer from an apparently dark and usual scene, thanks to his keen eye, to the technique and speed of the shot, steals an unique moment and fixes it in his film forever. Artworks, all of these, born from the desire to create something eternal through their own hands and ingenuity, that can be told through the artist. It will be the time that will determine and place the artwork in the heritage of humanity. Intuition, futuristic vision, incentive and inspiration for the new generations, will decide the destiny of an artwork and consequently the entire professional and non-‐ professional life of a single artist. The gesture of changing the destiny of a simple wood abandoned to the shore of the sea, river or lake, is a gesture that underlines the high spiritual sensitivity of those who do it. Saving a wood is not easy, the cleaning process is very complex and requires attention, love and time-‐consuming, the sanding should be careful in maintaining the original form dating back to the time of discovery. The result takes us back to the famous fairy tale of Pinocchio: a trunk becomes a wooden child but with a soul. Tiki's artworks are sculptures that have received a soul through a simple gesture of love and care, covering and adorning them with many recycled materials and specifically reworked to "embellish" the wood like a jewel. Iridescent artworks, because they change imperceptibly over time with the twisting and flexing of fresh wood; ephemeral artworks cause they degrade inexorably due to the material they are made of. The fibers of the trees change according to the species and the place in which they grow: the air, the water and the wind define unique characteristics for each specimen. We can accumulate them to Aboriginal jewelry received as gifts or precious trophies. Ethnic group of great spiritual and intellectual heritage, considered quite rightly the most ancient in the world, the aboriginal one has always focused and organized its life on respect, devotion and homage to the Earth, the only source of inspiration and faith for this people, who has known, since the dawn of their civilization, living in perfect balance and harmony with the external environment and all the living beings that fill it. Or they can be protagonists of tribal fairy tales, offered in sacrifice to the deities of the forest, enveloped in a magical aura and capable of spreading a vivifying power in natural environments, forests, gardens and museums. The common thread is the communion of man with nature and in particular with the earth. Nature gives raw materials to create magnificent objects that combine functionality and essential design with unprecedented beauty.
