Mad Cow Theatre Mad Cow Theatre now in our 23rd season, is downtown Orlando’s destination for professional theatre. MCT was founded on the belief that the theatre is a dynamic and powerful means of social understanding, as well as a hugely entertaining art form. Through the combination of passionate, skillful acting and compelling, insightful writing, nurtured by an attentive and ever-changing process, Mad Cow presents entertaining works of theatre to an ever-widening audience — promoting, enhancing, and celebrating the human condition through art. A mainstay of the company is its dedication to the process of creating theatre, incorporating in-depth rehearsal, and research periods along with a nurturing collaborative process. Boesman and Lena PATRICK BREZYAN (Director) Patrick Brezyan (Director) is thrilled to make his directing debut at Mad Cow with Boesman and Lena. Rapture, Blister, Burn (Don) and Outside Mullingar (Anthony). Directing: The Diary of Anne Frank (Shawnee Playhouse Northeastern PA Theatrical Alliance, Best Director); The Glass Menagerie (Milford Theatre, PA). Patrick has directed and produced his own works, Bombers and Getting to Know. He’s also directed environmental improvisation at Renaissance and Wild West Festivals. Patrick thanks his incredibly talented and insightful cast; his artistic collaborators; his family; and all his teachers. Peace

RACHEL FINLEY (Lena) Earned her BFA at Carnegie Mellon University and an MFA at Florida Atlantic University. Apperiances: The First Witch/Lady Macduff; The Old Settler (New City Player) and set design for The African Heritage Cultural Arts Center’s production of The Colored Museum. Directing: For Colored Girls Who’ve Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enough; Pompano Beach Cultural Center and developing a new work; All That Remains for The Human Stage. Performance credits include The Amish Project, Clybourne Park, and Shipwrecked (Mad Cow); Crumbs from the Table of Joy, The Little Prince, and Our Town (freeFall Theatre); and Ruined (GableStage). graduated from Central High School, and received a B.S. in business management from Alabama State University in Montgomery. Leroy is happy to return to Mad Cow after his most recent appearence as Cal in Little Foxes. He lives by a quote his mother gave him: “I may give out, but I will never give up.” He believes that acting explores all human emotions and gives clarity to our world. SEAN POWELL (Lighting and Sound Designer)) is thankful to be back at Mad Cow to bring light and sound to this beautiful story. He has designed over 30 productions across the country. Most recently he designed Boeing, Boeing at Maples Repertory Theatre, The Whipping Man at Shadowland Stages, I Love You Because at the Gene Frankel Theatre in NYC and Murder Ballad at Two Way Street theatre in NC. ATHOL FUGARD is an internationally acclaimed South African playwright whose best-known work deals with the political and social upheaval of the apartheid system in South Africa. He was educated at the University of Cape Town. His plays include The Captain’s Tiger; Valley Song; My Children! My Africa!; A Lesson From Aloes, The Island; and the award-winning Sizwe Banzi is Dead. Mr. Fugard has received six honorary degrees from esteemed colleges and is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature.
