Dinner with Booker T. offers an inside historical look intothe life of one of America’s greatest orators, educators,presidential advisors, and a leader in advancing Black Americans during the late 19th and early 20th centuries,Mr. Booker T. Washington. Based on his rise from slavery,to student, to educator, to national and worldwide leader, this 70-minute work is comprised of original rhetoric, research, song, dance, speeches, historical dialogue, and visual presentations. In this powerful one-man show, Darryl Reuben Hall takes the audience on a journey into the life of Booker T. Washington by portraying the many friends and enemies that kept him strong in the fight for equality. HISTORY OF THE SHOW

Dinner with Booker T. WILLIAM ANTHONY (Sound Design) began a career in sound technology over two decades ago. After years of honing his craft in the corporate events industry, William got the opportunity to work as a sound designer and sound engineer for several musical theatre productions in the Central Florida area. His passion for music production and sound design joined with his technical skill proved to be a recipe for success and creative fulfillment. After taking several years off from the industry to start a family, William returns to the Central Florida theatrical scene with Mad Cow Theatre’s production of A Year With Frog and Toad.

stage manager, she freelanced throughout NYC in off off-Broadway theater productions. As assistant to the managing director of Circle in the Square Theatre, her production highlights include: The Rose Tattoo by Tennessee Williams, starring Mercedes Ruehl; The Shadow Box by Michael Cristofer, starring Marlo Thomas and Estelle Parsons; and The Grandparent Connection, starring Sherry Glaser, Leonard Nimoy, and Ben Vereen. Also while in NYC, Debbie studied under Broadway lighting designers Jennifer Tipton and Howell Binkley, as well as at a workshop at NYU. LISA BUCK (Properties Master) Set designs include The Road to Mecca, Mrs. Warren’s Profession, and Painting Churches (Mad Cow Theatre), Don Pasquale, Abduction from the Seraglio, and Carmina Burana (Orlando Opera), Madama Butterfly, II Barbiere di Siviglia, Tosca, and The Magic Flute (Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra) The Tender Land (UCF). Lisa studied painting at Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, and Cobalt Studios. She has won numerous awards for her painting and has written how-to-paint articles for North Light Publications.

PAUL BEDFORD (Set Design) comes to Mad Cow after 27 years as entertainment production manager for Walt Disney World. He has also worked extensively for local and regional theatres as scenic/lghting designer, technical director, production manager, and stage manager. Paul also is a theatre adjudicator for thespian festivals as well as the Applause Awards. Paul also is part of the Super Bowl entertainment production team. DEBBIE BRILEY (Lighting Design) is a native of North Carolina, but she now calls Orlando home. She is a theater arts graduate of East Carolina University. She moved to NYC after receiving an internship at The Juilliard School. As a lighting designer and
