ANTALIS PACKAGING APPOINTS JAKE WOOLMER Finding packaging machinery solutions to alleviate the pressures of everyday distribution and packaging is often challenging and complex. Antalis Packaging has solutions that are ready for these difficult challenges and that can keep products moving in the most efficient and costeffective way possible. To support this role Antalis has appointed Jake Woolmer to the role of Machinery Sales Manager. Jake will help customers in the South of the UK with recommendations and advice on a range of machinery including Lantech and Masterline machines. He will also assist customers with support for the wide range of Antalis Packaging consumables. Jake’s focus will be to advise new and established businesses on the many advantages’ machines can bring to automating packaging. He’ll be able to analyse clients packaging use, review operations
and distribution set up, and give recommendations and solutions to help them make improvements
to their packaging operation. By adding the right machinery or automation businesses can speed up packaging times, improve efficiencies and save on materials by the introduction of, for example, pallet wrappers, case erectors and strapping equipment. BPIF APPOINTS NEW PRESIDENT The British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF) has appointed current Vice President, Ian Wilton as President at their 12th Annual General Meeting, and bid farewell to outgoing President, Darren Coxon, following a four year tenure. Charles Jarrold, British Printing Industries Federation CEO, comments: “I’d like to thank Darren for all the support, advice and challenge that he’s given as President. He steps down from the role of President with the BPIF a strong organisation, able to support the sector now and in future, and that’s a credit to his leadership of the Board. The sector as a whole owes a debt of gratitude to the support he’s given. I’m looking forward to the next stage of development under Ian’s Presidency, where we’ll benefit both from his huge industry experience, and knowledge of the BPIF and the role it can play.” Ian Wilton is currently Operations Director at CDS, a communications
agency who have core service areas of Insight, Content, Digital, Print and Technology. Having been involved in the print and communications industry all his life, Ian left school and undertook an apprenticeship as a printer in a local company – this is where his passion for the sector started. He’s held various management positions throughout his career – for the last 10 years at director level. During his first President’s address, Ian commented: “I am delighted to be able to accept the position of President, and I believe the role of the BPIF is very important to the industry that has been able to provide such great support to the businesses that I’ve worked with over the years, and I now have the opportunity to give something back, and to ensure it continues to develop its support and services for the industries future. I, alongside the nonexecutive directors will continue to challenge the executive team to ensure the members are at the foremost of all the decisions we make. NEW MANAGEMENT ANNOUNCED AT ENFOCUS Enfocus, a leader in PDF quality control, advanced PDF editing and workflow automation for the graphic arts industry announces changes in management at several key roles. After three years of service as General Manager of Enfocus, Wim Fransen has accepted a new challenge at their parent company, Esko. The company is very grateful for Wim’s contributions to the development and growth of Enfocus. He is sure to be a success in his new role at Esko. Effective immediately, Tomas Van Rossom will succeed Wim as General Manager of Enfocus. Tomas Van Rossom has been with Enfocus since 2016. He started his career at Enfocus as Sales Operations manager and has been the Enfocus Sales Director, leading the global sales team covering OEM sales, channel sales and e-commerce since 2017.
