Merediths Whether you are new to the dining scene or a seasoned veteran, Merediths restaurant is a New Zealand dining experience that cannot be missed. Chef Michael Meredith and his partner Yosipa started Merediths four and a ½ years ago and now creates one of the most unique degustation menus in the country. Michael believes in sourcing the best local and seasonal ingredients when designing his exquisite nine course degustation menu, which is available on Friday and Saturday evenings with an optional wine match for each dish. From Tuesday to Thursday evenings and for lunch service, Merediths offer a six course or an eight course degustation menu with optional wine matches. Vegetarian options are also available for all menus. The restaurant seats a maximum of forty people in three intimate dining rooms. Bookings are essential and the attentive team at Merediths look forward to meeting you and creating a memorable experience.

Food at Wharepuke Food at Wharepuke is situated in the subtropical gardens of Wharepuke in Kerikeri, Northland New Zealand. The restaurant, which used to be a former army barracks that dates back to 1942, is now owned by Colin Ashton and Rachael Goldfinch, who have travelled the world extensively to experience the world’s best food. Colin trained in London with Gary Rhodes and has used his skills and knowledge and even cooked on tour for Shania Twain and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Lemon and stone fruits with quince, fig and a subtle toast in the background, this 4 star wine is the perfect wine to compliment a summers day. The fruit for this wine was grown on the Judd Vineyard in Gisborne, handpicked then crushed and de-stemmed before being gently pressed to tank. Wild ferment was initiated in tank and then juice was transferred to French barriques (1/3rd new) where indigenous fermentation and malolactic fermentation took place. This wine spent 14mhts in oak before being bottled.
