What can buyers expect from your 2019 MMGC draft?

“We’ve hand picked our draft for Magic Millions and have focused on presenting great physicals that can all move well, with a good mixture of proven and up and coming young stallions to choose from.”

Which particular yearling in recent years gave you the most pleasant surprise with the sale price Bluebloods asked Kayley Johnson...

“We always loved the Nicconi - Rhythm Beat colt, he was a lovely foal and although we expected him to fetch six figures we were very pleased when he sold for $200,000 last year. It was such a great result out of a mare we paid $19,000 for plus he has gone in to the stables of Matt Cumani and looks to be progressing well.”

How has technology and IT affected and influenced your business?

“We are very active on Facebook and Twitter and social media is an excellent platform to help promote our business. Our owners appreciate being able to have direct access to us on the phone and love getting the videos of mares and foals we take on the feed runs via What’s App.”

If you had to eat one thing for every meal going forward, what would it be? “Mexican!”

If you could work on only one project for the next year, what would it be?

“We would love a full year to have a crack at finishing renovating our house, we have been working on it for ten years now, it has been quite a lengthy project!”

If you could witness any event past, present or future, what would it be? “Woodstock, and in racing it would’ve been great to see Phar Lap in action.”
