What’s splashin’, seals!
HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope everyone was able to start 2025 off right. Unfortunately, winter break has ended and we’re back to school, but I was so excited to see my friends again! While being on break was fun, I missed being able to talk to my school friends on a regular basis. Other than that, I hope you all had a good winter, and let’s make this year the best one yet! SPLASH OUT!

Happy January my lovely seals!
New year, same love for being your LTG! I am ecstatic to be going into 2025 alongside my precious sealies. With only a few more months left of the term, I reflect and celebrate the amazing accomplishments we’ve made together. Surpassing our service goal in December made me the happiest LTG I could be. Your hard work shines through and motivates me out of the darkest days. Till next month!

Arcadia | Foothill Unity Center
Hi seals! On December 20th, we attended the Holiday Distribution at our nearby Foothills Unity Center. We helped put together bags with dry goods, as well as distributing them to the cars that passed by in the drivethrough. It felt amazing to give to people at such a happy and joyful time. We hope you all had fun and a good holiday sealies!

Arcadia | Holiday Social
On December 14th, Arcadia Key Club collaborated with Arcadia Kare 4 Kids in a Holiday social/drive where members donated items such as books, clothing, and toys to the Foothills Unity Center. There, we were able to get around 200 donations, a perfect way to get us into the holiday spirit. Additionally, we sold many different kinds of snacks such as popcorn, soda, hot chocolate, and chips, adding to funds that we can donate to PTP. Finally, members were able to participate in bookmark making and cookie decorating, adding a little bit of fun into a social prefect for getting everyone in the holiday mood.

Arroyo | Rose Floats
Our Kiwanis family comes together each December to volunteer at Rose Floats, a challenging yet exciting event. This year, volunteers sifted flower petals, decorated walls with grinded white rice, cut flowers, and even glued onion seeds onto the bottom of a wooden plane! Although tiring, our sealies pushed through and worked a whopping total of 166 hours. To everyone who attended, thank you for your hard work! #drydayheros
Baldwin Park | Breakfast with Santa
How fun is it to provide a meal and activities for the local community to celebrate everyone’s favorite holiday, Christmas? On December 14th, our members decided to volunteer at Baldwin Park’s annual Breakfast with Santa event at our Arts and Recreational Center. It was a great opportunity for us to introduce to the community what Key Club was while interacting with our school’s National Honor Society as well as providing great customer service to everyone who wanted a delicious breakfast

Los Altos | Rose Floats
Our Los Altos Key Club members were granted the opportunity to work on the Rose Floats from the dates 12/07-12/31 through Region 13. These members did multiple jobs and different tasks. Usually, our members arrive at the Decorating Company in the morning and cut flower petals for others to decorate the floats with. Our members also get the chance to directly decorate the float with these cut flower petals and glue them on with brushes onto the floats, depending on their job. Other jobs our members were able to partake in included, organizing vials for roses to be put in, organizing roses for those vials, and cleaning up the decorating company to ensure efficiency throughout the workplace. Overall, our members were able to impact the decorating of the Rose Floats by making the process more efficient.

Sierra Vista | Basket Distribution
On December 14, our club members volunteered at our city’s basket distribution. Members who participated were put on different tasks like boxing the food and passing it out to those in need. The event served as a great opportunity for those looking for a close by event and was a great way for our club to help give to the less fortunate during the time of giving. This was our last event of the year which made it even more meaningful as we could finish the year off helping our city.
