The Sealy News: Division 35 West Newsletter | February 2025
What’s SPLASHING, seals!
Can you believe we’re in the final stretch of our term? I’m so excited but also kind of sad because I loved this term and gave it all I had. Speaking of love, it’s February which is the month of Valentine’s Day! Whether you spent it with someone or had a day to yourself, I hope you were able to enjoy it. I spent Valentine’s weekend volunteering at a robotics competition! Seeing the teams was really cool because I would be against a number of them in an upcoming tournament. Moving on, let’s finish this term off strong and I hope you enjoy this Valentines themed newsletter!
Happy February loves!
This is my favorite time of the year. There is so much love in the air and the color PINK! I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day! Whether you spent it with loved ones or by yourself watching romcoms, this holiday is for love and that doesn’t mean just significant others! I love YOU all. We only have 66 days left of the term. Make the most out of everything!

Sierra Vista | BP Basketball Fundraiser
Throughout the month of January, our club has fundraised by selling every Monday at our cities adult basketball league. With the help of members who signed up, we sold sodas, water, and chips. The money fundraised throughout the month will be used to help possibly fund the fees’ for the upcoming 20252026 term and to help our school members pay their fees that are interested in attending the upcoming DCON. Participating at our cities basketball league games has been a great experience and an amazon opportunity to build a stronger bond with our communities employees and residents.

Baldwin Park | January DCM
”Oh what fun it is to… participate in the January DCM at a Cultural Center?!?! On January 18th, seven of our members had the opportunity to learn about Taiwanese culture before the New Year and got to participate in many of the activities the Cultural Center offered, such as calligraphy and putting together paper replicas of traditional headwear! Our members also got to bond with one another and put together care packages for those who have suffered from the local wildfires. club club

JANUARY
DCM
Our January DCM was held at the Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office! There, the staff guided us with making headwear and caligraphy, and also provided food for us! We couldn’t be more grateful for allowing us to use their facility. We also accepted donations and made care bags to help people recovering from the Eaton fires. This DCM was an exceptional experience that our members had a great time at!

D35W, you have made this month unimaginably beautiful. I am still so astounded by your willingness to grant me the honor to serve as your lieutenant governor for the next term. I cannot wait to bring out the many ideas I have in store, to continue the beautiful legacy our current and IP LTG(S) have built, and to have our sealies SHINE like the starry night. I am truly grateful for your unconditional love, support, and passion you all have for this division. Our division is astonishingly large and is filled with many people I am grateful to call my friends. I cannot wait to make many memories and put my all into this. May the light reflect upon you all, and may many more waves come by. Keep splashin’ 35 West,
